We stayed in #212 and overall were pleased with our experience. Our unit was on the second floor with a balcony overlooking the river and the trail and also with a nice view of the gondolas going up to the top and to Mountain Village. It seemed like a very good value for what you get as lodging in Telluride can be quite expensive.||THE PROS: The condo was clean, modern, well maintained, nicely furnished and decorated, and well equipped. The location is very nice - particularly the building along the river. It is within easy walking distance to the gondola station, and Clark's market. The excellent Thai restaurant Siam and the Wine Mine are both right across the street. The large, tiled shower was very nice with full size bottles of shampoo and conditioner. The unit had plenty of towels, a nicely equipped kitchen, plenty of storage and some nice bonuses like board games, books, a washer and dryer and extra towels to use at the pool and hot tub. It is clear the owners care about their guest's comfort. The grounds seemed well maintained and clean. The company we booked through, Lodging in Telluride, was very good - excellent communication via e-mails and very responsive to us when we reported some minor problems. ||THE CONS: The unit was kind of small - very adequate for 2 of us but would feel very cramped with any more than that. There is no elevator in this building so it is a little inconvenient to have to carry all your luggage and gear up the stairs upon arrival and the opposite when departing. The wifi was not great - especially in the bedroom. We had some issues with the appliances - the built in microwave was not working properly - a smaller counter-top one was brought to us which was fine. The refrigerator/freezer is a SubZero brand, built in below the counter-top so it looks very sleek and modern but it is quite small. Also the freezer would not always stay latched when closed so you had to be very careful when closing it. It did not seem to freeze things evenly and some items did not freeze at all. There was also a problem with the latch on the window by the front door so we would have to go out on the landing to pull it open or push it shut. During the day we could sometimes overhear other residents talking on their phones while sitting outside their condos - the sound really carries and that could get slightly annoying at times but things were always quiet at night. All of these issues were just minor annoyances and not...

Read moreThe employee got lost four times trying to find my room. My first room was the size of a closet and had no window. It was stifling as there was no AC. The room was up at the very top of the place with 3 sets of narrow, crooked stairs to get there. No one offered to help me with my luggage, and it was immediately obvious when I entered that this was not going to work for me. I went back downstairs right away and asked to be moved , but this same employee told me that the manager was gone and she texted him, telling him the issue and his reply to her was to get my number and I would be taken care of. I returned at 9:30 pm having not received any such phone call and called the number for the lodge. I was connected with this manager who had checked me in and he sounded like he had never heard of me and that they were fully booked, nothing he could do, he denied that there were any similar rooms that hadn't been checked into yet which I later found out was untrue, so I told him that my room was completely unacceptable and that I would be taking this up the following day as he was denying me access. The next day he apparently had been thinking about my statement and I was miraculously moved to an available room with a cot-like bed on a outer 2nd floor level tha t4 am work contractors were noisily tramping on the next morning. The TV was 12 inches in diameter and the WIFI was nonexistent to spotty. The coffee area was nasty, there was ratty, dusty furniture in the lounge area, and the entire building was unlocked at all hours. The manager chose to argue with me saying he didn't know I was "handicapped" and refused to acknowledge that I had specifically requested a ground floor unit. Nothing nice, quaint or romantic about this place. A minus on all...
