I should’ve checked the reviews for the sandy location now I know that I should not have went to their new location in Ogden the worst sandwich shop ever give you your wrong order all the time had to fix it two times the first time I went, then tried to give them another try and they messed up me and my family members sandwiches and it’s not worth the price And the quality is just not there sing from other people‘s reviews that they miss toppings on the sandwiches if you’re gonna call yourself a sandwich shop know how to make sandwiches. Also, your online app is a joke ordered on that and I should get what’s on the picture that shows on the picture on the app every on that picture should come on the sandwich. It was a practically nothing on the sandwich just meat. Don’t go here people. Hopefully they go out of business. They don’t belong here. The ones in the eastern states are better. They make potbelly look terrible in the state of Utah the owners will claim to try to fix and do what’s right and the reviews on their Google reviews and have you come in and do what is right and they do the exact same thing. Serve you terrible food so don’t listen to them update you guys really need to turn in Ogden location to corporate. I really hope the same owner doesn’t own the sandy location. You guys really need to tell corporate that the Ogden one is not following the rules on online app system and getting peoples orders wrong because it makes the sandy location look terrible I tried contacting the email. The owner wrote to send it doesn’t work. It’s invalid corporate never gets back to anybody so maybe somebody out the store can tell them that Ogden is not doing very good. Maybe they need to look at the reviews and sit down with the franchise owner and tell them there not doing a very good job. When I see some of the bad reviews on here and the owner responds it’s a copy and paste with a link. I tried to email that link with no response. Seems like they just wanna do a copy and paste response but still don’t respond to fix the problem. That’s terrible customer service why are people coming here and giving them business they’re able to open up an Ogden location. We don’t want that people. This is not how a business should be ran terrible customer service terrible food please don’t give a terrible company...
Read moreI was really excited for this spot but the experience of ordering via the app, the food that I got, and the experience picking it up was disappointing to say the least.
I picked up my sandwich from the store. There’s a dedicated pickup area that they don’t use. All sandwiches are kept behind the counter, so you’ve got to wait and ask someone to get your food for you.
Once I opened my Wreck sandwich, I saw it was literally ONLY meat, cheese, and bread. Pretty much a hot pocket. I was very upset and thought the location just forgot to make half of the sandwich.
It turns out, the app’s ordering process is to blame. When you select a sandwich, it shows you what the full on sandwich looks like with all of the toppings. Lettuce, tomato, mayo, pickles, etc. What the app nor the store doesn’t tell you is that it DOES NOT include any sandwich toppings by default. Normally, sandwiches include toppings by default and allow you to make additions or subtractions if you want. That is not how things work here. If you miss that on the app, you get dry bread and meat. So frustrating.
So I bought three sandwiches, drove all the way back to SLC, and realized that here were zero toppings on my sandwiches. These sandwiches aren’t cheap either.
I’m sure the employees pay more attention and ask you all of what you want on your sandwiches, but the app is a major bait and switch. I’m sure I’m not the first person this has happened to.
Very disappointing. The food I did receive was mediocre and, with the time it takes to get out there, I probably won’t be going again.
Update: it’s been days since they left the official reply and no one has responded to my email to Customer Service. Don’t look at their replies to bad reviews and think Potbelly is actually doing anything to remedy poor...
Read moreIf I could give a rating less than 1 star, I absolutely would. This weekend I had an event and purchased 2 boxes of sandwiches from Potbelly in Sandy Utah. When I went to pick up the cold cut sandwiches, they were both sitting on a hot box and 2 male employees seemed cautious to hand me the boxes even after confirming my name on the receipt. Every single guest who ate a sandwich from my event had extremely bad food poisoning the following night and next day. A total of 17 guests were vomiting, had sweats and chills, diarrhea and other symptoms. Most of the gusts from my event traveled from California and had to push back their flights or drive home due to the illness from the sandwiches. When we reported the incident to Potbelly, we were told that we would hear back the following day but never got a reach out. I had to reach back out to Potbelly myself this morning and was greeted by the general manager who denied a refund and tried to a state that the food poisoning couldn’t have come from them since the first person who got sick was affected relatively shortly after eating. I tried to explain that the sandwiches are the only food item that everyone who got sick shared but each time I tried to talk, the general manager talked over me and denied anything I was saying. Also, food poisoning can take anywhere from an hour to a couple days, there is no specific time range where it will affect a person. The customer service was horrid and triggered an anger response. I will be contacting the health and safety department investigate the...
