Upper Deck Pub at the Windjammer — Restaurant in South Burlington

Horrible service, we got there at 730 and ordered our food. The appetizer did come out in about 20 minutes, was a good appetizer but spinach dip doesn’t take that long. After finishing that appetizer (finished before 8) we waiting till 820 to get the main cores, the main cores was seafood platter and streak, both don’t take the long to cook. We where going to just eat our food and pay and leave but the steak was cooked wrong, we ordered well done, no red at all is what we asked for and it was medium rare, Cary red and bloody. At this point we looked around for our server to get this corrected and she was gone. We waited 5 more minutes and got sick of it and got up to go to the hostess, at that point our waiter runs out form the back and asked what we are doing. I used to really like this place, but I have to say that I was very disappointed with the overall experience last night. The awesome salad bar is gone. The meals here are a bit pricey. The inclusion of the salad bar made used to make the prices reasonable, but now that the salad bar is gone, the value aspect is gone. We ordered a couple of cocktails, which really made us wonder what the bartender was thinking? The food was decent, and I will say that the crab cake was good, but service was slow as we were there for about a couple of hours. I know COVID has wrecked havoc on the restaurant industry, so maybe that partially to blame for this, but for now there was way better places to spend 130 bucks on dinner. I travel for work up in Burlington area on a regular basis and this has some of the best food in the area and has always been my "go to" place. Tonight I was in the area again for work and stopped in for dinner. I sat myself down at a table at 5:45pm. 6:31pm came and still not one person waited on me. Didn't ask me if I wanted a drink, appetizer or food.... over 45 minutes of just sitting there. I've been going there for close to 12 years of me traveling in this area for work. It's now scratched from my list of places I enjoy to go to unfortunately. Maybe the service staff should be retrained? I don't know but I feel this was unacceptable, especially seeing as to how it was NOT busy at all. There were many empty tables.
