I am soooo frustrated. Why? Because my wife and I Enjoyed a couple of delicious Mojito’s and some of the best fried calamari at this restaurant.

We had settled in. Encouraged by our wonderful server to relax and assured that we were not being hurried. After the calamari we took a moment to fight drinks, we were ready to order more.

So here's the thing, between orders we each had a laptop out. Just doing a quick bit of online stuff.

Out of the blue, one of the hosts approaches us and declares he is moving us to the bar because laptops are not allowed. Which, fine... If that's a rule I can live with it, but it is definitely not posted anywhere.

The issue I have? It's one of tact, manners, and proper customer service. Why not offer us the choice of putting the laptops away and keeping the table? We did not need reservations to get in, it was clear there are other tables available, and the waitress had said there was not hurry.

Why come at us with presumption and a hostile attitude? Anyway, once the spell is broken, it’s broken. We declined to order more food, left a generous tip for our nice server, and took off.

Update... Read the 1-star reviews, it seems what happened is not an isolated incident, and it seems that the restaurant might even be deliberately curating its "crowd" for image purposes, and that whoever oversees the dining area (referred to as "the male host" in other one-star reviews) that gave us trouble has done the same to others. I'd have to guess he does it with the approval of the owners, and if not, then the owners need to know what's happening and apply corrective action.

Given that what happened is not an isolated incident, I felt compelled to drop my review to 1 stars. The calamari really was very good, so it's a true shame this restaurant had to ruin it. But frankly, the way we were treated is totally...

Party of 10 people. I order the orecchiette, my partner orders the fillet mignon which came with grilled broccholini. We switch half way through so we get to enjoy more food. I take a bite of the broccholini and right away notice an extremely heavy "char" flavor which continues to grow. In an effort not to be crude at the table, I chewed quickly, drank water, and swallowed the bite. It quickly becomes apparent as I start to choke that this is not "char", but rather I have what I imagine to be the taste of kerosene in my mouth that is becoming stronger and stronger. Ten minutes of coughing, choking, and light headedness passes. We alert our server, who smelled the vegetable in question, and he agreed that it did indeed smelled of fuel. He bought the manager out, who corroborated the kerosene flavorings because he said that his meal that he was eating in the back also had an unusual flavor to it. The manager tried to explain that this was due to grease flare up from the grill. Now, I have a grill at home and I use it for meat and veggies, etc. I have experienced grease flares before and I assure the reader that this was NOT that case. This tasted like the kitchen had dropped the broccholini in the grill's grease trap (by accident??) but thought to still serve it anyway. To his credit, the server and manager did what they could to make the situation right. The meal was comped, assistance was offered multiple times, and dessert for our party was on the house. However, I cannot in good conscience recommend this place to ANYONE with the experience I had. Good service does not balance poor standards in the kitchen. Incidentally, the table next to us also had a bad experience as we witnessed them send back three of...

Not Terrible, Just not good.

Somewhat lengthy review ahead so Ill bullet point and then theres some detail

incredibly overpriced . Just dropped $350 bucks for 3 people -food quality is very poor - its obvious corners are being cut service is lacking, dont expect a smile

Okay details

We live in Boston so we are used to pretty upscale eateries and decent meals / service. We have a culinary background and we own our own business. P-town doesnt have a very diverse offering of resturaunts.

Our server had zero friendly demeanor and wasnt very outgoing. She lacked attention to detail and appeared to be missing some basic qualifications one should posess when working with the general public

Ordered the tower for an appetizer as well as a side plate. Side plate never came. Tower was 6 oysters, 6 shrimp. Seaweed salad and lobster ceviche. Shrimp were medium sized and the seaweed and ceviche was about 2 tablespoons worth. This appetizer is wayyy overpriced.

Asked for a cocktail menu - server said there wasnt one because the wine list was being redone - which made no sense. What resturaunt doesnt have a cocktail menu? Even Applebees has one and thats a dumpster resturaunt.

Ordered a glass of red wine, showed up in a freshly out of the dishwasher very hot white wine glass

Ordered Steak Frittes , steak rare - steak frittes is a very specific dish. What I received was a 12oz piece of "gray, not fresh" overcooked meat (its really really hard to mess up rare) and a side of french fries and 1, yes 1 ketchup packet.

Then the 350 bill comes. Please chose another place to eat. You will be...

I came to the Patio for the first time this weekend when visiting P Town for the day. It is right on Commercial Street where all the shops and restaurants are. What a cute spot! We made a reservation, and we sat down once we arrived at the restaurant. The service was great! Very attentive servers were there to answer questions and make sure we had everything we needed. I went with a pineapple mojito and a fish sandwich. My meal was excellent. The drink came with crushed ice which was a nice touch. The drink was refreshing on a very humid day. I added American cheese to my sandwich and substituted my coleslaw for French fries. The fish sandwich was crispy on the outside with tender fish on the inside. The brioche roll was buttery and soft. The house made tartar sauce was absolutely delicious! I have never had a tartar sauce like this before. It was elevated, but still had similar notes to your traditional tartar. The French fries were super crispy and addicting. I would go back here in a heartbeat!
