My husband and I just spent 3 wonderful days at Captain's Quarters.. Everything was perfect from beginning to end. Scott confirmed our reservation several times and check-in was wonderful. We cannot say enough positive things about our stay. We had Suite 5 which was top-notch. We had a full kitchen which we used to make breakfast each morning. The living room area was very comfortable and we enjoyed our Christmas movies each night on the couch. The bedroom was spacious and the king size bed was sooo comfortable. Oddly enough, my favorite room was the bathroom. I have stayed once before and was so excited to have the luxurious bathroom again. The shower was so roomy and the towels were ooh la la la-the best towels I have ever used anywhere and this comes from someone who has enjoyed many cruises, etc. Our dog loved his stay also. If you want a place to take your dog on vacation, this is where you want to go. They cater to your pups. Plenty of places to walk and get your exercise. CQ is centrally located between downtown and several delicious restaurants, bars and a brewery. All are within walking distance (but much better to enjoy walking to in warmer weather). We loved it so much that we booked the same long weekend next year. Even hoping to maybe sneak in another weekend next spring....looking forward to...
Read moreWe are very grateful to Scott for creating a clean and welcoming space with the flexibility to bring our cocker spaniel on vacation with us! After years of renting a pet friendly house, we opted for a slightly shorter trip to OGT this summer and we were very excited to find that Captains Quarters was pet friendly. We rented one of the two bedroom units, as we also have two young children. Scott and Peter were so friendly and helpful and the housekeeping staff was very attentive as well (we were very impressed with their system to help service the rooms without interfering with the dogs!) We really liked the unit and how it had the separate kitchen and living room areas, just like a house rental would. The location was also great— we enjoyed walking to town and liked that there was a wide variety of restaurants available in a very short distance. Our older daughter was very pleased with the proximity to the ice cream shop , as well! We have already planned a return visit to Captains...
Read moreCozy little motel rooms on Route 1 in Ogunquit. If you are visiting Ogunquit and think of a motel as just a place to sleep when you aren't sightseeing then this is the place for you. They have some of the lowest rates in the area but you still get a clean room and a comfortable bed. There are only 6 rooms and we stayed in one with a queen sized bed. The room had a comfortable bed, A/C, small flat screen TV, small fridge, Keurig coffee maker, microwave, and free WiFi. The bathroom was nice/clean and the shower was great. The location is nice because they are within easy walking distance from several restaurants and close to downtown Ogunquit without being in the middle of the traffic slowdowns that happen during the summer. Note that there is no office on-site. The office is at the Gazebo Inn just...
