Escape 60 was fantastic!
We had a late flight out of town on Saturday and other plans fell through so we called on Friday night to see if we could get slotted in on Saturday morning. Phillip returned our call Saturday morning. We were waiting outside before they opened and the Game Master, Campbell was the best! He quickly set the room up for us so that we could take the first timeslot of the day (luckily was not reserved - you should make reservations if you can).
Campbell was so nice and knowledgeable, and The Tomb was a fantastic room! We have done many, many escape rooms, even several with an Egyptian/Mummy theme, but this one was head and shoulders above the rest. The puzzles were challenging but intuitive and the pacing and sequencing was great. This is what makes an escape room good: knowing what you need to figure out next, even if you're not yet sure how to do it.
Additionally, there were several technical puzzles, features and devices we have never seen before, including some very unique locks and one or two things that we can't even describe to prevent from ruining the surprise (even the sand speaks in the mysterious Tomb!). The two of us made it out with 6+ minutes to spare, and only regretted that we didn't have the fam with us to get us out sooner.
Next time we are in Northern Vermont, we will return for the other rooms here and at their Williston location. Thank you, Campbell...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe year is 2025. My sister, my cousin and I are looking for a fun and spooky evening. We stumble upon the website for Escape Room 60 (blue mall), read the description for the Green Mountain Ghost Hunt room, and almost instantly book our session. We were intrigued by the description of āDisneyās Haunted Mansionā vibes, and were pleased to discover it was adequately spooky. Picture that one episode of The Backyardigans where they are in a mansion and Tyrone is wearing a scarf. It was also giving Escape the Night season 3. Despite our previous experience of almost soiling our pants at another horror themed escape room at a different local location, we felt this room had the perfect combination of fun and challenging sequential puzzles with a only slight looming threat of our bladders being emptied due to jumpscare. This made the experience even better, as the spooky vibe was not just produced through constant scares or very loud creepy noises. We are especially excited about the replay-ability of this room, and will certainly be returning someday to finish. Shoutout to our game master Osiah, the humorous interaction was very appreciated, especially when we were too scared to get close to the objects. Overall, this was a very exciting and memorable experience, our only complaint was the one puzzle involving scents (everything still smells...
