The Hotel’s staff has shown extremely prejudiced behavior towards me. People have been using the common area to stow bikes days and nights at a time, yet when I start to use it, they change the rules so that, officially, no bikes are allowed to park there. Under this new rule, I was never allowed to use the common areas and they told me my bike would be confiscated if I did. However, the other bikes have continued to use the common areas freely, making it clear this rule was just a means of trying to obstruct me, having been sprung in response to my comparatively light use of common spaces. I cannot believe these staff are allowed to treat customers in such an obviously biased and really just hateful way. Why else would you seek to obstruct my use of the common areas in the same way as tenants do, especially when I specifically needed use of the area for my work?
Multiple other complaints about their truly undemocratic subterfuge activities and prejudiced attitude towards me have been sited elsewhere in the original review. I am very much Not Happy with the response from management, whose answer to my review distorted or outright neglected the truth in the following ways:
Staff lack respect for tenant privacy and management refuses to acknowledge related service issues. Was very specific about repeated offenses from the staff, but management completely ignored detailed report despite extensive correspondence. Management fails to address disruptive behavior of other tenants, even blaming said behavior on the person these noise disruptions had targeted. Lack of respect for basic standards of a peaceful living environment makes it difficult to work, get a good night's rest, etc. Common facilities a disaster -- either very dirty like the streets of San Francisco or obnoxiously saturated with chemicals so that it is difficult to breath. Squalor is readily visible as the building has rats... TWO RATS SPOTTED. Mattress initially provided was terribly dented and could cause back issues. Despite the many serious issues with the service, management refuses to acknowledge or atone for any mistakes The bias is made even more clear by the fact that they obviously had me in mind when they created the rule to prevent you from using the ample space in common areas to park your bike, which they don’t even enforce on other bikes. I am sure they would have tried to “confiscate” my bike if I had done the same. Cons: The staff was RUDE... Honestly if it wasn't for the staff I probably wouldn't mind it.. even if its somewhat dirty and old I wouldn't mind it... it was the staff that made me feel obligated to make a bad review... when I got there, there was a used band-aid on the wall.... The elevator was a bit sketchy.. you have to open and close th door by hand.... That is not why I am making this review though.. I had a 4 day stay and needed towels.. when I asked they seemed as if they didn't want to give me any... I waited over 30 minutes for towels and had somewhere to go. I ended up taking 6 towels off of the housekeepers cart because the front desk is not there all day/ over night. They leave around like 4... (Also when I took the stack of towels, there was a dirty USED glove in the mix of the towels!!!) I took a bus all the way to ocean beach.. and as soon as I got there they called me saying I was supposed to book out today... I told them I still had one more night! They told me on their end it does not show... So on my way back I ended up contacting Expedia on t bus and they told me on their end it shows I still have one more night.. when I got there they seen my face and said, "oh it's you! Your good! I remember you!" For some reason their computer glitched out..... Also.... When I went back up to my room ALL my towels were gone and they left me with NO TOWELS! I had to ask for more... When I asked for more they gave me attitude and did not want to give me any towels! They said it's because I took all of the towels off the cart. I only did that because it was impossible to get anything out of them and they're not...

I notified front desk I had serious concerns of my room being broken into (twice) while I was away and asked if this ever happens at this hotel to which they replied “not usually” which didn’t make me feel and better or safer. I asked for a refund on my last two nights so I could book another hotel and the owner said it was a no. I didn’t budget for this so unfortunately I had to stay here where I didn’t feel safe. To make things worse my last two nights were sleepless due to my neighbour (a live in resident who seems to have serious issues w addiction and mental illness) playing extremely loud music, intense screaming constantly, very loud banging around and throwing things in the room all night long. I informed front desk a couple times and they spoke to them and things only got worse the second night. I found a roach crawling in my bed and the fridge freezing everything I put inside even on the lowest setting… this entire stay was pretty...
