The jewelry department is a joke... I took my ORIGINAL ring in to get the band fixed and my gem buffed. mind you, I have the lifetime warranty so when I took it in, the lady at the counter said she put everything on the ticket that I wanted done then shipped it to texas to get it all fixed. after over a month, I got my ring back and the other lady who helped me asked me to look at it and make sure everything was okay. I found that the gem wasn’t buffed like it was suppose to.. she offered to have me keep the ring there so she can call the repair shop instead of me sending it back AGAIN and wait another month+. I agreed and then she said “sometimes they answer sometimes they don’t.” like okay? I ended up driving to the store and ended up speaking to the manager Moses (who is awesome by the way, he was super helpful!) explained my situation and he ended up making the situation easier and much more pleasant. In the end, I ended up purchasing the same ring and of course it had to be sent in to be resized (understandable) before I left the store after purchasing the ring, I was told that the resizing doesn’t take as long as the repair. resizing would be between 4-7 business days. well I never received a call until after a week, I decided to call and ask for an update. The lady answered and said she would call the repair place and get an update and call me back.. she never did (a week ago) and hasn’t until this day. Every time I come to this location, I never ever see an associate at the counter or ever around to help. Worst customer service ever!! they completely dropped the ball on customer service in the...
Read moreMy experience at JCPenny is mainly limited to the Salon, of which, I cannot speak highly enough. To say that Nolvia and Shannon are stylists is a gross understatement. They are Master Stylists. It's not a grandiose title, these women can triage and rehabilitate style issues you didn't even know you had. Any styling or grooming challenge, be it man or woman in need of aid, they can soothe, massage, clip, wax, hydrate, and tame into flattering, manageable, submission.
I am in my 40's and have thinning hair. My husband is my age and has long, but very curly hair. Shannon takes care of other members of my family; Nolvia takes care of us. She has doled out home remedies for thinning hair while giving me the most flattering and easy to maintain cut I've ever had. It only took one visit to recognise her vast style knowledge before I drug my husband in to experience her expert ministrations. She charmed his unruly curls in no time and afterwards, he could not stop raving about how enjoyable his time in her chair had been. He even posted a picture I had taken of his hair pulled up into a cute man bun on the top of his head to his Facebook page, he'd had such a good time.
Ladies, these are first time right cuts and styles. Some stylists have a learning curve or need you to direct them heavily, but that is not the case in the skilled hands of these Master Stylists.
Guys, salon treatment is head and shoulders above whatever cheap, dive, walk-in, place you have been going. Treat yourself right. Get a trim, a shave, and a hydrating conditioning infusion from a real professional who has had her licence for...
Read moreA Mixed Bag at JCPenney
My recent visit to JCPenney was a mixed experience, offering both positives and negatives. The store has a broad selection of products, ranging from clothing and accessories to home goods, making it a convenient stop for various shopping needs. I appreciated the extensive range of brands available, particularly in the women’s and children’s clothing sections. There were some great deals, especially during sales events, which is a significant draw for budget-conscious shoppers.
However, the overall shopping experience was somewhat hampered by the store’s organization. I found certain sections cluttered and not well-maintained, which made it difficult to locate specific items. The fitting rooms were also lacking; they were somewhat cramped and could have benefited from better cleanliness. I noticed some unkempt areas that detracted from the overall impression of the store.
Additionally, the checkout process left much to be desired. Although the staff was friendly, the lines were long, and it felt like there weren’t enough cashiers available during busy times. This resulted in longer wait times, which can be frustrating after a long shopping trip.
In summary, while JCPenney offers a good variety of products at reasonable prices, improvements in store organization and customer service would greatly enhance the shopping experience. I would rate my visit three stars, as it had its merits but also considerable room for...
