I work at a fast food restuarant myself and thus understand food service. When visiting this store, it is fairly obvious that the workers do not attempt to get people "in and out" in a timely manner. There are smile occasionaly, such as when they are required to do certain things (such as offer a sample) yet other than the few policues they are required to follow, the workers do not move with a "sense of urgency" and they do not give the presentation that they enjoy working there. I understand the difficulty to show a sense of happiness when serving others, yet it is not impossible to create a pride factor, so that the workers feel encouraged to try harder. The workers in the back are always visibly working, yet i also know that there are ways a kitchen person can help the serving line, and I feel a complete break between the "front of house" and "back of house", meaning each person is not invested in helping others to assist with the customer experience, they simply feel that they need to get "their own job done". I have never experienced an issue with greetings or farewells, which leads me to believe the workers understand the basics but are not challenged to surpass those standards. Every visit, no matter if there is a line of 2 people or 20, will take at least 10 to 15 minutes to get through the line. While creating an item at my own place of employement, we are able to push each item out in less than a minute, so it should not take as long, if not longer, to scoop an entree onto a dish. The food is consistant and delicious, which is why I return, however I often feel that it would make more sense for me to get behind the counter and help push the line out so Im not stuck watching the workers...
Read moreThis location is far better than the Santa Rosa location off Stony Point, never upsets my stomach like that location. Kitchen has a hustle to it, manager is often scattered while her team is busting-*. Unfortunately this last time the rush-rush resulted in 2 of 5 containers being packed into my bag on their sides, which let all the sauce drain into the bag, all over the utensils, sauce packets & fortune cookies. There was also a small hole in the bag, which allowed all that sauce to dribble everywhere, causing many messes that I had to clean; in my car, my house & on my clothes.
I wrote panda express with my complaint, but they have ignored my message without a response. I experienced this before with the other location, where cross contamination with raw chicken was witnessed, explaining why I kept having digestive havoc after eating from that location. That location also gave me 3 containers of straight broccoli, when it should have been 3 meat entrees that contained broccoli.
Panda Express as a corporate franchise is very inconsistent and evasive. They are not maintaining a certain level of quality in their services across their locations. They avoid customer complaints like a plague. Maybe they don't realize that complaints/failures are great opportunities for improvement. It would appear that Panda Express doesn't care much about customer satisfaction or continuous...
Read moreI'm Giving this place 4 stars for 1 reason, they are super busy 85% of the time but they try their best (it gets packed for lunch and dinner time), because of this their food is usually fresher but they do give smaller portions some times (it really depends on your luck). Like other people have commented this place seems to not have a clear leader, I've visited so many times but cannot tell you who the manager is(maybe I just keep missing them) which makes a chaotic shift. If you know you have no time to wait place an order online, food might sit there for a little bit but it beats standing in line for 20 minutes when you have a 30 min lunch. Personally my good experiences outweigh my bad ones so I will continue to go back, besides most of the employees are nice, in the middle of a rush is hard to give you their full attention but they still smile and are...
