UPDATE⭐️ a manger finally called back after about 2 months of calling the # below! No help at all she was quite rude and seemed annoyed that she even had to speak to me and acted like I was just trying to get something out of her like free food or something which I’m not!! WE DEFINITELY WONT BE BACK AND PLEASE AVOID THIS PLACE IF YOU OR A FAMILY MEMBER ARE IN A WHEELCHAIR UNLESS YOU WANT SOME HOSTESS SHOVING THEM UNDER A TABLE AN BRUISING THEIR LEGS and treating you like a total inconvenience !’ First off our waitress was amazing she was so nice even though she was very busy! She definitely gets 5 stars!! Unfortunately there was not much else that was amazing! We went for our son’s 21st birthday and I called at 11:00 am right when they opened to get on the wait list because we had 11 people in our party. When we arrived the manager I cannot remember her name was quite rude and said “I don’t know who you say you talked to but we don’t take reservations!” I told her I knew that but that I had called for the wait list bc we had a large party! She then looked and there was my name even though the first time she looked “my name wasn’t there.” They seated us clear across from each other which was annoying as we were there to celebrate our sons 21st birthday but couldn’t even all sit close to each other and then they acted annoyed bc everyone kept getting up to talk to each other because we were 20 feet apart!
Now to the reason we WONT BE BACK we have a severely disabled son who because of the terrible place that they sat us his wheelchair was sticking out not leaving a lot of room for the people at the table behind us to get in or out which was not our fault they were aware we had a wheelchair and sat us there anyway. So after we were there about 15 min an African American woman(not the point just couldn’t read her name tag) came up and said “ he’s in the way our servers can’t get in and out so you need to move him!” Now THEY seated us in this little hole away from our family and with people behind us we didn’t ask to be seated there then she was so rude and started TO TOUCH and MOVE our little boys wheel chair and just gave us a dirty look. I think she thought it was just a stroller and maybe that we were just being rude and blocking the way with it but he CANNOT sit up on his own and was hooked to his feeding pump and oxygen and it is a wheelchair not a stroller! She had NOOO right to touch his chair or act like he was an inconvenience to them! They should not have sat us where there was a table behind us and in such a small tight space! Even the people behind us as we were trying to figure out what to do with his chair said “he’s not in our way don’t worry about us” but the women just kept walking by glaring at us after we turned him and pushed him in so far that he was crying because his legs were getting hurt so much that I had to take him out and try to hold him while sitting in a bench with only 6 inches of space between me and the table. It was so uncomfortable and made us feel like we were such a inconvenience and that our son was a problem! I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE IF YOU HAVE ANYONE IN YOUR PARTY WHO IS DISABLED AND NEEDS ACCESSIBLE SEATING as they do not care they only care about packing in as many people as possible to make money. They came and sang to our son but we couldn’t see as they seating him and the rest of our party too far from us and I couldn’t move bc my special needs son was in my lap. What should have been a fun family birthday was made into a discriminatory “hey how are you guys all the way over there night!” We are definitely going to report to ADA for accessibility and...
Read moreDecided to eat here for my husband's birthday last night . I let the person seating us know as a secret from my husband that it was my husband's birthday and asked if they can sing but they dont need to bring the thing they sit on when singing happy birthday but I think they forgot to mention that to our waiter .
Fast forward to our dining experience. Our waiter was amazing , we ordered the combo appetizer and it was nice and pipping hot when it arrive (which we love) and was probably the best thing we ordered all night besides the soda .
Our main dishes were mediocre. When we received our plates my husband ordered steak and ribs with a loaded baked potato and mac and cheese I ordered Steak kabobs with a loaded baked potatoes and mac and cheese as well . When we received out plates we didn't even have our baked potatoes (why did they even dish out plates that were incomplete ?) and both my husband and I's meats were Luke warm not even hot when we received them (we wanted to try our meats while waiting because it looked so good) ! When we got our baked potatoes they only brought one out and we had to wait yet again for the 2nd baked potatoe. By the time i got the 2nd baked potatoe my food was cold . My husband didn't bother about his meal because he was hungry so he ate his plate regardless of the temperature but didn't eat his ribs because it just wasn't appetizing anymore . I on the other hand had a problem with it because if we are gonna pay a hefty price for the food the food should at least be hot on arrival right . I let my waiter know and he was super nice about it even asked if I wanted a new one made and or if I wanted it warmed up . I asked for a new one . He let me know that I would have to speak to the manager which I had no problem with.
Took a little bit for the manager to come and she arrived by the time my husband was already done eating . Told the manager about the temperature of my food upon arrival and the only thing the manager offered was to warm up my plate and didn't mention making a new one . At this point I was already just like whatever because I couldn't enjoy dinner with my husband for his birthday because he was already done by the time I got my plate . Even tho when I received my plate it did look like a completely new meal I had to ask for the extra onions I ordered that didn't arrive with it so yes waited more just to complete my whole order .
I was hoping with everything that happened that they would at least waive my meal for the situation that happened but the manager never offered and at that point my husband and I just wanted to get out .
The taylorsville & south Jordan's location never gave us issues food quality wise and we didn't ever miss items upon arrival and those reasons locations are the reason why we love texas road house . So id definitely say I wouldn't come return back to the Sandy location but definitely to the...
Read moreThis was a very busy place to go for a Saturday night Birthday celebration. We both had rib eyes, my wife has the 12 oz and I went for the tomahawk, a 20 oz with the small fillet removed makes the bone look longer, like a tomahawk handle. The steaks were both unevenly cut and therefore parts were overcooked for having ordered it rare medium rare and other parts near the bone were cooked as requested. I very much enjoyed the full meal. I had a Caesar salad, a loaded baked potato and the tomahawk steak. My wife ordered a house salad, baked potato with butter only and her 12 oz. Rib eye steak. Her steak was ordered to be medium rare but came out medium - medium well. She went ahead and ate the steak without complaining about it being overcooked. It was very loud as we were seated in the bar after waiting for an hour and a half for a regular table, they forgot us twice until I became upset and went through the restaurant looking for the manager. When I acquired her attention with a very loud, booming voice of dissatisfaction and disgust I related to her our circumstances and she immediately took us together to the bar, but was able to seat us at a full size table. I decided I would like to have a margarita to help me decompress, but then when I was told that the bar code on my driver's license would have to be scanned and all alcohol consumption would be recorded for the State of Utah. I believe that would be a violation of my privacy rights and was willing to show my I.D., but refused to have the bar code on the back of my driver's license scanned and was not allowed to get an alcoholic beverage. I drank water without ice, but with lemon. The water was cool and lemon made it drinkable. The restaurant was willing to provide a scope of ice cream to my wife for her birthday. I can think of many other places that are more grateful for a person who chooses their restaurant for choosing to celebrate at their establishment. We ordered a brownie to eat with the ice cream which is what I suspect Texas Roadhouse was looking to accomplish by only offering a single scoop of ice cream. In fact, the brownie and ice cream was so good, that we ordered a second one to take back to our hotel room. It was still very good the next day even though our mini-fridge didn't have a freezer, but turned all the way up it kept the ice cream at least partially still frozen. In all, after being ignored for over an hour and a half, it turned out to be a very good meal and date for us to celebrate my...
