From the moment i entered the lobby I was very happy with the service. i was able to check in early wit no problems. The lobby was clean, spacious and very inviting. Not to mention the free stick pretzels and fresh cold water available at all time. I'm not a coffee drinker but enjoyed the hot chocolate offered in the lobby at all time as well. The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Starting from the front desk to housekeeping. The hotel was very clean and smelled great. The room was clean. comfortable and very spacious. I had a 3 year old with me and he enjoyed all the space he had to play. I didn't feel cramped. The bathroom was clean and spacious as well. The bed was very comfortable and clean. Pillows were also comfortable. The pool was warm, clean, and a lot of fun for my 3 year old. Breakfast was fresh and many choices to chose from , hot and cold. No matter what time of day or night i walked through the hallways the staff would always great me and my son as well with a smile and a quick conversation. My guest that visited also commented on how nice and clean the entire hotel was. The fitness room looked clean and several machines to chose from ( I did not take advantage of that, I was alone with a 3 year old) but if I could have I would have. My son enjoyed a pretzel every time we walked in the lobby :) I've stayed at many different hotels and by far this was the best ! The price just adds to the overall experience. You cant get any nicer unless you want to pay more for less service. I felt very comfortable and stress free. I didn't want to leave :) I will stay at no other place when I visit Canton. I will be visiting there several times throughout the year. Excellent job from the front desk to Kristin in housekeeping. She never hesitated when I needed extra stuff. Very friendly and quick with my requests. Thank you Canton Fairfield Inn for a very comfortable pleasant experience. See you soon! Forgot to mention, this hotel is within 1 mile of several stores, restaurants, and a indoor mall. So much for so...
Read moreSharing a terrible experience at this hotel. I also went to management and complained and they were not helpful. When I showed up to check-in, there wasn’t a room for me. They didn’t tell me that. Instead they proceeded to tell me for an hour that “something was wrong” with the room for over an hour. They offered to send me to a hotel 30 minutes away. This was at 11pm and I had to be back at a meeting at 6am. I asked why they couldn’t send me somewhere local and they told me those hotels weren’t answering their phone. They finally called another brand and got me a night there. They also told me they would give me 90,000 points for my stay I thought this was a nice amount for the major inconvenience and I appreciated the effort to go above and beyond. The next day I came back to check in for the rest of my stay. It was pretty uneventful except the keys stopped working to my room every single day and I had to go back down to the front desk from the 3rd floor to get them fixed. The hotel is in a good location but is really worn down. I checked out and the next week I saw 3000 points were credited to my account. I reached out and asked why I wasn’t given the full amount. I was told I was never told that and that I would only get 3000 points. I explained that wouldn’t even give me enough points to book one night at this hotel. I not only lost out on my Marriott reward night but I also didn’t even get enough points to be compensate for a one night stay. I was also given the run around and lied to….they never did admit to overbooking. I went back and forth and it was just all around bad customer service and rudeness. I will say Marriott corporate finally stepped in and made things right. I really don’t recommend this hotel and highly suggest finding another one in the area….you probably won’t even have a room when you show up to check in if you do...
Read moreI travel all over and abroad throughout the U.S. and such to various hotels.
Most hotels are very accommodating upon arrival.
I mostly travel as a designated driver for the Amish Community to accommodate their travel needs. They don't all have identification per their belief mandates.
So at times they book hotels and have had no problem without identification to complete full bookings to end of stay.
The Amish lady and her family. Had no identification upon check in. And so I wasn't extremely happy with response from the clerk. As to state with no identification present upon arrival. We can not book your rooms reserved. So you tell me the millions a year that the hard working Amish spend at your hotel chain. Everyone of them has been required to present identification. I tell you from first hand experience that that is inaccurate. So I had to put everything in my name and my credit card account.
So after booking over to my name to accommodate the Amish party. I asked for either my AAA or Veterans Discounts as usual protocol. I was told that not possible as to being so late in the system 👀. Really!!! 👎 I've checked in at plenty of hotel counters. Whether booked in my name or other parties in the past. And have gotten my AAA or Veterans discount applied to rates on the spot. 👎
Since when are double queen bed and single bed room rates the same across the board. I've never paid same across the board ever for different bed accommodation.
And the quoted price was slightly higher at the end. Which was to include taxes etc... 👎
And for the average of 200 a night a room. This hotel has outdated rooms like an upscale look of a Motel 8. 👎
*Breakfast was subpar for that standard of a hotel. 👎
