I stayed her for a weekend trip and booked through air bnb. My room was very small but that was what was advertised. It’s a very clean and quiet place, and it’s a very short walk from the ferry. Mauricio who runs the place was super helpful and kind. The breakfast in the morning was really nice, the granola is great. They do take COVID seriously and require masks anywhere inside, but do not require vaccination. If you’re looking for a deal in ptown I would definitely recommend.

A disappointing experience with management more concerned with policy than their guests. I made reservations with Peter at The Captain's House in March, 2023 and was greatly looking forward to my one week stay with my partner. Our plans were unexpectedly changed when my grandfather died about three weeks prior to the stay and we had to handle the funeral during part of our scheduled stay. ||||First, we requested a trip alteration which was denied because of their strict adherence to their six day minimum policy. ||||Second, we agreed that if they could rebook the nights we could pay $100 for their trouble. Yet they would not cooperate in providing a refund that AirBnB would accept to refund AirBnB service fees which were over $20". Even after they rebooked our room! ||||Ultimately their definition of hospitality was satisfied with our experience of getting no services from them, a bill of $322.25, and their business getting all of the original fees and profits from another guest. They clearly are comfortable charging a grieving family money to their benefit. ||||I underline that their hospitality concluded with their communication of, "Please don't message me again." This is what a guest should expect if you have a death or anything unexpected happen while booking at this establishment and trying to politely work out the issue. I and no self respecting guest should...

The perfect place to stay if you love exploiting workers. Here’s an ad posted by the owner in the local Provincetown Housing group:

“Our 12 bedroom Bnb in the center of town is looking for part-time cleaner in trade for a bed. The 4 hours a day are 10am - 2pm, 5 days a week, weekends mandatory. The bed is a twin bed in the laundry room. We need a quiet, respectful and very clean person. The job includes, but is not limited to making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming, dusting, washing floors, washing windows and gardening. We need access to the laundry room (where the bed is) 7 days a week by 9am. Did a mention that the person needs to be quiet, respectful and VERY clean? All tips received from the day you start to the day you finish, will be yours. Please private...

The Captain’s House is cute, cozy, and a really good deal. It’s perfect for guests who are reasonably clean and quiet and want the same from their b&b. It’s right by the pier and surrounded by shops and restaurants. Mauricio was waiting for us to check in even though we arrived past 7, and he provided us restaurant recommendations. There were beach towels to borrow. The breakfast was delicious and filling: coffee, oj, fruit, english muffins with butter and jam, and homemade granola with yogurt or milk. We had breakfast outside on the terrace each morning with the other guests and had a lovely conversation. The cute cat was a bonus. I would absolutely...
