For the price we paid for the night, it wasn’t the worst thing in the world, we got the room so we could just have a place to sleep after being out for the night and so we could attend a boardwalk event early in the morning. I will say, the man behind the desk and that I spoke to on the phone was very nice, he made the interaction easy and was very kind. The room was not the best, the bathroom seemed to be the most clean part and I was happy with that, but there were cigarette holes in the chair and a large rip in it, the carpet by the heater was a bit dirty, we didn’t have any towels, but for the amount of time we were staying, we didn’t have time or need to shower, so I wasn’t upset about that all that much. The blanket on the bed was thin, so I recommend bringing some with you if you stay. It was perfect walking distance from where we were trying to get to for the weekend, so that was a plus. There are some undergarments left in the parking lot, so I would just say maybe have the staff or cleaners just prepare the place better. I would have preferred no chair in the room and no appliances over the damaged ones, it would have atleast made the place more appealing to the eye if they were taken out and replaced. Other than that, for the purpose of the hotel, it did what it needed to do. Wasn’t the worst, wasn’t the best, again the man at the office and on the phone was very kind and personable so that is a huge win in my book, however, the images online not living up to the expectations let me down, I’m not against spending money to stay somewhere, so I think I’ll be putting out some extra for a nicer place next time and maybe even an Air BNB, if the hotel cleaned it’s appearance some, I wouldn’t...
Read moreDO NOT go to these hotels. There are several located in Seaside. The guy behind the counter is useless. No idea where we could park because the parking lot was filled. (1 vehicle parking is included) cost $25 to park a few blocks away. Which we never used and couldnt get a refund for. Get to the rm and its the most disgusting room ive ever seen. Lock is broken and wires were exposed. Blood on the door like it was punched in several spots. Mold in the coffee pot and window sill. Cup rings on the counter like it was never wiped off. Dirty tub and toothpaste on the wall. Drove back to office and guy has young girls in there dancing. Explained what I seen and offered to show pics. He automatically said ok like it happened frequently and gave a receipt and told me to call the site i booked through for a refund. Never offered another rm or any apologies. Turns out it was the hotel responsible for refunding. Glad i hadnt left yet.. couldnt find another hotel on a sat night after 7pm and had to drive the 2 hours back home. The worst experience ive had in the 30+ yrs ive been going to Seaside. Please do yourself a favor and save a headache and dont bother. Given 1 star because no...
Read moreThis is by far the worst room I have ever had the displeasure of staying in. I’m currently sitting on the edge of the desk chair and trying not to touch the surface of ANYTHING. They didn’t even make an effort to pretend to have done a minimal cleaning job. They legitimately did not so much as take a paper towel to the sink in the bathroom. As a matter of fact, the closest thing to a wipe the sink got was the toilet paper roll they set on it instead of putting it on the holder where an empty roll was. The odor of this place is gnarly, previous occupants earring still in the bathroom, filth and stains all over the bedding, the build up of dust and funk on the entertainment center and night stands could be lifted off with a putty knife. Furthermore, there is an exterior door mat in the tub for a bath mat....I have no words for that. I’m considering sleeping on the boardwalk on a bench as it is definitely cleaner, even considering the seagull excrement on them. Does New Jersey not have inspectors for this...
