When my husband and I got married, we walked into Bedding Shoppe to purchase our first mattress. I still remember at that time there was a customer there discussing how the mattress she purchased from Mike has felt brand new for a long long time. She said it was the only mattress she’s needed to purchase. She was getting ready to retire and was shopping to accommodate her move. Well anyway, we made our first mattress purchase with Mike that same day. The shopping experience for us was enjoyable. Mike is a walking encyclopedia for everything bedding, truly. Allow me to elaborate further.

That day, 12 years ago, my husband had also purchased an accompanying pillow for our new mattress. Sadly, I did not. My husband had told me to buy the same pillow as him, but I didn’t listen. I was mistaken to think I could find a comparable pillow elsewhere. Boy was I wrong. Shopping elsewhere for my pillow has caused me to completely throw money to the wind, wake up frequently with a painful stiff neck (which negatively affects my productivity), and out of desperation, play tug of war with my husband for a pillow he rightfully owns. I implore you to please learn from my mistake. If you want a restful night’s sleep…if you want to wake up without pain or discomfort…if you want peace in your marriage, look no further. Shop at Bedding Shoppe. Be wise like my husband. Spend the money now, so that you can save in the long run. I’ve gone through many pillows, whereas my husband has remained contented with his original pillow from Mike. It’s still holding up strong and delightful all these years.

Well, recalling how pleasant my first shopping experience was, I went to Bedding Shoppe again yesterday. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Mike heard my story. He pulled up my purchase. My husband’s pillow is no longer available (no surprise since it’s been over 10 years), and yet Mike was able to give me a comparable one. This is a redemption story. Bedding Shoppe to the rescue. My new pillow feels very similar to my husband’s pillow. Hip hip hooray!

And just in case you’re wondering, our mattress is still holding up sturdy and strong, feeling the exact same as the day it entered our home back in 2012. Isn’t that amazing? I was shopping around for a new mattress during the October of 2015 Columbus Day sales. Let me tell you that larger bed mattress chain stores aren’t always better. I visited at a particular franchise a few times and surely wasn’t happy with their highly advertised so called “20% price beating or it’s free guarantee” as they looked for excuses not to compete on a Tempurpedic mattress. Sometimes the best form of advertisement is word of mouth and internet reviews. I’ve talked about shopping around for a mattress with a few friends and we seemed to agree about the first experiences of trying the so called larger store (whose name will remain anonymous) as each of us had walked out not feeling like it was such a great deal. One of my neighbors gave a high recommendation to the Bedding Shoppe in Parsippany as he bought a bed set and knew the store staff for many years. I also did read about the Bedding Shoppe customer’s reviews online as I wanted to try a new place. It was very close by and convenient to stop in as it was time well spent! I met the owner Mike Hatler and the store manager Eric Goordman for which they were quite helpful and not using any high pressure sales tactics. I explained my situation about wanting to invest in a longer lasting great quality Tempurpedic mattress for the first time while hoping to get away from the lower back pain problems. I asked if they could order a particular model I wanted to try as I had not ever “test driven” it before as I was going by 2 people’s recommendations to shop for that mattress. Mike had taken the time on a few of my visits to make some comparisons of some other mattresses as to what to expect from the product as he surely knew what he was talking about. We planned a date and they were right on schedule as it very quick and easy to take care of everything during their visit. I was exceptionally happy with the comfort of the mattress as it was right on the money and have been sleeping much better since then. I would gladly give them a FIVE STAR RATING as I couldn’t have asked for anything else beyond the COURTEOUS SERVICE, KNOWLEDGE, PRODUCT SELECTIONS, and GREAT PRICING FOR GOING THE EXTRA DISTANCE TO MAKE FIRST TIME CUSTOMERS INTO PERMANENT CUSTOMERS! They’re currently running a Veteran’s Day sale as I’ve been telling people to go to the Bedding Shoppe and will continue to do so as I know a great thing when I see it. THANK YOU MIKE & ERIC!

I live in Bergen County and was referred by a friend to come to this store base on their own experience. Even though the drive was 40 mins away, I am so glad I made my purchase here. First, I had called the same day i went to see what time they closed. I briefly spoke to Mike and he informed me the hours. I left after work with my boyfriend and with traffic we arrived literally 6 minutes before their closing time. I was scared I would be turned away but Mike was so kind and recognized my voice from calling earlier. He didn’t rush us and told us to take our time in choosing the mattress. We told him what we liked and didnt like so he helped us narrow it down. I also liked that he offered a bed sheet to use to try each mattress, it allowed us to get a better feel to lay completely on the mattress without worrying dirtying it or laying on any left from someone else. Not only did we purchase our mattress that same night but we got it delivered within two weeks (macys estimate said 8-10 weeks due to covid). Mike informed me in advance what days he had opened for delivery and gave me a few options and then the day before gave me the time frame. Now the day of the delivery they arrived within the time frame which I was happy about not wasting my entire day waiting. And the mattress was perfect.
