I wouldn’t recommend living here. Any new building is expected to have problems but I did not expect as many as I’ve faced after only living here 5 months, especially given the rent amount. The foundation seems like it was a bit of a rushed job which leads to issues like my balcony door not being able to lock. My door would swing open in the middle of the night during thunderstorms and even led to a visible crack in the drywall above the doorframe due to the resistance. The drain in the shower is also the poorest design I’ve ever seen. It’s led to so many issues around the complex that they sent us an email reminding us we’re expected to use a tool to remove the shower grade and unclog it as often as every two weeks………
Aside from this, things are very often broken around the complex without notice from the office (doors, amenities like the hot tub, package lockers, etc.). This is not inherently a problem, things break at apartment complexes, but there’s a severe lack of communication between the office and the residents. We really only receive notice of issues when enough people have complained that they feel obligated to send us an email. Another example of this was our recent water heating utilities charge. The cost of this utility jumped nearly 2,500% (yes, you read that right) and was not going to be resolved until enough people asked for justification. We were told the issue would be fixed by a certain time but alas, the time has come and gone without resolution.
As far as the common spaces go, the ones indoor (in addition to the pool) are often kept very clean and are nice. This is unfortunately not the same case for the outdoor premises. The surrounding area is COMMONLY covered in dog waste (not just around the mulch/plants — very very often on the sidewalks themselves). I think the complex would greatly benefit from at a minimum adding more trash cans. There’s only two on the entire outdoor campus. The trash chutes are also commonly locked/unusable.
In addition to other minor issues (stolen packages, the borderline flooding when it rains heavily, the stinky hallways) I just personally do not feel like the cost is justified for what you get out of living here. I did not expect to run into these many problems less than halfway...
Read moreJust moved to San Diego from Boston last month, and this apartment complex is a true gem among all the housing options that you'll find around here.
It's very conveniently located in the middle of everything. Whether it's IKEA, Best Buy, Target, restaurants, grocery stores, or even the airport - nothing is more than 10 min away.
Both the leasing and maintenance staff are amazingly helpful!!! Dina, on the leasing team, was very polite, patient, and helpful when my wife and I were looking through different units, and helped us find the perfect apartment. Similarly, other members of the leasing team, Natasha and Amber, are always happy to help with a smile. Equally important, the maintenance team, Edgar and Antrone, are friendly, quick, and efficient and resolved any issues we had right away.
The facilities are clean, look fairly new, and well-maintained. With a game room, pool, 24x7 gym, convenient mail room, etc. - it has everything you'd need. From a rent perspective, it's not cheap, but you get what you'd expect from a luxury apartment complex, if not more.
Parking is very easy to find in the garage and conveniently attached to the main building.
Lastly, I like the design of the building. It's a nice refreshing mix of blue and grey colors that set it apart from the mainly yellowish apartment complexes that I'd seen before I settled on this place.
I would highly highly...
Read moreSo after living here for 2 months and some change, I’m not too sure how I feel about it. I’m sort of indifferent. Dina was a huge help to us as well as the other lovely ladies who work here. It’s conveniently located to many stores, restaurants, downtown, and the freeway.
However, the amenities, building, and tenants are my main issues. The gym is small so I didn’t expect much, but it would’ve been nice to have adjustable cable machines instead of the cable machine they have now. The pool area isn’t huge, but it’s nice for what it is.
Dog poop is everywhere. In the hallways, the concrete, in the mulch outside … EVERYWHERE. The first floor stinks because it’s a high traffic area with dogs, but it just looks so dirty. Upstairs tenants do not care how loud they’re being. It’s California and I get weed is legal, but isn’t this a non-smoking building? The doors sometimes are hard to open and the 3rd floor door from the parking garage is broken and has been broken for a month and a half now.
I would love to see some improvements on cleanliness (especially with smell and the dog poop) and the amenities. I feel like this place has so much potential. Overall, it’s not horrible, but it’s not great. The rent price is crazy for what it...
