Let me start by saying my family has been eating at this restaurant since it was called Jersey's, we've been loyal customers and I've NEVER complained about the food or sent anything back.
Me and some friends and family would always get together here every week to have wings on Wednesday. Well the quality of the wings has been going down hill, I don't know if they're getting them on the cheap now or what, but they're always deformed or broken, or just don't have very much meat on them, the sauce has been inconsistent too. So this time we went, my brother remarked how the wings had very little meat on them, and they were incredibly hot. We always order the regular buffalo because it's not hot and that's why we like them, they have flavor, not just numbing heat, plus my stomach really can't handle really hot food, so I physically could not eat them. And before you disregard this and say I shouldn't be eating them if I have an issue with really spicy food, read what I wrote again, their regular buffalo sauce is NOT hot, that is why we order them.
I ate 4 of them and for the first time EVER I politely told the waitress that the wings were wrong and I couldn't eat anymore and I apologized for causing any problems, she understood and was willing to fix it for me. Well, that's when Robbie the manager came over and started giving me a hard time over $3 freaking dollars worth of wings. She told me she couldn't remake them, then said "you guys eat here all the time, you know the buffalo is hot" at which point I stopped her and said "no, the sauce is wrong, this is much hotter than usual" to which my brother agreed and backed me up on.
We eat here every week and have done so for years, I know what the wings taste like and this sauce was wrong. I couldn't believe she was making such a big deal over such a minuscule amount of money, to someone who has spent a lot of money there and is a loyal customer no less. It really wasn't a huge deal to me, I thought they'd just remake them and everything would be fine, and again if they hadn't been too hot for me to eat I wouldn't have even complained even though they were wrong. But no she had to pick a fight with me over it. She seemed to be having a bad day and just took it out on us. I've never had a manager treat me like that over the very few times I've had to send food back, they've always just apologized and made it right.
So here's the best part, she went to the kitchen to check the sauce and came back, and her response was to make the wings naked and put the sauce on the side, which I did not want. Basically she was telling me I'm the one with a problem and I don't know what I'm talking about by giving me the exact same sauce and just putting it on the side.
This is the same woman that once (the only time she ever talked to us in all the time we've been eating there and she was working there btw) came to our table because they had new chefs and she wanted to make sure the sauce was right, we told her it was a little different but that it was still good. She insisted that we should have told her about it and said she'd have remade them for us, just because they tasted slightly different. But no, the one time there's an actual problem with them, and we do what she says, she gives us a bunch of attitude and basically tells us we don't know what we're talking about. Again, we have been eating here for years on a weekly basis and she's arguing with me over $3 worth of wings.
Suffice to say I don't appreciate being treated this way, I'm not someone that believes "the customer is always right" but for me to be a regular and approach it in a polite manner and be treated that way was ridiculous. And the way she "fixed" the problem was disrespectful and just felt like a big middle finger to me. You lost our family's business....
Read moreThe service was so unbelievably, ridiculously, poor . It was like a fairytale of calamaties . Imagine every thing that could go wrong , ordering takeout online, and walking over to the bricks and mortar place to discover; the order n3ver was placed although the app charged me, said to pick it up, then , upon arrival I am greeted with the question ; can i help you? Well , three people later, a frustrated kitchen manager takes my original order, for the fifth time . She repeats loudly" we never got any order online, no order at all. Okay I give it to her and I ask her where the drink was , I ordered twenty minute ago because I knew now I'd be waiting for the food. She had no idea . I mentioned it having been going on half an hour, and that the waitress had offered my drink , 9n the house because of all the trouble I'd encountered. Her superior? Told told her to offer it gratis , etc. Well, after she never showed up with it a second time, completely vanishing, and I found at that time , she had gone for the day, prompting ne to wander around the place to find the kitchen manager, again asking what about my drink. I have no idea she said. I'm in charge of food, only she tells me I'm sorry I say, and proceed to explain how id been ignored , offered a free drink and subsequently abandoned. She says, that its against the rules to dispense alcohol without any money being exchanged, as ifit were a misdemeanor , criminal offense , I calmly said I'd pay, but that sge oughtto inform the waitresses, so as not to be in violation of the law in the future. She made my drinks, and after another ten minutes or so I got the drinking wanted to sip on while waiting for the food order to be prepared, after three attempts to place it , failed then was placed, then arrived and got cold , when my waiting time drink arrived. I guzzled down my beer to chase the shot of whisky , and git myself out of there, as I left what considered a generous tIp, under the circumstances. I was patient , polite l , and sweet about it all , very . .mild and understanding the whole roller coaster ride through. I have too much self respect and dignity to make a big fuss in their place i.n front of their regular customers. I had eaten here before , three or four times, as I live very close by , and can walk over in five minutes. I didn't get upset about it until I got home, and recounted the tale to my wife when she asked me what the hell...
Read moreWe came in to watch the Super Bowl as it was one of the few places we could find where my 13 year old could also join us at a sports bar (stupid Utah alcohol laws).
We arrived pretty early (2:30) to ensure a table after calling to ask what the night would look like and within 30 minutes the place was packed. By 3:30 they were full for the game. We had a primo spot and all was good, except they kept letting folks in even tho they had put up a sign that said they were at capacity. Next thing we know, some stumbling, slightly incoherent old man comes up to our table and sits down with us. He mumbled something about joining us at our table. After a few awkward moments, he stumbles over to the packed bar and then a few minutes after that, back to our table. We kindly told him he could take the extra chair elsewhere if he wanted, but that we had gotten there hours ago to secure a table and he couldn’t join us. Eventually our dinner came out, he stumbled away, and the waitress came over to see if everything was okay. Why that man was even let in if the place was at capacity is beyond me and even more bizarre that he was allowed to stumble around bothering guests.
The food was affordable and what one would expect from a sports bar. The fryer definetly needed the oil changed tho. The tator tots tasted like old cooking oil. Drinks we good and also affordable. They even had non-alcoholic beer for the DD! It was super loud even before they were busy making it hard to hear the game commentary.
Service was great and for the most part, really on top of it.
Overall, it was a fine experience for what we were looking for, which was just a place to watch the game and nibble in some mediocre bar food and have a few drinks in a festive...
