Teriyaki Madness — Restaurant in West Sacramento

UPDATE well I went back today 6.23.23 and sadly my experience was nothing near what I had when the owner was actually there a year ago... I went into the store and ordered 2 different spicy steak tereyaki bowls with noodles and veggies. And a large spicy orange tereyaki bowl with rice and veggies(not the breaded one. Important because I pointed to a picture on the counter of the item to order as to make sure I didn't mess up the names between the two because they were so similar) then we were told 10 to 15 minutes. The girl who took our order left 2 new cashiers came in. We then continued to wait another 15 minutes before we were called to get our order and upon checking it the chicken was wrong so I brought it up to the woman with green hair who then told me I ordered wrong and if that's what's on my receipt. I reiterated that I ordered by pointing to the photo as not to mess it up. She was then extremely rude and told me I have to wait on my order again I then had to ask several times how long she thought before she answered me as my other food was done(?) I then checked the other 2 bowls to find The steak bowls and noodles bowls had maybe 5 or 6 pieces of meat each and a tiny handful of veggies(I'm over estimating). At this point I was done and asked for a refund for her to give attitude and be rude the whole time.

So overall it's a good concept if the owner can find workers to replicate the quality she did... I liked the food the one time I got to order it and it came out right but this customer service was shocking.

Food quality is amazing and the owner's customer service is 2nd to none. I've tried to go two evenings in a row now today and yesterday and she had staffing issues and unfortunately hard to close early. But she was amazing and even came to the door to personally explain everything. I will definitely be going back! can't wait till she has a full time staff that shows up for work. Totally recommended 10 out of 10. Hope this new business flourishes like...

Consistently the slowest restaurant I’ve ever experienced. One day I waited 45 minutes for a side order of edamame. Every visit, they come out at least twice to ask what I ordered. The staff is constantly just chilling and chatting instead of firing orders. I had high hopes because the food is decent for casual/fast dining. But I think today is my last visit. I ordered on the app and waited until the app told me it was ready for pick up. I got there and they hadn’t even started it. I thought it would be a convenient treat because I live a block away and could save on delivery fees and get a nice little walk out of it. But the wait, and total aloofness of the staff make it bot worth it. I got home tonight and discovered they gave me spicy tofu (instead of the regular tofu I ordered) which I can’t eat for medical reasons. It is absolutely not worth the walk back down and wait for them to retire. What a waste of...

UPDATED 8/31/23:

Visited again last week and ordered two regular chicken breast bowls w/o veggies. They were great as usual, perfectly cooked white rice and chicken. No mistakes. I wonder if the chicken breast bowls can be ordered with sauce on the side, because that would be wonderful.

ORIGINAL REVIEW: This is going to be a mixed review. The food has always been great, chicken, rice, noodles all good in my opinion. However I've had mistakes happen in my orders where errors were made in the packaging and presentation of the food and since I only get takeout and have a long drive home I don't find out until it's too late. Nothing really egregious, just frustrating.

Overall the restaurant offers good value for the money and 99% of the time quality food and service. I'll be visiting there again at some...
