Panhandle Getaways Calypso Tower III — Local services in Panama City

We stayed in Calypso Tower 3 Room 808. Very nice accommodations. The room was very clean and the furnishing up to date and in very good condition. All appliances worked well, Washer, Dryer, Stove, Dishwasher, Microwave. Kitchen was well equipped and easy to work in. I was able to prepare multiple meals during our trip. The pool was every nice and during the time we were there, there was live entertainment on Mon, Wed and Fri evenings. Really enjoyed the entertainer, who performed a mix of new and older country music and pop music. Elevator wait times were never very long for third week in July. Got a very good salad from cafe on the first floor. Was actually surprised how good the salad was. I was not the biggest fan of the parking deck. I felt it needed better lighting. There were also sections that were blocked off for repairs, which was not convenient. The carts for moving in and out were heavy duty, well maintained and worked great. I did have to give my drivers license to get the cart, which I did not like doing. I felt the initial pricing on the Panhandle Getaways Website was miss leading. The initial price does not include taxes, cleaning fess, parking fees, and other fees. The actual final pricing was about 20-25% more than what you are initial given. I probably paid about what I normally pay at the end of the day, but it was not the bargain that I thought I was getting a first. The room had a good view of the gulf, to be on the second row. Not as good as a gulf front tower, but still good view. The balcony was a nice size and didn't feel cramped. Enjoyed to sitting on the balcony and seeing the gulf or looking down at the pool. The location is also close to the pier and shopping areas, grocery stores, so very convenient. Also, both TVs were in excellent condition and very large screens. Wifi worked great. AC worked great. Shower in master bath worked good. Overall, the rooms were layout well and worked good. Room had bunk beds and sleeper couch, but we did not use either, but they appeared to be in good condition.

During our stay, they were also doing some safety renovations. These renovations were unobtrusive and we definite felt safe and had no concerns.

We stayed here 6/2021. I can't give this condo more than 3 stars because of the location. If this building were on the beach like every other condo building in PCB, I would give it a 5. This is a new building. We were on the 19th floor in a really nice condo with a huge balcony (around 400 sq ft). The problem is that it's across the street from the beach on Front Beach (the strip). Panama City still does not manage the traffic or astonishing noise pollution on this stretch of road. The drivers actually alter their cars and horns to be deafening. So the experience on the balcony is a view of the beach on the left, a view of the pool below, and construction of a large condo and retail complex on the right. You can't have a conversation out there most of the time. To the far right is where helicopters land and take off every 15 min from about 9-9 every day. The street starts up with honking from what sounds like freight trains around 5pm and goes on til midnight or later every day. The trash trucks start at 5:30ish am, then construction begins at 6:30am. The construction and helicopters are what you hear at the pool as well. Sleeping was a challenge every night. The noise could be heard in every bedroom. It rattled the windows. I have never been in an actual war zone, but I'm confident this is exactly how it sounds. I've lived in 2 highrises before. They used soundproof doors and windows. This place did not. The 19th floor sounds like being on the street. I'm shocked these...

Wow! I highly recommend this place! I had the most amazing birthday getaway! We stayed in Calypso Tower 3 unit 1406 and this place was fabulous! Everything about the location was perfect. We felt so much at home here. The condo is 3 bedrooms and was surprisingly roomy. I appreciated how impeccably clean it was and the décor was perfect! I couldn't help but wish I could live there full time! The access to the beach is super easy with a short walk through connected towers. When I wanted to relax by the pool, I was impressed by how huge it was and how you could find your private area to lounge. There are even private cabanas to rent that have personal televisions if you don't want to miss out on a televised sporting event! Easy walk to the main entertainment area and open air mall. The staff was responsive and our host know true hospitality as we stayed in contact and they checked on us and provided us with great suggestions for activities and restaurants for our stay. At times, my husband and I ventured out of the area and discovered unique gems in the area. I definitely would return and I want this exact same condo when I return. I would love to bring a few grandkids with us because the condo could accommodate them easily in...
