It was our first time to experience a Delta hotel, although we frequent Marriott hotels. We were quite impressed at the friendliness of everyone (well, except for one Housekeeping lady that didn't smile and was grumpy in giving us a lotion!) Our pleasant experience began as soon as we walked inside, the Front Desk staff greeted us right away, as opposed to waiting for us to say something first! We were still a few feet away from the Desk but we felt very much welcomed already because of the warmth emanating from the Front Desk people!
The Dining staff also got our thumbs-up in each of the three days we went in for breakfast! Very friendly people, and not just because they smiled and were accommodating! No, they really talked to you and told you stories and also listened to our stories; but not over-imposing that we could not be private anymore just to enjoy our foods!! Speaking of food, our dishes were huge!! And delicious! But the huge portions really took us aback, we were used to hotel portions, especially free/complimentary sit-down/menu breakfast portions, almost not quite enough!
Friendliness was really the take-away thing from our stay at your property. We hope that that does not change ever! Keep impressing your guests each time. The Delta experience we had at your hotel was so much above par than even the 5- or 6-star Marriott hotels, including the Marriott brand itself and Renaissance! The Delta people were just really warm, truly smiling, not just greeting you with a Hi and a forced smile because they were told to do so!!
One other thing worth mentioning was this -- Even if both Front Desk people were on the phone, as soon as they realized that I or some guest was approaching and obviously needing something from Front Desk, they put their phone calls on hold -- both of them -- to greet us and ACKNOWLEDGE US, rather than leave us standing there wondering how long we'd have to wait to get any of the Front Desk staff members' attention!!
The suite was also above par! We were impressed with how there was an almost full kitchen (absent the cooking feature), and how the walls were NOT paper-thin at all! And oh, the shower was heavenly! At most hotels, the water volume remains one to be desired! But this one at Delta-Burlington was not only sophisticated-looking but the water pressure was phenomenal!!! Even the mini-toiletries caught our attention because they weren't just for aesthetic purposes, like in many hotels. These ones at...

Delta hotels didn't know what was happening with us but the staff still made the day a little bit better, which makes all the difference. In hospitality its these small gestures of empathy that are so critical in turning around opportunities you don't even know you had.
So when we first arrived there was a fire alarm. I saw what caused it and I give them all the kudos we weren't the only ones having a bad day (๐). (I've worked in hotels for almost 20 years so I 100% get it)
I decided to make the best of it and took my toddler to see the fire truck because he loves them and their chief engineer interacted with us a few times very kindly. We went upstairs and saw the elite room, I wasn't sure of our status checked my key and it didn't work. I told my son โwe aren't cool enoughโ and he came up and said yes you are! And let us in. My toddler loved the room and we had a great conversation talking shop.
This small gesture made a huge difference In a very bad day that no one there knew they just showed what true hospitality was.
Every staff member I encountered was friendly and kind. The front desk staff was as sweet as can be with all of my pop up questions, including making me feel better about a perceived experience with another guest. (I wish I had caught her name but she worked the next morning as well. This was about 2-3pm on Sunday 1/13/2025 and 8-9:30 am on 1/4/2025 if that helps). I do want to recognize her as well!
In the morning a huge challenge we had been dealing with (how to get to the airport as a result of budgetโs egregious customer service) was solved instantly by finding out they have a shuttle. They also had cookies in the lobby which my toddler loved and helped motivate him to get to the lobby when our arms were full of bags.
Small feedbacks: maybe make a more kid friendly mac and cheese. I thought it was awesome but topping it with chives and it not being the classic color threw off my little one so he didn't eat it.
At one point the streaming on the in room tv kept failing, and all the tv ports for us to plug into were.. Chewed up so maybe check TVs a bit. A hard reset on the hotels device did fix it.
Ps loved the gym it was perfect for what I needed...
