I usually dont write reviews unless something is beyond amazing or just horrible. This is the latter, it is not possible to go more negative with the experience. I booked a room for my son's flag football tournament. The team was supposed to stay there. By the time I made it to the area after an 8 hr drive, I started to get calls and messages with photos from other parents about the conditions - half of them were leaving as they felt VERY uncomfortable staying there. This is a travel flag football team that has stayed in many less then recommended hotels. From the broken door locks where doors wouldn't close, and others that wouldn't lock, open areas of construction, crunchy rugs, a crackhead looking person roaming the halls that they were told has lived there for months, blood in a bath tub, dirty sheets, dirty mattress covers, spots on the underside of the mattresses, rooms with no A/C, I could go on... a couple parents were shuffled between rooms until they found lockable doors and A/C. Then some had enough and left. I’ve attached some images below. After seeing the pictures and hearing the stories, I decided to follow the team. I called to inform them I was canceling the reservation. I was actually “disconnected” (hung up on) while indicating to them why I was canceling and that I wanted a refund. It took a couple of calls to get the front desk back on the phone. The hotel even had the audacity to charge me for the night before I arrived even though it was canceled 10 days before. Since, I have contacted Wyndham corporate and travel agency that booked the room for a refund. Corporate said they would not do anything, it is up to the hotel flying their flag to take care of customer complaints! Wow. Adios Wyndham. The Travel Agency has indicated to another parent the hotel is refusing to refund anyone. Looks like they need the revenue to fix this roach motel. I cant rate the rooms other than off the pictures since I canceled before ever making it there. The service is -5 stars. The location near the event would have been ok. We ended up finding a block of rooms 15 minutes away. After being hung up on, given the run around from hotel management, and then the property not working with the Travel Agent to solve the problem, clearly the customer experience is not important to them and they have proved they will take your money and run. I've crossed Wyndham off my list of companies to give my businesses.

Upon check-in, the front desk gave us the room and key card. Went to the room and opened the door with the key card. The room was already occupied! There were personal belongings from another guest. THEY LET US INTO SOMEONE ELSE'S ROOM!!! Returned to the front desk and they gave us a key card for another room. They do not do housekeeping on the weekend if you stay for more than one night. They provide just the tiniest little bar of soap and half a roll of TP. When I requested additional shampoo for the second day, they just gave me 2 tiny tubes of conditioner, no shampoo. I spoke with the owner who said that they do not do housekeeping for "stayovers" on the weekend. A stayover is someone who spends 2 nights of the weekend there. He said it was a post-covid thing (as if cleaning a room was in any way related to covid). The so-called fitness center is a bench, three pairs of dumbbells (40, 45, 50 lb) and a few cardio machines. I did not use the cardio machines to see if they work. The room is dirty and cold. The walls are damaged and in need of repair and paint... like the rest of the building. Finally, and this is very concerning, all the fire doors on the stairwells are propped open with blocks of wood that seem to be glued to the door frames. So the doors will not close. If there was a fire there, it would spread quickly through the stairwells. Make this your last resort if you need a place to stay. They do not care about the safety (fire doors) and security (giving out wrong room keys) of their guests.

Our stay was booked through hotels.com. I selected the option to pay at the hotel. This hotel ran my credit card before I even checked in. They stated it was because there's a lot of fraud. Then they informed us that there is $100 deposit for the room. If you pay with your card it will take 3 to 5 business days, so we paid with cash so we would get it. When we checked out the next day to "make sure you don't steal anything". I gave it two stars because the service was good and the location was good for what we needed. The building looked good on the outside, but the hallways smelt like a musty old cabin that had been closed up for the winter and just opened back up. We entered the room and there were stains on the floor and the sitting chair. All of the surfaces were sticky, and I heard that from a friend who stayed in another room. The inside of the heater/Ac unit had dust or something. Take a look at the pictures to know what the bathroom looked like. We asked for a plunger because the toilet plugged up after the first use, then never unplugged the entire time. Our friends who stayed in another room said their plumbing was also bad. To be in the stream of the shower, you had to basically press yourself against the wall and it wasn't adjustable. Breakfast was sub-par. Not going to recommend. Which sucks because the people working their were great.

This was hands down the worst hotel experience I have ever been to, and I have never left a Google review for anything before, but this was horrendous.

For starters, we got to our first room which smelled horribly of smoke. We were going to try to just deal with it, but it became so overwhelming to where we had to request a switch of rooms. A staff member at the front desk said that they had to fumigate some of the rooms, which was concerning.

When we got to our second room, we couldn’t get the door open. That’s actually not an exaggeration, the door was practically sealed shut. After trying to push against it and open it, an extremely rude employee who had nothing but underwear on came out of the room next to us and screamed for us to keep it down, when all we were trying to do was push our door open. (For reference, employees and the owner live here I guess.)

We felt super bad to have to request a third room, but we physically couldn’t get in our room after probably 30 minutes of attempting. The third room that they gave us had a bloodstained couch and a bed in a second room. We didn’t want to be any more of a problem, so we just took that room and avoided the couch at all costs. I’ve seen reviews about bed bugs, but we never saw any. The sheets were heavily stained though.

We then decided to sit outside and chill for a while, when four police cars showed up to the hotel. The lady at the desk said that there was a domestic abuse case happening upstairs and told us that we should stay out of the hotel. She also said that a child was kidnapped by their father in the hotel, which made everyone pretty uneasy. It was genuinely the weirdest and grossest place I’ve ever been. We literally showered with Crocs on because of how dirty the shower was.

And I notice the owner likes to get sarcastic in these Google reviews, but maybe tell your naked employees staying in guest rooms to start getting dressed before coming out and yelling at your paying guests.

In short: wear shoes at all times, sleep on top of the covers or just buy an air mattress honestly, and make sure you get all your shots because you never know in this hotel where you’ll find blood or suspicious sticky content. One last thing I will add is that there was a lady at the front desk with multi-colored hair who was very polite and nice and was the only positive part of our stay. Honestly, there are so many other nice hotels around that area that I’m sure would be great alternatives. Unfortunately, I will never be able to forget the...
