We stayed in one of the smaller suites facing the courtyard, as there were only two of us. There is a large bed, bedside tables, a desk, a closet with hanging space, which also contains a small fridge and microwave. The bathroom is large with a lovely walk in shower. There are plenty of towels and nice toiletries. There is a coffee machine and coffee is provided. There are also paper plates, cups and plastic cutlery. The AC is very effective and there are plenty of sockets. Entry is by a key code, which is very long, but you can change it to an easier number. The star of this accommodation is the courtyard, with lovely seating, water feature, gas fire pit and a barbecue. This space also has an ice machine. We ate in this space every evening and enjoyed it. We heard that the suites at the front are not as nice, dark and next to the road. Our only comments on the room are that there is no drawer space for clothes and limited bathroom space for items. The fridge door catches on the sliding doors of the closet, but this can be fixed by pushing the fridge back. The bed could do with replacing, it is very soft, but the bedding is clean. The walls are very thin, so you can hear other guests. Main Street is just round the corner and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. We enjoyed our stay here and would recommend it as a low...
Read moreBEWARE: if you use their towels, they will overcharge you at the end of the stay for any stain they find on them. And you will say: well, if you are hiking all day and then you wash your face or take a shower, after 4 days reusing the same towels, at some point they will look dirty, won't they? Yes. It happens with towels when you reuse them a few times, it happens when you spend all day hiking around red rocks and the dust adheres to your skin. However, this property will charge you for that. My wife and I, who we believe are very clean, got charged $60 for this reason, but you might end up being charged even more if they want. You might think it's a good deal to stay here because the price point is attractive, but it is not since they will overcharge you for every particle of red dust they find. We did not use the towels for any other purpose than what towels are supposed to be used for. But they allege we did, and they even emailed us one picture with a very dirty towel which obviously was not ours at all. Hard to believe and extremely frustrating. This never ever happened to us before and we are well traveled professionals. We will never book this hotel again when we...
Read moreWas very disappointed! Made reservations back in May because we had guests coming from Europe. The day before we were to stay there I received a text that my credit card did not work for final payment and that I needed to pay the day before I arrived to get a code to the room. I had paid the deposit in May. We were on the road for our trip and just completed a 7 mile hike and I did not have my paperwork in front of me for prices but was under the impression there was an adjustment made because I agreed to change rooms for someone who needed the ADA room. The call was very confusing and as I tried to get the details Mr Meier became frustrated with my questions. He decided it was better that the reservations be cancelled just like that.
As it turned out the card I used in May had been reissued because another bank had acquired it and that is why the number was different. We ended up going to another hotel which was the same price and very nice but the last minute change was stressful and unecessary. I would not recommend this place when there are so many...
