I took my parents to dinner here and our meal was AMAZING. My folks were totally blown away by the service and intimate setting, and the food wowed all of us! Mark the owner/chef gives the experience a true personal touch and makes The Tunnel a unique experience for Telluride and not to be missed. We went for the South Western American theme, and I'm hard pressed to say which of the five courses was my favorite, though the scallop/shrimp combo and bison sous-vide were soooooo good. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that the cocktails here- no exaggeration- are probably the best in town. Kyle our bartender handcrafted each one with ingredients such as fresh-pressed blood orange juice (YUM). Each cocktail is specifically crafted and made for each entree to bring out the unique flavors of both the food and the beverage- seriously so tasty. We got a sneak peek of next week's Italian theme dinners, and at this rate The Tunnel might be a weekly thing for me.

I am a bit at odds writing a review because everyone will know that this place is by far one of the best (if not the best) in Telluride. Small, intimate, something like 12 courses, each one absolutely dialed-in, a fantastic wine pairing and stellar service. Worth every penny as there is no POSSIBLE way I could ever recreate this on my own....ever (well, except maybe the water botte, I could buy that and pour on my own I suppose). It was my better-half's birthday, and the staff took the time to write her a very personal, and heart-felt card....you just don't get that focus and attention to detail anywhere anymore. A very worthwhile splurge, fantastic food, exemplary service, great setting, and with the Chef Mike providing an explanation and back story for every course...could not have asked for a better, more personalized experience!

Wow, is all can say from start to finish. From the text with our secret password and the location to enter, to the passion of the chef and lead server, to the welcoming bubbles and the stunning, to the cozy outdoor seating and if course, the delicious 6 course meal that made nearby Allred’s look like a total rip-off! This was a night to remember and if you think of food as something to be enjoyed and if you think of “dining” as a form of entertainment, Chef Mark and team very much hit the mark! Bravo and was a highlight of our trip. Can’t recommend it enough! Just a small taste to show you the deliciousness and beauty of what to expect.

An amazing experience from beginning to end. It all begins with a creative theme in which you feel you are discovering a secret. After making a reservation, a text message will guide you through the rest as you make your way to the location the day of. This "treasure hunt" feel- inspired from prohibition era dining- invoked excitements and joys from childhood, and these feelings continued throughout the evening with each dish. Our server, Kara, was knowledgeable and attentive- making sure that we had everything we needed. The enthusiasm for excellent food is evident from the moment the owner, Mark, speaks to you about the first dish and confirmed from the flavor of the first bite. Each dish is clearly created with heart and creativity. As you enjoy each course, the culinary traditions and flavors of a selected region are revealed to you. The menu is essentially an act of gratitude and appreciation for the culinary contributions of a culture, in our case- it was those from Hawaii. Every dish was a home run. The community seating furthers enhances the sense that this is more of a culinary experience than simply a dinner out. The joy of getting to know people while enjoying a world-class meal is a night to remember. After my wife and I left, the first thing we said to each other was, "we can't wait to come back." You should absolutely treat yourself to this one of a...

The ambience and mystique of Tunnel is almost as compelling as the construction of the tasting menu, its perfect execution and the careful and attentive service. The theme of this menu, South Carolina low country cuisine, is expertly probed, twisted and elevated into a series of courses that are totally unique, delicious and memorable. This is refined cooking, worthy of serious attention. But, it is the atmosphere and the intimacy and the downright playful joyousness of Tunnel that constantly reminds you that this establishment doesn't take itself too seriously, even in its pursuit of beautiful, tasty, complex and delicious food. Perfection. Get the wine pairing. And at least a couple cocktails. Don't miss this unique experience, you can tell from the rating profile that this is just me jumping on another (crowded)...
