This is a pretty popular place with a lot of positive reviews, and I'm really not quite sure why. I would say it's below average in quality of sushi / ramen and a little more expensive. I would go somewhere else next time.

We stopped by on a weeknight and ordered a few rolls and the Tonkotsu ramen. The Ramen is pretty underwhelming. The best way I can describe it is a fast food Ramen. Broth mostly flavorless. For the meat they threw in a pork chop that was pretty dry, and instead of seaweed, the ramen had spinach leaves. The noodles were the best part and they were just ok. If you're planning on Ramen literally go anywhere else.

The sushi is OK but nothing great. The highlight by far was the sunshine roll which was pretty decent, but it was $12.99 and not as good as other Sunshine rolls I've had. A sunshine roll is usually $8-10. We also got roll combo # 4 which had a few deep fried rolls and a California roll. Probably wouldn't order it again. Deep fried sushi is heavily breaded. The California rolls are a little different, instead of using shredded imitation crab with a mayonnaise mixture they just use a dry chunk of imitation crab with a little avocado. It makes the roll really dry and not very flavorful. So sushi wasn't the greatest and a little more expensive than most other places.

The service person was nice enough but clearly overwhelmed. There were maybe five or six groups ordering and waiting for food in the restaurant. We literally ordered and finished our entire meal of ramen and four sushi rolls before anyone else got their food. So it was probably 20+ minutes between orders.

I really wanted to like this place because I love trying new sushi places, but this particular restaurant doesn't have a lot going for it in quality,...

Bland ramen, decent sushi.

A small mom and pop type shop with amazing service, situated in the plaza, across the south street of South Towne mall (East of the Shell gas station).

The good - The sushi options, though limited, were great. The fish seemed pretty fresh and the flavors were on point. The owner is super friendly. I love small mom and pop shops and the service and feel of them.

The bad - I came here mainly for the ramen after seeing the initial reviews praising the ramen and was disappointed. I've had ramen from all over (Japan, Korea, New York, Vegas, No/So. Cali, various Utah joints) and the Tonkotsu ramen was super bland, thin, plain, and light. Usually a bowl of Tonkotsu ramen broth has just the right amount of thickness in the broth that it fills me up. The chashu pork was super thin, no real garnishes (bamboo shoots, mushrooms and/or ginger), and the traditional "soft boiled" ramen egg was completely overcooked. We were also disappointed with the udon as it was also pretty plain and bland.

For now, I can only recommend this place if you want some pretty fresh sushi / sushi burritos and super friendly service. Unless the ramen and udon get changed up, I would recommend staying away from those options.

4 stars for service, 4 stars for sushi, 1 star for the...

We’ve been craving some sushi along our road trip and we’re so glad that we stopped by Lee Sushi! Absolutely recommended! As an Asian, I’ve tried tons of sushi places and this restaurant definitely ranks among the top ones. First of all, food - we ordered a spicy dumpling ramen, a tonkotsu ramen, calamari rings and the crunchy lover rolls - all are very tasty!! The spicy dumpling ramen includes deep fried dumplings that added an additional texture to the dish. Both ramens have more tonkotsu slices than any other places I’ve been to. Crunchy lover rolls are rich in flavor with balanced seasoning, not too salty or saucy. Second, super friendly and helpful staff - we arrived near 8pm which was pretty late, but the staff told us to take our time and no hurry which we really appreciated. She brought our food to the table with a small cute cart and checked with us several times to make sure everything is good. Finally, love the low-key vide and self ordering system. There are two kiosks with details about each dish, allowing customers to learn more about the ingredients before making the decision, efficient and thoughtful.

Overall, such a lovely dining experience!!! 10/10...

I really want to give 5 stars because the staff/owners were so nice. You get a very homey feeling from them. The tonkatsu ramen was pretty good. It had some nice home made cha-shu meat. The spicy Korean ramen was basically instant ramen with some veggies. I'd recommend staying away from that one. I wish there was at least some kimchee or meat or something. The rolls were a little light on sushi flavoring (which refers to the rice, not fish BTW). The rice had no shine - a dead giveaway (if they hadn't already told us they were Korean) that the food wasn't prepared by natives. Prices are really reasonable and quantities were plenty generous. The sushi burritos did look good and I would go back to try one of those next time.
