Waffle House — Restaurant in Ohio

So we walked into an empty restaurant and were greeted with HI WELCOME TO WAFFLE HOUSE SIT WHEREVER YOU WANT. Then she sat down and stayed there while another waitress took care of us.

I ordered chili. A bowl of cold, pasty-thick chili literally was dropped in front of me onto the table. No crackers. Waitress scrambled off to sit with the other.

The manager is too busy in the back room to notice his staff are extremely dismissive of guests.

Eventually I was asked how my chili was. I said, "Cold, pasty and doesn't taste right, and now I lost my appetite." She threw it into the garbage right in front of us.

Daughter's food comes, the cook skid it satisfied the table because now, all the waitresses are in the back room. Daughter asked for mayo. The cook THREW IT on our table. A few minutes later, an off -colored bowl of chili was "deposited" onto our table as if pigs were being slopped. It didn't look right, and I already did loose my appetite. Waitresses acted all peeved when I rejected it.

Their attitudes sucked. It was as if we were ruining their evening because we came in wanting to eat. They acted mad because they were expected to work at work. Imagine that right! Not returning.

On a positive note, the coffee was good.

Really a NO STAR review. Our trip reflected their service and...

Not a wonderful 1st time experience.. 1.) For being a "Waffle house"; they only had three or less choices of waffles. (No strawberries, no caramel or apple toppings, no whipped cream AND they were not even hot enough to melt the butter I put on them.) 2.) The steak I ordered was luke warm. 3.) They forgot to put toppings on the hash brown order. 4.) **This one was extremely disorienting...as I'm attempting to have a conversation with my friend, I hear a woman SCREAMING out food orders, dropping plates, running around back and forth on top of ringing out customers. I could NOT believe what I was hearing, very maddening and rude! 5.) Breakfast for two was nearly $30.00 for cold and uninteresting food.

Dear Management, please ask waitresses and servers to quiet down and respect that people want to be able to eat and have a conversation without screaming in the back ground. Offer a variety of choices and toppings for the waffles you opened your restaurant to serve.

I'll try one more visit just to see if maybe it was a bad day on that particular day but if it's the same, my opinion stands.

Came in around 2ish and the server told myself, my boyfriend and our out of town friends. We will not be able to dine in because she refuses to cook, clean up and waitress when the rest of the staff is on break for 15 minutes. We said we would wait 15 minutes until they come and she mubbled something and turned her back to us. We sat down waiting for anything from her, which all she did was swear and talk completely inappropriate. All the tables were dirty. When a guest said the bill is gonna be split she told the guest that they will be paying for their bill before they eat because she isnt cooking a meal if they didnt have any money. We waiting over 30 minutes, the rest of the staff came in and not one person said a word to us. They didnt ask if we needed anything. We called Uber to come and get us and even as Uber pulled up they still never asked us anything. We will never be back at a Waffle house ever. We will make sure our friends and family know our experience. We should have just waited until 6am and...
