This was hands down the worst hotel experience I have ever been to, and I have never left a Google review for anything before, but this was horrendous.
For starters, we got to our first room which smelled horribly of smoke. We were going to try to just deal with it, but it became so overwhelming to where we had to request a switch of rooms. A staff member at the front desk said that they had to fumigate some of the rooms, which was concerning.
When we got to our second room, we couldn’t get the door open. That’s actually not an exaggeration, the door was practically sealed shut. After trying to push against it and open it, an extremely rude employee who had nothing but underwear on came out of the room next to us and screamed for us to keep it down, when all we were trying to do was push our door open. (For reference, employees and the owner live here I guess.)
We felt super bad to have to request a third room, but we physically couldn’t get in our room after probably 30 minutes of attempting. The third room that they gave us had a bloodstained couch and a bed in a second room. We didn’t want to be any more of a problem, so we just took that room and avoided the couch at all costs. I’ve seen reviews about bed bugs, but we never saw any. The sheets were heavily stained though.
We then decided to sit outside and chill for a while, when four police cars showed up to the hotel. The lady at the desk said that there was a domestic abuse case happening upstairs and told us that we should stay out of the hotel. She also said that a child was kidnapped by their father in the hotel, which made everyone pretty uneasy. It was genuinely the weirdest and grossest place I’ve ever been. We literally showered with Crocs on because of how dirty the shower was.
And I notice the owner likes to get sarcastic in these Google reviews, but maybe tell your naked employees staying in guest rooms to start getting dressed before coming out and yelling at your paying guests.
In short: wear shoes at all times, sleep on top of the covers or just buy an air mattress honestly, and make sure you get all your shots because you never know in this hotel where you’ll find blood or suspicious sticky content. One last thing I will add is that there was a lady at the front desk with multi-colored hair who was very polite and nice and was the only positive part of our stay. Honestly, there are so many other nice hotels around that area that I’m sure would be great alternatives. Unfortunately, I will never be able to forget the...
Read moreI usually dont write reviews unless something is beyond amazing or just horrible. This is the latter, it is not possible to go more negative with the experience.||I booked a room for my son's flag football tournament. The team was supposed to stay there. By the time I made it to the area after an 8 hr drive, I started to get calls and messages with photos from other parents about the conditions - half of them were leaving as they felt VERY uncomfortable staying there. This is a travel flag football team that has stayed in many less then recommended hotels.||From the broken door locks where doors wouldn't close, and others that wouldn't lock, open areas of construction, crunchy rugs, a crackhead looking person roaming the halls that they were told has lived there for months, blood in a bath tub, dirty sheets, dirty mattress covers, spots on the underside of the mattresses, rooms with no A/C, I could go on... a couple parents were shuffled between rooms until they found lockable doors and A/C. Then some had enough and left.||I’ve attached some images below from the families that had made it to the hotel and decided to leave (with whom I joined at the new hotel)||After seeing the pictures and hearing the stories, I decided to follow the team. I called to inform them I was canceling the reservation. I was actually “disconnected” (hung up on) while indicating to them why I was canceling and that I wanted a refund. It took a couple of calls to get the front desk back on the phone. The hotel even had the audacity to charge me for the night before I arrived even though it was canceled 10 days before.||Since, I have contacted Wyndham corporate and travel agency that booked the room. Corporate said they would not do anything, it is up to the hotel flying their flag to take care of customer complaints! Wow. Adios Wyndham. The Travel Agency has indicated to another parent the hotel is refusing to refund anyone. Looks like they need the revenue to fix this roach motel.||I cant rate the rooms other than off the pictures since I canceled before ever making it there. The service is -5 stars. The location near the event would have been ok. We ended up finding a block of rooms 15 minutes away. After being hung up on, given the run around from hotel management, and then the property not working with the Travel Agent to solve the problem, clearly the customer experience is not important to them and they have proved they will take your money and run. I've crossed Wyndham off my list of companies to give...
