I am giving a review of 3 stars for this issue as It wasn't directly the malls fault but the kiosk within it.
My girlfriend and I went to the Belden Village Mall and were pulled by a kiosk salesman named Niv. He showcased his beauty products such as the flat iron and ceramic brush.
He then used them on my girlfriends hair and she loved it.
Well needless to say we bought the kit he suggested for a hefty price of $319.50 and as we were walking away from the kiosk he told us there are no refunds. This concerned me as I didn't know that prior to purchasing and would have impacted my decision to make the sale.
We went home and decided to look up the company in which he was affiliated with called "Straight Ahead Beauty". There were plenty of reviews on the Better Business Bureau as well as other sites claiming that they scam their customers in a tactic called the "bait and switch" where they use a different item then the one they sell to their customers to appear as a higher quality item.
Knowing that information we decided we are not comfortable with their products and I called Niv the very next day and let him know that we would like a refund, to which he told me that he can not do that and claims he told us prior to the sale which is untrue. I then told him that I will be calling the mall as well as making a dispute with my bank to which he replied that I will not win as he has security cameras.
Another thing worth noting is none of the products were sealed in new packing aside from the Moroccan Hair Serum and salon comb which are still sealed. Some of the products had signs of use prior to us even testing it which was another thing that made us feel discomfort.
Lastly the quality of the products feel very cheap for the...
Read moreThis mall is very clean and well kept. I just wish they would listen more to what stores people want in there. People miss the Hallmark and bookstore, also some kind of music store is always mentioned by people. I think they need to expand the variety of stores and to think of the middle class people more. The food court could use more of variety of places to eat. I will say the gyro food is very good, also they have a great nutritional food place that has awesome smoothies. However, there really is not a place to go with the exception of Auntie Anne's pretzels were you can pick up something reasonably priced. I remember back in the day my children were young, they had taco bell, McDonald's and cheaper places were people could afford to take their family for a bite to eat at the mall and not spend a lot of money. I like the fact that they have a Dairy Queen. I just wish they would have more of variety of stores instead of just clothing and sports stores. A card shop/bookstore would be great in this mall. Management needs to understand everybody can not afford a lot of the stores and I have heard many complaints about Payless shoes gone along with the other stores I mentioned before. Malls are closing bc a lot of people order online. Belden is a great, clean mall but please listen to what people want. With Sears gone they should consider another anchor store...such as maybe a Jcpenney store. There are rumors a Dick's store will replace where Sears was, but again they have enough sporting stores up there. Overall, the mall is very clean and well kept and I enjoy going there....but want a store different from jewelry stores, clothing and...

She finally went over to check out the now growing line in her section, I was totally not feeling that situation so I left didn't purchase a thing. We went to Macy's found what we were looking for a few other items and great customer...
