AMAZING!!! I just can’t say enough about the owner, Julie and her restaurant! They truly put their heart and soul into what they do. Julie catered our beach wedding that was supposed to be on a chartered sailboat out of MacMillan Warf but a last minute mechanical problem left us without a venue. We were devastated and we had 5 days to decide what to do as we had relatives coming from out of state so postponing wasn’t much of an option. Julie actually helped us and even offered to call the necessary people to make it happen!! Julie also agreed to deliver to our wedding on Herring Cove beach!! Now let me tell you about these lobster rolls!!! Holy smokes!!! These were the best lobster rolls we have ever had and this is coming from people who have had many a lobster roll from many places along the East Coast. These are hands down the best!!! They are served with very little mayonnaise and on the most deliciously fresh and toasted brioche rolls. Seriously, treat yourself to the best of the best! Thank you Julie, so much, for making our wedding meal so unforgettable!!!

My first time in Ptown I spent 9 days there. I left this place for last and for the Lobster Roll. Exceeded all my expectations. I love my lobster and this was delish. Disregard all the crybabies on the low reviews about how much meat is in there because you order it either 6 or 8 ozs and from what I was served it was weighed before adding dressings etc. it was hearty (I had an 8oz on brioche) As a former KM for a seafood restaurant the lobster delivered. Nothing but friendly people and time to talk (however it was at the tail end of the season so the crowds were at a low) and deliver a personal interaction. Market price fluctuates so be prepared to “shell” out (see what I did there 🤪) a little extra but it’s worth it and so are you to treat yourself. My only regret is not going earlier in the week so I could go back for another. Oh well! I guess next year you can put me down for two!

Such a cute little place and the staff could not be friendlier. The lobster they bring in fresh each day - and it was absolutely delicious. We had the grilled lobster and the lobster roll on brioche. The grilled lobster was different, it was served hot in a wrap and had melted cheese and avocado. It was their signature dish and it was pretty tasty. My sister enjoyed this the most. I’m more of a lobster roll gal. And let me tell you, I typically do not like cold lobster rolls but this was unbelievable. It was freakin delicious!! Personally would drop the tomatoes and lettuce next time, but not even a deal breaker. And they do not skimp on the lobster. They were so nice, they brought out our sandwiches as soon as they were made and wanted to know what we thought after. I will absolutely be back!

I never got around to writing my review for this place, after my visit here a few months ago, but now here I am.

I was there back in May, with my wife. It was her first time to Cape Cod in general, and she wanted to go to Provincetown. It was an insanely windy day, not too cold if the wind stopped, or you had something to shield you, but it was hard to do anything else.

When we walked in, we weren’t sure if they were still open, as it was past the lunch rush, but the proprietor was very friendly, welcomed us in, and had s nice chat with us.

The menu is fairly extensive, with a lot of different options. It can almost seem overwhelming, to someone that is used to places that just have simple sandwich setups.

I had said I had no idea what I wanted, and she went on the detail what was popular and I chose based on my tastes and such. She also described the lobster rolls to my wife, and she was intrigued by the hot lobster roll, and went with that.

The food was made to order, and it took a few minutes for us to receive our meals, all the while chatting us up, talking about the history of the area, and saying how long she had been in business there, and I commented that perhaps, given the length of time, I may have eaten there as a child when visiting there with my family.

She took the time to ask about my wife and I, h would w we met, when we were in Provincetown, and all that. She genuinely seemed to have an interest, because we were customers. It’s an old mindset, that a lot of places do not have anymore, and I wish there were still places like that around my house.

All in all, very friendly atmosphere, she even let us sit inside to eat, because of how windy it was outside, as she could tell my wife was cold. Definitely will be returning here on any...

I want to express my dissatisfaction and disappointment. So I’ve been waiting to pay for like 5 minutes, one of the employees took my order so It could happen faster, which I’m thankful for, she was so sweet and pretty. The woman who was working at the register at the moment (Jules/Julia/Julie), didn’t even want to look at me because there were other customers who came way after me. So I kept waiting. Then I said can I pay because I’ve been waiting. J. said to me well can you wait in a rude way, pointing that I was on my phone?! Am I not allowed to be on my phone while I’m waiting for my food?! So mean. She took my money in the meanest possible way. I was supposed to get a change but I didn’t because I felt so not welcomed. I left and she kept shouting at me to take my change. I said no, thank you. She threw the money in bad where my food is, which is disgraceful and disgusting. Thanks that she did that, so her employees who are looking scared of her can take something different than her negative energy and sassy attitude. Why am I saying that? Immediately after I payed she went to the sweet girl who took my order, the woman started yelling at the girl but in a silent way, so she could seem “sweet” to the customers. So the conclusion is, appreciate your AMAZING employees and lower your xenophobia especially in a town which is full of foreigners if you want your business to keep growing J (I believe she is the owner of the place).

Thanks, not coming back to Box Lunch, at least the...

Had an absolute horrible experience here. Walked in and was greeted immediately and they made a table for us which was great! Our server was very kind and efficient. However, after putting our food in which we ordered immediately upon sitting down, we had to wait over an hour to get our food. After patiently waiting we saw other tables who got sat after us get their food as we still waited. Our server was very understanding and we recognize it is not her fault, yet, as we were discussing the wait time amongst ourselves and deciding if we wanted to leave, and older blonde lady over heard us and rudely asked us what she wanted us to have her do and that the kitchen was making our order next. Nothing about our interaction was kind with her. She proceeded to stand at our table clearly annoyed as we tried to explain our frustration with the wait. We recognize that it was busy but with limited staff, no host, a continuation of taking orders without prioritizing current customers, and with the long wait we had it was anything but enjoyable. Another customer a few tables away from us got up to complain about the wait time as well so we know it was not just us. She told us she would “take care of our bill” yet as we received it no compensation was made and when we pointed it out she said nothing and simply walked away. Paying for the bill was not an issue but kinder service goes a long away. Extremely disappointed in this place especially after such...
