Iâm as honest as there is, so hopefully this review helps someone before coming in to this particular store. First offâŚIt is not an official Verizon store. They are an authorized Verizon dealer, yes, but because so..they charge other fees, such as a âset up and goâ fee. My experience was that I was charged this $25 charge, but was told it was an activation fee. Iâm used to those, so gave my credit card with no question. The employee then simply called Verizon customer service, added a line on my existing account as requested, and I was sent on my way. No watch set up, data syncing, family member adding to existing account, by the way.
I then received my next months bill and noticed an activation fee of $35 was charged. I thought this was clearly an error since I already paid a â$25 activation feeâ in the store, right? Well..upon further investigation, hrs on the phone with Verizon customer service, who had no record of the $25 payment I paid, I found that the $25 charges were whatâs called a âset up and goâ fee.
SoâŚlong long story short, Iâll end up eating the $25. I can live without it, but wanted to at least take additional time to help someone else out. Just beware with this store, as their employees will tell you one thing, even though absolutely false, to avoid me asking and sayingâŚâohâŚI can call customer service myself to add a line for $0â. But instead, I spent hrs on the phone with Verizon, even drove all the way back to the store to confront the situation. After all of thatâŚdid I get the $25 refunded or credited on my next bill? Nope. 2 years client at over $200 / month to Verizon, and I canât get $25 back from a Verizon employee lying to me.
SoâŚas Iâm sure anyone would agreeâŚunfortunatelyâŚbased on principle, itâs time to take my business elsewhere.
Best of luck to who ever is reading this. ApparentlyâŚyou have to make sure every fee is explained and then confirmed by their manager, then google it to confirm their story as well. My next guess is, a rep from Verizon may read this whole thing and simply replyâŚâwe are sorry for the inconvenience Shawn, we will be happy to assist you. If you could please call customer service, we will see what can be doneâ or something to...
Read moreThis store is not helpful in the slightest. Initially I went in not knowing it was a âbranchâ or âretailerâ of Verizon; this is NOT a corporate store: they have very little compared to a regular, corporate Verizon store. The main rep helping me was nice, however, he was new and he completely messed up my plan. When asking if everything would stay the same, after he told me âheâd save me lots of moneyâ he ensured everything would be the same. But also added Netflix and HBO for only $10. I just learned that my plan was completely changed from a relatively high plan to the very basic- taking away our hotspots- we work from our phones. This does not work. Then I did an upgrade with a phone trade in. Previously Iâve been provided a box with label, when asking about this, I was told âoh no, we donât do that now, just bring it back here within 14 daysâ .. I did just that, and was told it was incorrect and âtheyâ should have given me a box. When explaining it was their location they were shocked. I also tried to return an otterbox case, from Verizon at this store and they couldnât return it because they donât âcarry all productsâ.. Now I just spent over 40 minutes on the phone, getting passed around until I was connected with Jake who thankfully was able to revert everything back. Itâs been a joke, needless to say. Would never recommend this store and wonât be back, even though itâs right...
Read moreWorst experience ever!!! I will never go to a GoWireless EVER again. I went to get a phone and waited 3 hours they said with my phone purchase I would get a "free" tablet since I waited so long they would give me two "free" tablets. I agreed not know I was going to be in a two year contract, paying $20 a month for them. When it came down to getting the phone they wanted a down payment. I said never mind I will just go online and purchase a phone. They insisted on giving me the tablets and that I could go home and cancel the service. When I got home I couldn't so I called customer service to cancel they told me I was in a two year agreement and I had 14 days to take the tablets back. When I went back to the store they said they couldn't take the tablets back. I was so frustrated I called customer service again and they tried to do everything they could but since I didn't get these from a corporate store they couldn't take them back and I had to go to GoWireless I went back there and the district manager was there and he was nice at first but as soon as I was telling him what was going on he was VERY rude not very good customer service he said that his employees explain everything when we "purchased" these tablets we were suppose to get for free. I had to pay a restocking fee of $140 I called customer service and they refunded the money to my account....
