We loved staying here! We were here Dec. 25-27, 2021. It was a very comfortable place to stay and convenient to the Riverwalk and downtown San Antonio. On the 26th we walked from the Inn all along the Riverwalk and through the historic districts including to El Mercado and Mi Tierra, The Alamo, the cathedral, Hugman's Oasis tiki bar, and more. On the 27th we ran along the Riverwalk in the opposite direction into several historic residential neighborhoods, about 3 miles. It was really pleasant. They gave us a late checkout so that we didn't have to rush our showers after running. The owners and their pup (an old corgi!) were very nice. The chickens outside our room were quiet. The breakfasts were good both days (freshly made to order) and they accommodated my dietary requirement that I didn't want onions in my eggs. I have no complaints and would gladly stay here again. Check-in/out was super easy, parking was very convenient too. The Inn is on a quiet dead-end street. The whirlpool tub in our room was GREAT and it was really nice to be able to sit on the porch just outside our door and drink coffee in the morning.

Hubby and I enjoyed our stay here. Every year for our anniversary, we like to stay at a local hotel and check out some of the events. We usually select a modern hotel, but we decided to try a bed and breakfast this year. Man, have we been missing out! It felt like home away from home. Peaceful and quiet - right next to the river. And the breakfast and service were top notch, and the chickens and bunnies were a sweet touch. Although staff are not on site after 3pm, they reached out to us via text periodically and made themselves available if we had concerns. The only thing I would add is to have coffee and tea available in the dining room until 3pm before the staff leaves. And maybe let guests know about the board games available to play there. We are thinking about making this our permanent anniversary spot. We loved it that much. Thanks, Roland, for taking great care of the property and for taking the time to say good morning to your customers. That's a sign of great leadership!

A quaint, turn of the century, throwback to simpler times, where chicken coops were nestled snuggly under wraparound porches, and fresh eggs were only a few steps away. Located 0.6 miles from the bustling epicenter of touristy riverwalk, you can start your day with a jog along a secluded section of the canal which is viewable from your private balcony. Sundries are only 0.3 miles away, thanks to the local H-E-B. Everything else is a ride share away, although Uber drivers did seem to have a difficult time finding the location. Breakfast is served daily between 8:30 and 9:30, but you'll notice the delightful scents visiting your room a bit earlier than that. Roland, the owner, is a charming host, regularly stopping by each guests table to share a chat. Don't forgo the daily shower because they have lots of hots water, and the pressure is impressive. So good

We stayed at the Inn on the Riverwalk for our anniversary weekend. The room was very nicely appointed and the mattress was very comfortable. There were only feather pillows and would have been nice to have two Polly filled pillows instead of just the four feather ones (my preference, anyway). The room had been refurbished after the current owners purchased the Inn a little while back. The location was PERFECT for us. Situated just steps off the Riverwalk, we walked to the downtown area for dinner along the San Antonio River and enjoyed romantic early morning and late night walks. The freshly prepared breakfasts were delish with coffee, tea, juices and fresh fruit available. Their version of French toast (and real maple syrup) topped with strawberries, accompanied with bacon and scrambled eggs were our favorite. They were willing to tend to any need we had and communication with the team was easy with texting. Check in was relaxed as we weren't able to do that until the next day and we checked out via text after we departed. We had some doubts about the state of the room when we arrived, seeing the worn buildings on the outside. We were very happy that the rooms were rehabbed. We chatted with owner, Roland, who said they chose to rehab the rooms first and will be working on the outside very shortly. So... don't be too quick to judge this book by its cover (as we did). I gave the Inn the 4 star rating for its appearance, but all 5 stars for everything else If you can look past it's skin, the Inn is a wonderful get-a-way, not far from the fun and busy-ness of downtown San Antone, but far enough for the peace and rest, if that's what you may be looking...

Upon arrival we were able to gain access to main house. Went to the room and the same code was not able to get us into room, had to call and get someone to come over and reprogram our code to our room. The next evening(late) when we arrived back to the Inn we were completely unable to access the main house. We called, called and messaged management and finally after nearly an hour sitting in the hot evening sun someone called and walked us through reprogramming our access to the Main house and our room. The rooms were not cool at all. Older house with air seeping thru the windows. The morning we were leaving I asked if I could get a cup of coffee to go, since we were not eating, and the lady who was supposedly cooking got a bit of an attitude. I walked over to the Kerug and it did not have water, I asked if they used bottle water or just regular water and again the lady got an attitude and went and got bottles of water and poured in there. The machine still did not work and after asking her again about the machine and getting ignored, though no one else was there but a gentlemen who I suppose knew the lady, saw she had a bit of an attitude, i gave up thru the Styrofoam cup and the Kerug pod in the trash and walked out! I guess its true...you get what you pay for!!!! Never again! I would NOT recommend this place at all... There was NEVER anyone at the desk or when you called you have to leave a message and hope they get back with you in a...
