This is my all-time favorite place to stay!!! So many reasons to love this place!
•Absolutely beautifully decorated rooms, featuring unique artworks by local artists!! I seriously had to talk myself out of spending my entire vacation budget on wall art!! •A surprisingly large selection of absolutely amazing snacks and beverages! They even had my wife’s favorite beer: pub beer! Breakfast items such as yogurt, breads of several sorts, a collection of pastries were always available at any time!
•THE SPA!!! Oh my god, if you’re on the fence about booking the spa, take this review as a sign to ABSOLUTELY BOOK THAT!!!!! My wife and I escaped Portland during Valentine’s Day of 2025, but coincidentally, it ended up snowing biggly in Portland, causing us to stay another night, Oh no ;)! We reached out the the folks of starry night inn, and they offered us a night in another room. We jumped on it, and absolutely adored our other room as well! Amazing decor! Interesting yet comfortable furniture! Everything we needed! We couldn’t resist! We booked that spa ANOTHER night!! 2 spa nights in a row, yes pLEASE!!! We weren’t a big fan of the sauna (we both grew up on the gulf coast in Texas so the heat is NOT relaxing to us), but literally everything else was AMAZING. Those massage chairs are what really made my wife and I jump at the opportunity of yet another spa night. My wife has cerebral palsy, and experiences chronic pain throughout many parts of her body. However, 3 minutes in that massage chair in zero gravity had my wife so relaxed she was almost already asleep and drooling. Don’t even get me started on those bathtubs. Seriously the best experience I could’ve asked for. Legitimately the best Valentine’s Day of my life and it’s gonna be pretty difficult to top this one!! Good luck to Feb 2026 me!!
•The general complimentary services!! Along with the complimentary snacks and beverages, there is a PLETHORA of physical media to choose from. My wife is a BIG nerd for physical media, especially now with everything being so digital and the popularity of streaming services. What a fun thing to have. Our room had one of those giant water dispensers in it!! FREE WATER, WHAT?! I’ve never been in a hotel without first coming prepared with an entire pack of water!! I have POTS, so it’s very important that I stay hydrated. This seemingly small addition was literally SO thoughtful and meant SO much to me!! THANK YOU!!
•The collaboration with local artists and vendors!! In addition to the amazing art on the walls, both the spa and the main house have LOTS of choices of items from an array of local sellers! We bought some massage oil called “The Mend” that I’m now regretting only buying one of. My wife found a beautiful bracelet that we also had to get. There was also a rack of the most beautiful vintage clothing pieces! Very reasonably priced as well! I would’ve bought the whole rack if any of it was larger than a size S! I had to snap a couple pictures of the pieces in hopes to recreate a garment that is similar, as I sew as a hobby.
•The location!! My wife and I walked everywhere around the place!! It’s not too far from the beach or anything else for that matter! There’s a delicious bubble tea place not far at all!
Overall, Seaside is by far the best beach town we’ve been to! And, we are definitely beach bums! I cannot wait to return to the starry night inn in seaside. What a...
Read moreI really loved this place, we will definitely be coming back! We missed the owners during our stay since we were out of the house and then back early and late but during text and phone conversations they were lovely so I can't imagine it would be any different in person! We stayed in Room 1 with 3 adults. Now this review is coming from 3 chubby individuals so the experience with some of this will vary so in room one the twin bed is in a closet which is nice the bed is comfy, there is really no privacy which was fine for us, now the bed has no walk room so you have to climb over the bottom bar in order to get in so for those with bad bones or issues with crawling that is something to keep in mind, also I am short so you may not have to do as much climbing into bed as I did, room 2 also has another bed and the beds are in one room so no crawling if that would bother you, so there is options. Now the reason it got 4 stars, and before so I will say if it was just me and my friend and her boyfriend wasn't there it would of gotten 5 stats but since I had his point of view from his size, who's bigger and taller than us I thought I would cover that as well. The bathroom was nice, the door was a little odd how you locked but only the first time using it the shower is where the issues came in, for my self and my friend both of us on the short side and chubby we didn't have any problems, it is a small stand up shower and they smartly put a curtain on instead of the stupid doors so you have room. Now for a tall and chubbier individual you will not have room, I heard a few cus words come out of the shower while he was in there so that is just something to keep in mind, it still got the job done but it might not be the most pleasant experience for you. That being said I would recommend the place, they give you free food downstairs, movies to rent, the living room area was comfy and the atmosphere was lovely down there and we had permission to use the kitchen for those with a pickier diet or just want to cook for yourselves. The website is also very nice to navigate both on phone and computer so that was a big...
Read moreMy friends and I had a girl’s weekend in Seaside last month. We rented out the entire Starry Night Inn and we couldn’t have been more pleased. There are three rooms in the beautiful, art filled house and three cabins, which was the perfect size for our group. I stayed in a cabin and loved it. We punched in a code to enter, so we never had to worry about having a key. I loved that. The room had everything I needed with a nicely stocked kitchenette. Besides having a small fridge, microwave, coffee pot (and nice coffee!) there were all the small practical things we needed (cocktail shaker!). The room was beautifully decorated with fireplace, record player, and original artwork from Oregon artists. I most loved the house made beauty products. Besides being making me feel at home, it was nice knowing I didn’t have to deal with weird chemicals. I loved the shampoo. My hair smelled amazing and felt great.
Our group had so much fun in the common living areas of the house. There is a full kitchen with everything one could possibly need (they even had a dedicated GF toaster!) and a lovely dining room with self-serve coffee and oatmeal. The location is really great and with everything we needed was just a few blocks away. After being on the beach and touring the sights, we made a communal dinner and sang karaoke all night long. The living room is a musician’s playground with a variety of instruments and microphones available to play. The furniture is elegant, yet cozy and we felt right at home.
Our host and co-owner of the Starry Night Inn was fabulous. So friendly and helpful. She was quick to suggest the nearest coffee shop, where to get the best margaritas in town (Las Olas – go there!), and answered all of our questions with sincere kindness. The artwork throughout was definitely a highlight for me and I even bought a piece to take home as a souvenir of an incredible weekend. I can’t recommend the Starry Night Inn high enough. I will...
