As a frequent patron...a recent visit to Pig Pen was super disappointing, particularly due to the way a staff member handled a situation involving a service dog.
Upon arrival, we asked the staff if they were okay with a service dog and they assured us it was fine. After spending an hour outside, we decided to move inside and informed our waitress.
However, once inside, we were abruptly approached by an older man, who was working behind the very bar we initially made the inquiry at, who unceremoniously told us the dog had to go without asking any questions. We informed him that she was a service dog with certification, but his reaction was anything but understanding. His rude demeanor and disbelieving facial expressions made us feel unwelcome and disrespected.
Service dogs are legally allowed in public places, and the lack of awareness and empathy from this staff member was unacceptable. I hope PP takes this feedback seriously and works towards better training their staff on how to properly handle such situations in the...
