Lahaina Beach House rewrote the book for cool beachfront fun, dining and drinks in the sun. A super casual atmosphere that is loud, funky and literally set in the sands of Pacific Beach; great food, a fantastic beach and boardwalk view from popular crowded deck (buff dudes and bikini clad maidens), and the super popular bar (inside and on the deck) draws long lines of customers; I mean long lines (see photos). You will find the wait worth it. One of PB's most popular restaurants for sure. The restaurant is on the Boardwalk (perhaps the most popular part of the Boardwalk). Lot's of parties, beach activity, milling crowds, shopping (nearby Promenade as well as some small concessions on the sand), and the great views. This all adds up to attracting the huge crowds (I have seen a line that looked like 50 people waiting to get in, but they are having fun in the line because the vibe is cool). Staff do not ever smile... go figure. --------- Other popular places that you may also like: PB Shore Club... Popular Bar/restaurant (2 blocks north) World Famous... Restaurant/Bar... (1 block south) Catamaran... Hotel/Restaurant/Bar... (3 blocks.. 2 south and 1 east) Garnet Ave... Many restaurants and bars... Check it out (4 blocks north) Have fun in Pacific Beach!

If you're looking for a crowded, noisy patio bar on the beach for amazing sunset views, this is it. For what it is, it's a pretty good one. Personally, I could have done without so much noise and crowding but I appreciate the fact that this is PB and it is that type of bar. From this perspective, it's a 4-star spot. They do have a full bar and the bar tender was great but the server told us she could only remember beer orders. I asked the kitchen for two of their best tacos and was told that would be the fish tacos. They were surprisingly good with a healthy piece of crisp fried fish on each. I was pleasantly surprised to find their salsa is actually hot. The food was ready pretty quickly despite the crowd, they call your name when your order is up. We were able to find a couple stools in a corner of the patio closest to the beach just before sunset even though it was packed. This is also a great location for people watching, as the beach path is just off the patio.

Came here for the first time on 8/10. Noticed it was busy right away. But no real wait in line to order. Which was great. Outdoor seating is hard to acquire. But it was a Saturday. Found nice seating inside with beach view. Music was a bit loud. But I get it. They have a bar. That's cool. But my issue is that the sign said breakfast from 9 to 12pm. I was ordering at 1154am, and i really wanted a chorizo breakfast burrito. I ordered, and the guy behind the counter said no. That it was after 12 and pointed at a clock on the wall that said 12:10pm. I said no, it was 1156am and showed him my phone. I think I heard the cook say "aw come on, it's just chorizo," and he said no. Really irritating, caz I wanted bfast. Ended up getting a cali carne Asada burrito. It was okay. Not bad at all, but they put too much sour creme, which overwhelmed the burrito. Chips and salsa were really good. $2 cup of soda was fair.

Absolutely done with this place. Wife and I come here almost every other Monday and enjoy the beach view and drinks. Have recently discovered though....how much the ownership and employees could give a crap about customer loyalty. Owner....manager..... and he spoke to me...cares more about his liquor license.

Cannot smoke a fake e-cig on the patio???? Bouncer said "nope" NOT ALLOWED. The reasoning....gofigure....."you can put drugs in those". Wife and I are over 50...responsible...and would not even know how to do that....however...Management and bouncers had absolutely no problem with cigarette smoke all around with children....wish I took a photo...there was a mom with a child no more than 1 year old and a table next to us from Sacramento smoking....hummmm no one in Management told them to put the ciggys out....WTF. This sooooo much reminds me of the IGNORANCE...seen in the 60's when someone said..."if you part your hair in the middle you must be a pot smoker"....or that "smokng pot leads to increased drug use." I don't do any drugs....and I am absolutely appalled by the ignorance that this establishment displays to its loyal customer base....Last thing the Manager / Owner said was for me to "take it up with Congress" holy crap....they haven't even ruled on it yet ya dumb twit!

Was once a great place that lives on its reputation...now....due to a profound ignorance they have truly arrived at the height of conceit where their philosophy is...."We would rather take your tourist dollars once than have to work hard at...

Stopped in for lunch on Christmas eve with my family

The good: experience at the bar was great. The bartender Jason was awesome! He made me this fun creamy green drink when I asked him to surprise me. He was welcoming and kind of funny. If it were not for him we would have walked out. My family was impressed with the level of service at the bar.

The bad: when we attempted to order food we were ignored for almost 5 minutes while the cook was talking with someone. We were not acknowledged at all. When the cook finally came to take our order he was pretty rude. He did not greet us just came up and asked "so, are you ready?" We ordered 2 BLT's, and a Cajun chicken sandwhich. We wanted to add an order of fries and rings but after our sandwhich order he just barked our total at us. The interaction felt kind of hostile so we just paid. He was like that with everyone. Then he walked away and did not even start making any order for about 5 minutes. We could see him and he wasn't doing anything but standing around. He finally gave us our food after waiting almost 25 minutes. Thankfully Jason kept us well entertained once we sat down with our food. Food was also beyond mediocre. Bacon was so cold I don't even think it was cooked, bread was soggy, and the chicken was almost hard. We did not eat the food. I would try here again if I didn't have to deal with...

A fun and super casual beach bar and grill. My mom and I popped in on a weeknight and the place was already pretty crowded, so we went inside and sat at the bar. We ordered our beers from a pretty gruff, not too friendly fellow and nearly decided to leave because of his crappy attitude. But suddenly, Tim came along.

Tim came to let us know a table outside on the "porch" had opened up and walked us right to it. He cleaned it up for us lickety split, chatted us up a bit and told us to feel free and go inside to order the food when we were ready. We walked up to their open kitchen and ordered a patty melt and a Cali burrito. Guess who was cooking? Our man, Tim. Tim does it all. With gusto and with skill. He was cooking, taking orders, and chatting people up like an absolute boss.

The food. Let me tell you about the food. My mom's patty melt was a beautiful, buttery golden brown with a hand pressed patty and lovely grilled red onions and melty cheese. Crispy, hot and and tasty fries on the side. The Cali burrito was as big as my head and was pretty perfect. It had tender carne asada, fries, I think some rice and a bunch of other yumminess. Warm tortilla chips and a nice chunky salsa accompanied the burrito.

We left Lahaina Beach House full, happy, and refreshed. Tim is a treasure and we're so happy...
