Newly opened location in Mission Valley!
Parking: We got lucky finding a spot but it can be difficult to find one. The lot is shared with Spill the Beans next door and the apartment right in front of it. Thereās some street parking spots, otherwise, thereās valet for $8 available. I hear the valet fee can be counted towards the bill? I would double check.
Ambiance: This place is huge and so pretty! Lots of outdoor seating available and a good amount of seating indoor. In the patio, there are benches that could seat 6-8 people, large U-shape couches around a few fire pits, and some tall and low tables that can seat 2-4. It looks like it could be good for larger parties! Thereās also bar seating indoor and outdoor. Outdoor seating is dog friendly!
Service: Our party of 3 put ourselves on the waitlist and we got seated within 20 minutes on a Saturday morning. Food and drinks came out pretty quickly. There were some times that we were trying to locate our server, but overall, we had a great experience with Spencer as our server. I know theyāre still trying to work out some kinks in this newly opened business but great service all around.
Food: -Brisket Hash ($19): sweet potato, served with sourdough bread, horseradish cream. At first they forgot to put the sourdough, but Spencer brought out some for us. Honestly I didnāt really taste the horseradish and I really liked this plate!
-Wild Mushroom Omelette ($15) served with simple saladā my SIL asked if the salad can be substituted but unfortunately not, though she enjoyed the omelette.
-Cinnamon Roll ($11): great to share as an appetizers. Drizzled with icing, served on a tiny cast iron.
-Deja Brew ($15): espresso martiniā this thing was strong!
Overall: So stoked for Gravity Heights to open here in Mission Valley. Itās still fairly new so theyāre still trying to work out some kinks. However, I will definitely be back to try out more...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWhen Iām in San Diego for business, this is one of my favorite hangouts! Gravity Heights. itās near the San Diego Mission Valley area. I love the hazy IPA and I love the Mexican lager. Letās not forget about the food. The tuna tostada is one of my favorites in the city.. I apologize for not getting a picture of it because I was so excited to eat it. I just completely forgot to. this time I tried the enchiladas that were on the menu. They were just OK. I thought theyād be better, but the sauce was really rich and heavy, and I was in more of a light appetite mood. My business associate had the spring roll shrimp salad with peanut dressing and chili crunch. She said that it was really good and then I talked myself into the cast-iron skillet deep dish, chocolate chip cookie with vanilla gelato, toffee, and chocolate sauce paired with that Mexican lager, it was to die for.
Service is always friendly, professional, and prompt. As you can see from the pictures, itās a trendy, fun lit atmosphere that has both indoor and outdoor seating. They also have happy hour and they host large events happy hours as well. I also noticed that it was very pet friendly.
My only complaint about this brewery is the parking it can be a tad challenging. Fortunate for me I always look for the beat up white Subaru that looks like itās been hit in the back by a freight train. It typically has parking around it.
If you can find parking, I highly recommend checking it out. The happy hour prices are great. The staff is super friendly atmosphere is delightful and the beer is better than all of that...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreStumbled into this place after meeting a friend for coffee. Have to say this was a big find for me. Good food, good service, clean establishment, private bathrooms, spacious outdoor patio, has a fire pit, heaters for every seat outdoors, and is dog friendly.
Only got the happy hour menu but based on what we ordered and the food I saw at the other tables menu was solid
Woodfired Pepperoni Pizza: I loved woodfired pizza and this one did not disappoint. Was only a little smaller than the pizza on the regular menu at half the price so I'd try to get this one every time.
Chicken Tacos with some kind of green crema: This was actually my friend's dish but based on her input this was a winner as well
Truffle Fries: Perfectly crisp, nicely salted, and good truffle flavor. The French Fry chef was on their game that day
Butterscotch Budino: This was my favorite. Butterscotch pudding, salted caramel, whipped cream, and I'm guessing a shortbread crumble. This may be the best Budino I've found in San Diego!!
I'd also like to point out that we stayed and chatted there for hours yet they kept our drinks refilled and never made us feel rushed to get out. Love that you can bring your dogs there and that they had heaters everywhere since we sat outside. Traits I love about a great dining experience. Very...
