Ok where do I start? Had a reservation we made yesterday for today at 7:30 pm. I was told there are many vegan options. We arrived at 7:30 got seated at 7:50. We were educated about Thai cuisine when asked about Vegan options and any possible modifications. Although we have had vegan vegetarian food at Thai places across US, EU and many other places worldwide. There was no willingness to accommodate and there man said he was the manager... so we chose from the few options - ordered 5 Thai teas, Thai Salad, Thai Garden stir fry, Drunken noodles and an order of rolls that was asparagus, apple and sushi rice wrapped in butter lettuce - we asked to replace asparagus with Cucumber and basil since we could not have the sauce. Two times orders came wrong with asparagus popping out interval of 20+ minutes then it finally came with cucumbers. When it was tried there was just rice and cucumbers in lettuce no apples or basil so he took the third back and brought out a replacement for the only one roll he took back this time with half the butter lettuce and wrapped up in some pink sheet and still not basil. I am posting a photo here. It is 9:10 and we are still waiting for Thai Garden Stir fry and Drunken noodles Only about an hour and 20 minutes of wait for two dishes thus far. The dishes arrived totally bland and tasteless.

I usually don’t like to leave reviews but this just had to be heard . First we arrive at the restaurant and wanted to order Togo. That’s cool so we did that . I walked back inside and asked for an estimated time and the gentleman said about and hour to an hour and a half. Alright that’s fine . So we then decided to go back to the hotel back at mints in village since it was going to take a while . Once we finally got the the last stop they texted us about 3 minutes after we got there . That’s cool I get it was our fault for deciding to do that however the fact that the gentleman said it was gonna take that long AND that toast had said it was going to take that long made us assume that we had time to just go and come back . And then at the end of it all we found a hair in the food . Mind you I was chewing the food and felt the hair in my mouth and pulled out that long strand . The food was good but it was just a bit upsetting to have found that .

Ate here for dinner and was underwhelmed by the food. Staff was friendly and place had a nice vibe to it. While they have a few dishes that are marked as vegetarian optional, most of the entrees I usually order at Thai restaurants were non-vegetarian customizable here (has fish and oyster sauce that cannot be removed) - this included the curries, pad thai, khao soi, really most of their entrees. We ended up ordering a fried rice dish and a glass noodles dish with tofu; the rice was decent but the noodle dish was very bland and lacked flavor. As I heard good things about Siam, I’m guessing that they just don’t know how to flavor vegetarian or vegan options well. 2 entrees ran us >$70 with tip. Overall was disappointed with the food and vegetarian/vegan options and would unlikely return.

The only reason the rating is a 3 star instead of a 2 star is because of the food - the service and atmosphere are quite lacking. We didnt have a reservation and were told by the host, who seemed very confused, that he could seat is in maybe 30 mins or 45 mins or just sometime. Anyway we kept waiting because we had already been waiting for so very long. After being seated at the bar, it took the bartender a while to take our drinks and appetizer order and he didn’t acknowledge or smile at us even once. We did get our drinks of Thai margarita and sweet basil martini quite quick and they were well made! Our appetizer of Curry puff were great and we ordered a second round, because of how good it was. We also placed our order for entree at the same time. Our second appetizer came soon enough but we kept waiting and waiting and waiting for our food. When I asked the bartender about our food status, he just said he didn’t know. After a while I had to flag the manager to ask him and he said “kitchen is backed up”. Few minutes later he came by to say that kitchen did a mistake and our order was right now being made. All this while we are sitting here with 2 young kids eager to just leave!! Meanwhile we see all the the tables that got seated after us, getting their entrees. That was wonderful!! At least another 10 minutes go by before we get our food and for what it’s worth the food was very very good. Well done, well spiced and balanced in every which way. Again our bartender never came to ask us if we might need another drink or what had happened to our food. For their part, they comped off 2 items of our order but the whole experience left a bitter enough taste for us to not want to dine again or add it to my list of restaurants to share with...

The good: Food was amazing. Delicious Thai specialties with various Asian fusion options. If I was grading on food only I'd give it 4.5 stars (no it's not the best Thai food you ever tasted as locals would have you believe)

The bad: The hostess (it appeared to be the owner) was a very interesting character. She was offended that we walked into her restaurant without a reservation, and told us that she may have something for us if we wait around. I could tell this was going to interesting so we decided to grab a drink at the bar while waiting. That took good 20 minutes to get noticed by the bartender at the bar that seats 5 people. It seemed like the owner runs a tight ship and we were not to be served until the matriarch gives an approval. Another guest was rudely chased away from the bar because they didn't check in with the hostess which at some point hung up on somebody while walking around with "how's that for customer service?".

The ugly: At some point the restaurant lost the purpose to serve the customer even if it means a friendly nod or a smile. At first I found the environment to be entertaining as I was amused by it, but it really isn't comfortable for most people. The place suffers from the "soup Nazi" syndrome. The place is busy. It serves great food. They won't be hurt by this review, but at least people...
