Location: This resort boasts a truly unbeatable location for those eager to explore Sedona's famed hiking trails. We were able to reach trailheads for iconic spots like Devil's Bridge and Cathedral Rock in no time, allowing us to maximize our hiking time each day. The resort is also conveniently located within easy walking distance of a vibrant array of restaurants, shops, and other attractions.||||Grounds: The resort grounds are well-maintained and offer a pleasant atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We particularly enjoyed the inviting outdoor firepits, which were lit each evening, creating a cozy ambiance. A thoughtful touch was the provision of flashlights in every room, perfect for navigating the area after dark. While the resort does have a pool, we didn't get a chance to use it during our late October visit due to the cooler temperatures. They also offer wellness classes, which, unfortunately, we didn't have time to experience.||||Room: We stayed in a king room in the "phase two" section of the resort. While the room itself was comfortable, there were a few drawbacks. The room was on the smaller side, and the lighting configuration was a bit unusual. Upon entering, the main switches only activated a fanlight over the bed and a light above the door, requiring us to manually turn on bedside lamps for proper illumination. On the plus side, the bed was exceptionally comfortable with top-quality pillows that provided excellent support.||||However, we did encounter some issues. The flashlight that should have been under the sink was missing. Additionally, the blackout blind for the patio door detached from its velcro and slid down, rendering it unusable. When we reported this to the front desk, the response was a rather casual "Yeah, that happens all the time," and unfortunately, it remained unfixed upon our return from hiking that day.||||It's also worth noting that the "phase two" section requires guests to either call for a golf cart shuttle or navigate uphill/stairs to reach the main resort area and the shopping district. A more convenient access point between this section and the main resort would be a welcome improvement.||||Shopping: Shopaholics rejoice! The resort area and surrounding streets are a treasure trove of unique shops and boutiques. We highly recommend a visit to The Art of Wine, located right next to the resort, for a delightful wine-tasting experience. From charming curio shops to diverse dining options, there's something to pique every interest.||||Overall: Despite a few hiccups with our room, we enjoyed our stay at this Hyatt Resort. Its prime location, coupled with the friendly staff and inviting atmosphere, make it a solid choice for those looking to explore the wonders of Sedona. However, the resort could benefit from addressing the maintenance issues in the "phase two" rooms and perhaps consider improving accessibility between this section and the main...

Your Home Away from Home: Hyatt Vacation Club At Piñon Pointe

Location: 1 N AZ, 89-ALT, Sedona

Nestled amidst the breathtaking beauty of Sedona, the Hyatt Vacation Club At Piñon Pointe offers a serene retreat that combines the comforts of home with the allure of a luxury getaway. Here's what makes this resort a standout choice for your next vacation:

The Good:

Impeccable Facilities: From the moment you arrive, you'll be impressed by the meticulous upkeep of the resort's exterior and interior spaces. The condominium-style accommodations boast all the amenities you could possibly need, including a fully-equipped kitchen, spacious living areas with cozy fireplaces, and luxurious bathrooms with jetted tubs.

Tranquil Outdoor Spaces: Step outside onto your private patio and immerse yourself in the tranquility of your surroundings. The thoughtful placement of trees and bushes ensures privacy as you relax and unwind amidst nature's beauty.

Resort Amenities: Whether you're in the mood for a refreshing swim in the heated pool, a rejuvenating soak in one of the outdoor Jacuzzis, or a workout in the fitness room, the resort has you covered. Don't forget to indulge in some well-deserved relaxation in the steam room after a day of exploration.

Prime Location: Situated in the heart of Sedona, the resort offers easy access to the area's top attractions, including stunning hiking trails, vibrant art galleries, and charming shops and restaurants. Despite its central location, the resort maintains a peaceful ambiance that allows you to escape the hustle and bustle of the touristy areas.

The Not-So-Good:

Timeshare Sales Pressure: While the resort itself is a haven of tranquility, guests should be aware of the persistent timeshare sales tactics employed by the staff. The constant calls and invitations to attend sales seminars can be off-putting and detract from the overall guest experience. Management should take steps to address this issue and ensure that guests are not subjected to undue pressure during their stay.

Despite this drawback, the Hyatt Vacation Club At Piñon Pointe remains a top choice for travelers seeking a luxurious and comfortable retreat in the heart of Sedona. With its impeccable facilities, tranquil ambiance, and prime location, it's the perfect home away from home for your...

We stayed at the Hyatt Pinon Pointe in Sedona for our 30th wedding anniversary. We have been fortunate to travel in several continents over the past 30 years but due to COVID-19 we were not able to travel too far for this anniversary. When we booked a one bedroom suite we mentioned the occasion. After we arrived, we were checked into a room on the bottom floor where the view was somewhat impeded. It also required carrying bags down an outside staircase. After dark, the dimly lit covered staircase was devoid of even moon or starlight making it extremely difficult to see. The Hyatt, due to COVID, was not operating at full capacity; additionally summer is their low season in Sedona. Our suite assigned was also far from the pool which was open on a first come first serve basis to a maximum of 40 guests. This was understandable due to COVID. The staff were friendly and the suite itself, though slightly rustic, was nice. The king size bed however was so soft that after trying to find a sleeping position in which our hips were not sinking below our knees and shoulders, I finally called the front desk around 2:30 AM. I should add, we are not heavy people (5’9 125 lbs and 6’6’ 195 lbs). The security guard answering the call was pleasant and offered options: moving rooms, getting a new mattress, or trying the pull-out sofa in the living area. We opted for the sofa which was comfortable. Because of COVID, there was no housekeeping so to enjoy the suite we had booked, we had to make up the sofa bed each morning. We enquired about the bed at the front desk the next morning and were told that all the beds are exactly alike. The clerk suggested that “engineering” could take a look at the bed. Nothing happened. There was no follow-up. Nothing! After traveling and living in dozens of countries and sleeping on everything from dirt floors, to bunk beds, to air mattresses, to sofa beds, I am very disappointed that the Hyatt could not do better. We have stayed in 1 stars and we have stayed in 5 stars. We have always been able to sleep. Our experience at the Hyatt in Sedona leaves us with a bad association with...
