I took my first class at Suvita Hot Yoga in May 2017 and it was has been nothing short of life changing physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I was struggling with migraines for years but they had increased to 3-4 times per week. I was on medications for preventive measures and medication for when a migraine had progressed to "a point of no return." On top of nerve damage in my neck, I was in a cycle of bad habits; lack of sleep, minimal consumption of water, increased stress levels, unhealthy diet and I was drowning deeper into a darkness. My mama had suggested I try hot yoga - a physical and mental exercise. Suvita Hot Yoga is unlike any other "hot yoga" or "bikram" studio in Utah. Their heat adds to an already challenging practice. It isn't easy, isn't always enjoyable but it is the best kind of hard. After my first class I felt refreshed, calm, collected, I was challenged, I felt encouraged and motivated- and with over 100 classes I still feel those after every class. I was finally able to sleep, I drank water to grow in my practice and quench the after practice thirst, I was able to release toxins and felt my bodies need to ingest better food and it was an outlet for me to escape. Suvita Hot Yoga has facilitated a space for me to reduce the frequency of my migraines, has aided in weight loss, the process of relationship loss, the emotional and physical aspects of post partum, and the daily stressors of life. I have been able to expand the bounds of my consciousness, practice mental discipline and challenge myself physically on the four corners of my mat. Mya and Suvita Hot Yoga staff have created an environment that is welcoming and accepting of all. Amber greets everyone by name and is always very kind, Zach's song selection creates a fun environment but always challenges us with the heat, Felicia has a deep soul and pushes me mentally. I have not had a negative experience at this studio and I will continue to recommend and support this incredible business.
If you are reading this, I encourage and challenge you to take the step, be open and welcome to change because Suvita Hot Yoga is guaranteed to...

The hot flows have had a few tweaks so the sequence doesn't get boring, but still remains the same reliable flow we've all come to love and expect. Additional classes/workshops have been so much fun! (Shout out to Spanish Yoga with Lesly!!) The merchandise offerings are high quality (hello Manduka and ALOHA mats!) and also offer items from local artists. As always, the staff is beyond amazing and has truly become family. Highly recommend giving Suvita a try for all levels...beginner to advanced! Come and get your sweat on!
UPDATE: I still L-O-V-E this place! I've been so thankful to grow my yoga practice with this studio and staff. Each class continues to cater to both new students and more advanced students without making anyone feel unwelcomed. Every class and instructor makes me feel like I'm exactly where I need to be while also challenging to "push to my edge" for continued growth. The alignment workshops have been so helpful and allow me a deeper understanding of each pose and what works for my body. I look forward to continuing my yoga journey with the Suvita family!
Sept 2021: L-O-V-E this place! I was intimidated to try hot yoga thinking I'd walk into a room of very experienced yogis and be the only "newbie", but this was not the case. Teachers, staff, and students are very welcoming and supportive! I love that it's an environment that supports students of all levels, body types, and walks of life. The range of classes offered is fabulous too! You can either rock out and sweat to a hot flow class or relax in a candlelit hot yin class. They've also got really wonderful workshops - Sound Baths, Yoga for Back Pain, Build Your Own Mala and more. I'm so thrilled to be part of the...
Read moreIf you want to sweat and still feel serene, Suvita is the place. I’ve been attending classes at Suvita for a little over 2 years. Currently, I am practicing 3 or more times/week at this studio.
From the moment you walk in, the lobby feels fresh and alive with plants and a well-designed, open retail area. The staff greet you warmly every time. Once you step into the studio space, the mood shifts into a quiet, Zen-like calm that sets the stage for practice. The lighting and layout in that space is purposeful, and complements the specific classes that are hosted there.
Suvita’s signature sequence blends Bikram and Ashtanga influences into a flow that feels both grounding and energizing. Good balance and pacing. Classes can get HOT. This place gets hotter than any other studio I’ve been to in Salt Lake. Stick by the entryway door if you are worried about your body in heat while exercising.
Most classes I’ve been to have good music choices that enhance the overall experience. Lesly brings a deep intelligence of yoga to her classes. With her calm and nurturing tone, she guides with special attention to pranayama breathing and concise cueing. Hector is upbeat and energetic and uses a lot of heat. His vinyasa flows are both fun and challenging. I recommend trying both their signature and vinyasa flow classes.
The studio is consistent in quality, class times, and atmosphere, making it easy to build a strong personal practice routine. The locker rooms and showers are clean and convenient. You have several choices of diverse classes with great teachers.
This studio has become a cornerstone of my weekly and morning routines. Thank you to the entire Suvita family for being an amazing part of the west Salt...
