My parents, sister and I booked 2 rooms (205 & 207) for a week in July for a family vacation. The first iron I used was broken so the front desk staff replaced it with a rusted iron. The iron immediately ruined the dress I was intending to wear that evening. They sent it to a dry cleaner upon my request. It took 3 days and came back exactly the same. I asked for a credit and Debra, the manager at the time credited me "the most expensive night of my stay", along with additional charges for that one day. When I was checking out, they gave me a bill with the credited night. After I paid with my credit card, I realized that I had booked the stay through Chase Rewards, and they had just double charged me. They understood their mistake, and refunded the charge. That left me with no credit for the night they had just offered me. I contacted the new manager, Rohan St. Marthe and he offered me one night which had to be taken in the next three months with blackout dates. This was not acceptable, as who takes a once a year family vacation to the same place 3 months later? I asked to get the credit for one year. Instead, he told me that since they refunded me the charge they INCORRECTLY billed me, he was retracting the offer and I would get nothing. Clearly he didn't care to understand the situation. This was their error. I asked in 3 separate emails for a name and phone number to call someone from corporate, and 3 times Mr. St. Marthe ignored my request. In addition, he assured me that Debra, the manager at the time of my stay, would call me. That never happened. I have never been so appalled by a hotel's customer service and will of course,...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThese hotel was a huge disappointment especially for the price. It is not warm and welcoming and the front desk staff upon check in was rude and dismissive saying I had cancelled my reservation. Of course I didn't why would I be standing in front of you if I had cancelled my reservation. Obviously, I should have taken it as a sign to cancel it and find another place to stay because we were massively dissipated. I regret spending a penny here. |Housekeeping refused to clean the rooms saying they were short staffed... while they were standing in the hallway not cleaning any of the rooms. We asked for more pillow cases and towels and they quickly brought those up but we had to put them on ourselves. You would think for $300 + a night someone could make the bed and refresh the lines.. NOPE apparently not. I have travelled all over this country and stayed in hundreds of hotels and this was by far worth not even half this price. It was dark and dingy feeling. I discibe it being like a Holiday Inn that someone painted grey and decided to rename it so it sounded fancy. WRONG. I was looking the next morning for another room to stay in the area. |DO NOT stay hear if you want value for you money, the area is not the best if you are looking for culture or walking to downtown. |I only stayed here because there was a room block for my event I was performing at. I also told the planner to never use this hotel again for a room block or wedding guests. I would be embarrassed to have my guests stay here. |The coffee and the hot breakfast...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI feel really bad for the people who work here. To those booking hotels, trips, flights, vacations; youāre going to be educated: Flights and hotels: when booking there are options to be fully refunded, partially refunded, credited, and/or no refunds. If you want All of your money back⦠pay the extra money. Weather is out of every oneās control. But bills still need to be paid. I would never go to norāeaster without getting a full refund people. Never! I may opt for a credit, if I can use it at any other location with my IHG membership. Always double check your location to ensure itās where you want to stay. I travel a lot! Many hotel brands are sprucing up their hotels and some are just rebuilding newer and better. Thank you IHG! So, always double check your location. Never never book 3rd party hotels unless you have already been to that location specifically, within a year. You will never get your money back. I.e. Cambria in N. Phoenix/Scottsdale. I was asked to leave because I took pictures of their stained mattresses (yes, more than 1) and told the manager I donāt pay to sleep on a stained mattresses. Itās been 4months. Agoda and cambria will go back and forth between who will pony up the $$$. It was a last minute booking on...
