On 5/9/2020 I purchased a sectional couch, a dinner table, a TV stand, a bed frame and a mattress. I was helped by Roger, the salesperson in the Rohnert Park location. Because we are in COVID-19 world my husband and I made sure to ask several times if all of the furniture would be brand new. Roger emphasized several times that ALL furniture was going to be brand new and in fact was coming from Stockton’s warehouse. We believed him, paid, signed the paperwork and closed the deal. This last Tuesday, 5/12/2020 we received the furniture. It was all in saran wrap and none in boxes. I thought it was a bit odd but I just thought that maybe they built it in their warehouse and then delivered it. Today, Friday I went back to Valley Furniture planing to purchase another bed frame and mattress, however, as I walked around the store I notice that ALL the items that I purchased were completely off the floor!!! I talked to the 2 ladies that were there and upsettingly I asked them if that was all the furniture I received in my house. They did not know what to say and were speechless because they didn’t want to give the wrong answer. I told them that it couldn’t be a coincidence that all of the same furniture I purchased was out of stock so it had to be removed from the floor. I cannot believe that they would do this to someone at a time like this. They delivered furniture they had on the floor with people sitting on it throughout the day -in COVID-19 times. I have kids sitting and sleeping on the furniture. How can these people sleep at night knowing that they could have potentially put a family in harms way just for them to make a quick buck???? I spent $5,000 worth of furniture and this is what they do? I should have taken my business to Ashley’s Furniture. —Please people do not shop here. If they did this to me, they will do this to you. — The staff pretends to be nice but clearly are liars. I am looking for a place to report them as I am sure this was NOT ok to do during these times AND without asking customers if they want floor models. DO NOT SHOP HERE.    Read moreDisappointing Customer Service Experience I recently purchased an item online and attempted to return it the next day, without even opening it. To my surprise, I was informed that the item was a "special order" and could not be returned—information that was neither disclosed online nor communicated over the phone.
When I spoke with Judy from customer service, she made no effort to offer a solution, not even store credit. I had to suggest ways to resolve the situation, but she refused to engage or provide any assistance. As someone in customer service, I expected her to propose some form of resolution.
Instead, I was repeatedly told that because the item was shipped from LA and they covered the travel costs, it couldn't be returned. This explanation is irrelevant to me as a customer; my only concern was purchasing an item online. The logistics of storing or transporting it should not affect my ability to return it.
At no point was I informed by Judy or anyone else that the item was non-returnable. I hope this review serves as a wake-up call for the company to improve its customer service policies and communication. Future customers should be aware of these issues before...
   Read moreFirst time at this place and skeptical of salesman comments re: quality, country of origin, and pricing. Tag was missing on the particular sofa that we were interested in so never did see the price or manufacturer or where made. Bought it anyhow but was concerned they might send out the display model. The next day we went back to the store and the salesman had a warranty copy for us and turned over the display so we could make a more thorough inspection.
Just as they promised, the delivery to our home was on time with a new boxed sofa. The two delivery guys carefully and efficiently unpacked and set it up for us. All claims made by the salesman were confirmed and now, a couple weeks later, we are totally satisfied with our purchase.
If the store would have had the the price and info tag attached to the piece while it was on display, would have bumped them up to 5 stars. Still a lingering concern that something so important was either neglected...
