So, I’ll preemptively mention that I understand covid restrictions and I empathize with small businesses that are affected by legislation restricting the number of people allowed into establishments. With that being said, there is definitely a right and wrong way to handle situations that come up. My wife and I visited today and didn’t stay long. When we arrived it was standing room only. One couple came in behind us for standing only as well. The couple behind them was turned away due to the total number of people in the bar being at maximum. We began our tasting and a very nice woman that was sitting ALONE at her table walked over and offered her table to us. She was being soo nice!!! My wife and I took her up on her offer and sat at her table. She took our place standing at the bar. When the waitress saw this, she told us that only a party of three was allowed at that table.... the same table that only had one woman sitting at it moments prior. To the owner, I know you read the comments left here. I know that you regularly review camera footage of those complaining. I can promise you that my wife and I were not being ugly. Your employee could have handled the situation soo much better. She did comp our first tasting which was great but gosh, you’re already at max capacity, what is stopping you guys from allowing us to stay at a table that only had one patron!?!? To anyone reading this review, save yourself the headache and go to The Art of Wine.... great wine and...
Read moreFor my first time visiting Sedona, I did not know what to expect from Arizona wines, let alone Winery 1912, but was excited to try the Spanish varietals after reading about them on their website. My boyfriend and I had a busy schedule and almost did not find time to visit, but for some reason I was very adamant about finding the time to visit Winery 1912. I am so glad I did. Our server listened to our taste preferences and guided us expertly to the perfect tasting choices. We tried a mix of whites and reds and I enjoyed all of them, which is a rarity for me. The server's style and description of each wine made the experience so much fun, she has made a lasting impression on my mind. Ferdinand ended up being my all-time favorite wine I have ever had and I purchased a bottle to go. I wish I had purchased more as I live in Virginia and Virginia is not a place where they are allowed to ship their wines. However, I have friends in every neighboring state that does and I will find a way. The wine is that amazing. I want to come back to Sedona just to go back to Winery 1912 and ensure I allocate more time to relax, enjoy the wine and small plate food, listen to the fun descriptions again and enjoy the beautiful Sedona view. Well done...
Read moreOctober 5th around 430pm. After driving 2 hours north, we wanted to do some wine tasting for my mother's birthday. 4 adults and a small lap child. We asked for a table were told the wait would be 15 minutes. 40 minutes go buy and a group of 4 was seated outside, which we didn't mind because we asked to be inside. Once a table large enough opened inside, it was left empty for a while before anyone attended to it. The group of 4 that was outside apparently asked the server if they could move inside to the open table and right away they moved inside. When the employees rushed to clean the table I asked why we were not given that table when we have been waiting for almost 45 minutes now. The party that moved inside did not realize they came in after us and generously offered us the inside table even though they were already seated. The server said no and responded saying they were waiting for the party of 2 that was sitting at a different table also with 4 seats. Unfortunately I have to point out the fact that we are black, but at that moment we felt discriminated against and we...
