The Best Provincetown Has To Offer! Over the course of this summer, we've had the pleasure of dining at Freemans multiple times. It is unequivocally our favorite and "special place" in Provincetown. This charming establishment consistently delivers with an atmosphere and level of service that meet the highest standards. Freemans is both cozy and sophisticated. The attentive staff members anticipate every need, elevating the dining experience from the moment you're seated. The specialty cocktail menu is vast and their negronis are outstanding. Their specialty martinis are not only delicious but arrive in generously portioned glasses. Get the ginger or lemon drop! You won't regret it. The food is innovative and offers something more sophisticated and different in Provincetown. Start with the parker house rolls and ham and caviar service. Our favorite seafood dish is the branzino which boast great Greek flavors. Both of the pasta entrees are exceptional. The clams are tender and succulent, are in a sauce that stands out (get extra bread!) The duck confit is a balance of richness and tenderness. And let's not forget the desserts – we tried and loved all three. If you're a more sophisticated Provincetown experience with an elevated menu of food and drinks, Freemans is it.

BAR NONE, best spot in ptown. Arguably one of the best places to eat in New England. From the time we walked in, to the last drop of our cocktails, we were totally enamored by the competence of the team at Freemans. The food was prepared to perfection with beautiful presentation, incredible flavors and extremely satisfying textures. We started with the Scallop Crudo, loaded high quality scallops and an excellent presentation, this dish hits the spot. For entrees, we both shared the Truffle Bucatini and the Lobster tail. The pasta had the perfect amount of truffle, where you could truly taste the truffle in every bite. The lobster was cooked to perfection and topped with a beautiful Béarnaise sauce, that at first seemed overwhelming, but after the first bite I could have had it as soup. Creamy and light, the sauce was the perfect flavor to add to my lobster and asparagus. We can’t wait to come back and couldn’t emphasize enough - this place is worth the hype.

Freemans offers a remarkable fine dining experience right in the heart of Provincetown. The menu features a selection of rich, decadent and refined dishes and each one of them is delicious and prepared with extreme care and attention to every detail. Their wine and spirits list is also incredible and perfectly compliments their wonderful food. I was born and raised in Italy and I can assure you, Freeman's pappardelle could be featured on any menu all over the peninsula and people would most certainly fall in love with them. The service is extremely professional, kind and knowledgeable, attentive and never invasive, and the decor is simply gorgeous, inside and outside. I felt like I was dining in a fancy, luxurious restaurant from the 1920s. What an amazing, super pleasant meal I had! Warmly recommended.

Food: The food was the protagonist of this experience as it should be at every restaurant. Everything was delicious, portions were perfect and filled with bold flavors. We ordered the Bacalao, Halibut, Duck, House Rolls with honey butter and Cacio e Pepe (which I’m still thinking about) and have no complaints. For dessert we had the strawberry pastry and the dark chocolate and salted caramel, superb, no notes. Can’t wait to try the rest of the food.

Service: Five-star service all around. The host was attentive and nice, the manager greeted us and took our drink orders as we waited for our table to be ready (we were a little early), and our server Bruno really made our night. Bruno made sure we got the best fine dining experience without it feeling pretentious or stiff while remaining professional and extremely personable. His recommendations were also incredibly accurate and his timing of all the courses was impeccable. Will definitely be requesting Bruno in the future if that’s a possibility.

Atmosphere: What a gorgeous space! There isn’t anything like it in Ptown so far. The music was modern and vibrant which was a really good contrast to the dimmer and classic look of the restaurant and helped keep the ‘vacation mentality’ we try to have when we come visit Ptown as opposed to serious.

Overall it was a great experience I don’t think I can get anywhere else in Ptown. Will...

Had the pleasure of enjoying a couple of lovely dinners here this past month. Because everyone in town has been raving about this restaurant I was a little skeptical- how good can it actually be? And turns out, it is pretty incredible. I would describe the setting as modern Colonial- it feel both chic and anchored in tradion. The space is intimate, and also pleasantly quiet (accoustics are a major problem for many local restaurants- they can be extremely loud, not here). The service is exceptional- both staff and management are welcoming, engaged, courteous, attentive without being overbearing. The meal is perfectly timed. And as for the food- it is delicious. I have tried a fair portion of the menu now and some of my favorites are: the bread rolls (a must), the little leaf salad (such a refreshing blend of flavors), and the duck (perfectly tender confit). Deserts are good, they aren't excellent, but that's common in the industry. The drinks on the other hand are well thought out and executed, and definitely punch above what I would expect from a restaurant, certainly by local standards. The pear martini special I had was a delight. Overall, this place is a perfect for a special dinner, or a more...
