I have been searching for a replacement for the Airport deli since they shut down, and suffice to say, the Bagel Place is not that replacement. I will never eat here again, even under duress. I went here this morning and was subjected to the most singularly vile excuse for a breakfast sandwich I've ever eaten in my entire life. It was a concoction of more mayonnaise than any other ingredient, and I had to spend more than a dozen napkins trying to wipe off the sea of mayo, and even then, every bite would have streams of it squish out of the sides. It is not hyperbole to say that when I went to unwrap it, the parchment paper disintegrated because it was soaked so thoroughly through, and I had to pick flakes of parchment paper off of the soaked remains of the bagel. I cannot imagine what madness needs to take hold of a person's mind for them to think that it's acceptable to have mayonnaise be the primary ingredient in a sandwich , but it was utterly disgusting, a waste of money, time, effort, and ingredients. I would have been better off just going to a shitty chain like Dunkin Donuts or McDonalds, or even a...
Read moreThe shop is located right across from the hotel I was staying at, which made it super convenient. I stopped by for lunch on April 15th around 1 p.m. The place smelled great, was clean, and had plenty of bagel and topping options to choose from.
I went with a classic BLT on an everything bagel. Prices were reasonable — not super cheap, but definitely fair for the quality. The two girls working were friendly and welcoming, and service was quick.
That said… as I was leaving, half my bagel flew to the ground (don’t ask me how, I’m still not sure). I was honestly mortified, but one of the employees immediately started cleaning it up while the other began making a fresh one without hesitation. I really appreciated how they handled the situation — quick, professional, and helpful!
Despite the little mishap, it was a great stop with a delicious bagel, great service, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a chill place to grab a good breakfast or lunch. Thanks again from your Canadian neighbor — and sorry about the...
Read moreWe have historically loved this place. We would always get a bacon, egg and cheese on an everything bagel; however, the last 4 times we have been these bagels have been very disappointing. They are not fully cooked and are too doughy. It’s sad but we have now realized we rather get bagels from the grocery store and make our own. Also, the bacon is less thick now which is never a good thing.
UPDATE: The owner reached out to me directly so that they could improve. It was a great gesture. We went back and the food was so much better! We really enjoyed it and will definitely be back. The take out vs line process on the weekend was new to us but now that we know how that works and that your order can take a little longer we know what to expect. Would definitely recommend...
