Tonight I celebrated my 60th birthday by going to my favorite sports bar/restaurant. I was very excited, I've been going to this place for many years to watch my favorite sports events while enjoying a good meal. Tonight it all ended in disappointment. It was busy night. While we were seated promptly, our server was unable to take our drink orders, which was to be expected given that the place was almost full. In the end it took 45 minutes before we finally ordered drinks. We could have ordered our food right then but were not given the chance. Finally, almost 30 minutes after we ordered drinks we were able to order food. We didn't complain, but it began to feel excessively long. When our food began to arrive one plate at a time, it was also odd that we had no utensils to eat with or napkins to wipe our hands with, so I got up and found a server that could help, since our server was not to be found. Some of the orders were mixed up with other tables, but we got a good laugh out of that and didn't pay any mind nor complained about it, we were too busy catching up to worry about that. Our server never came back to check on us or to refill our drinks. When we were done eating and were waiting for our checks, we decided to take some pictures to remember the event so we proceed to clear some of the plates, since no one offered to do that for us. Our server finally came to check on us for the first time, bringing checks in hand to collect payments. We passed them around but were puzzled when none of the checks matched what we ordered. We began to ask questions to see if we could figure it out. Finally we gave up and flagged the server over to our table. She was very upset at our questions and without any explanation informed us that she was going to have to have the manager talk to us and sort out the problems. What problems? We didn't know, since all we did was point out some inconsistencies with our bills. Two young men came to our table. They approached each of us and we explained the inconsistencies. One of them was very nice and apologized for the confusion and indicated things would be taken care of. We were not trying to create a scene, we simply wanted to clear things up.The other young man felt indignation for our questions but said he would help fix things. He came back moments later with more issues since he did not understand the original problem and only made it worse. When we pointed out his mistake he accused us of being disrespectful. He left again and moments later he returned with someone else, a woman who right away told us we had to leave the premises because we were being rude and obnoxious. That remark cut deep since all night we were neglected by the staff. No matter, we just wanted to take the party somewhere else so we asked for our cards back and began to get up to leave. At this point she, the sour looking woman in charge proceeded to threaten to call the police if we didn't leave. She said this out loud for the entire restaurant to hear. None of us consumed alcohol with our meal, so we know we weren't loud. Nevertheless we were accused of it. At this point we were fresh out of patience so we made a big deal out of the mistakes made by the staff, the lack of professionalism on behalf of the managers. We never demanded special treatment, not even service with a smile. But courtesy is expected at a restaurant. Now we were being the object of ridicule and embarrassment. It was the perfect end to a terrible experience. Happy...
Read moreDo not go to this location. My family called in a day early to ask the restaurant if they would be able to service a party of 16 the next day at 3:00pm. We were told this would be no problem. The first of us arrived at 2:54pm. When I told them I was w/ the party of 16, the gentle looked at me shocked and said "The guy on the phone said 3:00." I realized then that they had not prepared a table for us. Mind you, there were guests at the bar, and 2 sitting at a table, So they were not busy. A few men hurried to get some tablets put together for us, while we waiting 10 minutes to be seated. Again, no one else was waiting to be served. While waiting, I picked up a menu to look at, and it had what I could only assume of some sort of sauce on it. Many of the Menu's were dirty. After finally being seated, much of the table was covered in water from them rushing to fill cups of water on the table. The condiment holder and other parts of the table were very dirty as well. It took 54 minutes before we were asked for our orders. The staff I was able to count, 3 men could be seen at the front desk on and off doing nothing in particular, a woman sometimes w/ them, the cook in the kitchen (might have been more, could not see), The manager among them, and the 1 poor waitress they sent to serve us entirely by herself. She was the one trying to take all of our orders, bring us our drinks, bring us our food. At NO POINT did any of the other staff members come over to help her, many of them were walking around talking or standing at the front counter. Again, we were the only guests in there needing to be served still. The waitress was stressed and overwhelmed, and it obvious my family was becoming very upset. The waitress at one point told us, after some of us order salads, that they were our of Lettice. Again, NO OTHER STAFF came to talk to us or help her, despite us being there for over and hour at this point and more than half of us not having our food. It was only when my brother demanded to speak to the manager, than he came over to talk w/ us. I didn't get his name, he was a blonde man, thin, maybe in his mid 30's. Meanwhile, the waitress (I don't recall her name. She had a Jaw bone and rose tattoo on her right forearm) had rushed off the back room in tears over the situation and how angry my family had become. Mind you, I never saw any of the staff members go after her or try to comfort her. Noe once did I see any of them talk to her. Young lady, if you are seeing this, know that this disaster was not your fault. You deserve better and I would encourage you to find work elsewhere. The manager told my brother "They were short staffed." While this may have been true, it was no excuse for what happened, and what didn't happen, more specifically. Anyone who has ever worked in the restaurant business, my self included, could have told this manager that was just a piss poor excuse. The manager there...
Read moreAfter being seated, it took 20 minutes to be greeted by someone (not our waitress). He took our drink order but “couldn’t” take our appetizer order because he was not our actual waiter. We ordered a beer, strawberry lemonade, and water. A water was brought but we didn’t get the other drinks. About 20 minutes later our waitress, Hallee, came to ask if she could get us drinks. I told her we ordered them but was ready to order food. She took our order, then disappeared. 30 minutes later a plate of cold and soggy nachos (our appetizer) was brought out by another waitress. Seems like they were probably sitting for a while. We told them we still have not received our drinks. A different person brought them a few minutes later. My husband’s 20 piece wing was brought out first, followed by my daughter’s 6 piece wing, again not by our waitress. By this time we had been there for an hour and a half. Our waitress finally reappeared and asked if we were missing anything. I said I never received my salad and my daughters wings were dry so she wanted some sauce. She said they were still working on the salad, but would grab the sauce. Sauce was never brought. My husband and daughter ate and finished their food but I still did not receive my salad and our waitress had not returned. I was going to cancel my order since I was watching the kitchen and seeing lots of other orders being taken out to people who came after us. I assumed she never actually put the order in. We also never got any drink refills or asked how things were going. When she finally came back, she gave me a boxed salad (clearly dumped upside down into it from a bowl-ingredients that are normally on top were at the bottom of box) and said the kitchen was “having problems” and wouldn’t charge us for the salad. I asked for the check which she promptly brought us. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. I wish they were packed but we were seated within about 5 minutes of arriving. I can understand having a bad night but the kitchen “having problems” line was used by our waitress with the people next to us too when she brought them their check and a free dessert, because of the “kitchen problems”. People that came after us but had different servers received their food and drinks in a timely manner. I feel like if you aren’t able to do your job, don’t disappoint customers. Go home and try again the next day. We’ve had bad service here before and recently started going back and things were good. We go at least once a month. After tonight, I think we’ll be taking our business elsewhere. Already filled out the online survey, but I doubt it will help. LOTS of bad reviews. They can’t seem to get it together at...
