To whom it may concern,
I was a patron at your restaurant this evening (6/1/2024) and I wanted to reach out to make you aware of an incident I witnessed, as well as our experience with our server.
Our server’s name was Caroline, and from the moment we sat down and she introduced herself, it was clear to us that she was very unhappy and did not want to be there or to be serving us. There was such an air of misery around her that we contemplated leaving before we got our drinks and food. What was even more upsetting was that we witnessed her being extremely rude to one of her coworkers. I’m not sure of her name, but she was a young blonde woman. Caroline seemed to snap at the young woman and said “Are you going to do anything, or just stand there?” It made us feel very uncomfortable watching her treat a colleague like this, especially in front of paying customers. Due to Caroline’s behavior, we will not be returning to MainSail, which is a shame because the food was actually very good. Unfortunately, the staff was underwhelming and some what magicians as they consistently disappeared when needed. we tried to split the checks, and that was another issue. the staff seemed undertrained and uninterested in providing even average service. This type of attitude is generally driven by leadership, which was also absent. While the food and decor were good, I can not in good conscience recommend this place. Marriot, you are better than this. Please read this and heed it because great service is what your brand is known for. Read moreWe went there because we had a 20% off coupon. Also, we tried to make a reservation for 6 or 6:30 pm, but supposedly nothing was available. So we made reservations for 5:30. At no time was the restaurant ever full. Since they had just opened again for dinner, the first thing that was upsetting was that the menu listed under the Marriott/ Mainsail website is not the current menu at all. The current menu is very limited and consits of 13 items, 3 of them being Desserts. The waitress was very nice and tried what she could to please us. The food at the end was pretty good.
