based on reviews i was expecting slightly more than i guess i should have. now i dont know if this barista was new or not (i visited oct 15, 2015 around 11:30 am to 12 pm if that gives any indication to the owner about who it was). but everything about my visit was not good. now if your the owner and you are reading this post i hope you take this as constructive criticism. the service was prompt but lacked any care what so ever. barely any acknowledgement aside from "you want that iced or hot".but thats understandable cause i know how being a barista can suck all the life out of you. but my biggest problem was the coffee. it was probably some of the worst coffee ive tasted in a long time (worse than starbucks and thats saying something). i ordered a basic hot mocha. which should have been simple and easy for any trained barista to make. the coffee was obviously extracted wrong because from what i could taste of the coffee (she drowned it in chocolate... seriously way to much chocolate..... and i like extra chocolate!) it tasted like an ashtray. and the milk was so over-foamed it was overflowing from the pitcher. now i know i usually have high standards of coffee and thats my problem. but even if i lower my standards down to "starbucks" level i feel that you should know the difference between a latte and cappuccino (or mocha and mocha-cappuccino in my case). needless to say i didnt leave a tip. im not trying to just bash on this place. i will likely try it again another day cause maybe she was just new. but this experience was just awful. im hoping the owner will read this and train this barista to where she knows at least a couple of the coffee...

I went the Theia’s 3 out 4 days during my visit to Sedona. The first 2 visits were great, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Just got a medium roast coffee and it was good quality and tasty. So I was definitely pleased and would have given Theia’s 5 stars. Sadly on my last visit, my experience was not so positive. I asked for a small americano with room for cream. After pouring the espresso into the cup, the barista filled the cup to the brim with hot water then dumped some out to make space for cream. When she handed me the coffee she didn’t make eye contact, she knew she messed up. I tried to drink it, but the coffee was so watery. So I went back and told her I was dissatisfied and asked if she could either add a shot or make a new drink. I was not rude in anyway, I just asked for it to be corrected. She made another shot and I could tell when she was pouring it into my drink that it was way too watery. I suspect she loaded enough coffee for one shot but hit the two shot button. Once again she didn’t make eye contact when she handed it over and never apologized. The americano tasted like weak coffee, ugh.

I know this may sound picky to others, but I feel if a customer lets you know they are dissatisfied, you owe it to them to pay a little more attention and make the...

i was treated in a way in this coffee house that: The Bible says one should not repay evil with evil for. therefore, i have taken down my original words and are replacing them with these. HOWEVER, do unto others as you would have done to you, CUPTOWN. You folks dont truly seem to grasp, however, how to be kind and caring and conscientious. in SEDONA of all places! yeah, you know what? that ABOUT makes sense!!!!

I see that the owner has responded here. Let me take this opportunity now to say, whenever i have come in: i have TIPPED GENEROUSLY. AT TIMES, MORE THAN THE COST OF A CUP OF COFFEE. And yet still, the last time i was in there, i was refused entrance to the rest room.

Shortly after this exchange, I ran into someone who works at the brewery down your street. This person said: they BIKE OUT OF THEIR WAY to purchase coffee elsewhere. They said this in response to my story cited above.

If you are out there, employee of Sedona Beer Co, PLEASE SHARE YOUR STORY. Your description was HILARIOUS.

ARE YOU HAPPY YOU REPLIED TO THIS REVIEW NOW, CUPTOWN! If you wish to be cared for in a Christian manner, this is NOT the place for you, no matter how much they wish to portray...

Arrived in Sedona and wanted a quick pick me up. I quickly googled "coffee" and Theia's popped up. There's plenty of parking space, about 7 spots. It's a decent distance from the main crowded area, so it's really not that crowded here. I ordered a small blended dark chocolate mocha; It was really tasty! loved the whipped cream. Also grabbed a few one-day old treats. I love banana muffins. I think it's worth to mention that the owner is very friendly! She mentioned taking the scenic route, one of the top ten scenic drives in the USA, back to the campsite. So glad she did, she was spot on.

Cuptown Coffee in Sedona is an absolute gem! The moment I walked in, I was captivated by the artistic vibe—beautiful paintings everywhere, creating a cozy yet inspiring atmosphere. The duality of their coffee is incredible—whether you crave a bold, rich brew or a smooth, velvety latte, they nail it every time. The ambiance is pure relaxation, perfect for unwinding or sparking creativity. Friendly baristas, amazing coffee, and a space that feels like a hidden art gallery—what more could you ask for? If you’re in Sedona, this place is a must-visit!

One of my favorite coffee stops in the Rocky Mountain region, and certainly in northern Arizona. The espresso is superb and, if you're into innovative lattes, I highly recommend the Brown Sugar Cinnamon version with a proper 5 shots šŸ˜Ž. Nab an apple fritter before you settle in to any one of the multitudinous comfy chairs and make yourself at home. This ain't no tourist trap. Just a holistic environment for coffee, tea, and smoothie enthusiasts seeking respite from the world. May you find your way there, someday.
