My husband and I stayed here this past Friday night. We were looking for a cute, quiet get away for a night and an opportunity to explore Sag Habor. Our experience was pretty bad. We arrived Friday night and went to check in. There were 3 staff members in the check-in area all wearing their masks under their noses. We had purchased the breakfast package and a room with a private patio. The room was cute, and clean and we were excited to be there, until nighttime. From approximately 8pm-2am all we heard were the guests above us walking back and fourth on the wooden balcony to get to their room. It was so noisy that despite it being cool enough to sleep without the AC we turned it on in hopes to drown out some of the noise. Neither my husband nor myself slept more than 3 hours. The next morning, at 7:30 (the time they state the restaurant and room service opens) I called to order the breakfast we had paid for. No one answered the phone until 7:50. I was then told I called the wrong number, though I dialed the number listed on the provided sheet. I asked how the breakfast package worked, and then man said he didn't know but would find out. He told us that when we check out, they will subtract the $40 credit. We placed an order and were told it would be 20 minutes. About 20 minutes later, a staff member came to the door and stated that "because we didn't answer our phone" (the room phone didn't work....) he wanted to tell us they were out of french toast and would we take pancakes? Sure, no problem. Approximately 1 hour since I had initially called we still did not have our food. I called again and the food arrived shortly thereafter. I asked again about the credit, and the man had absolutely no idea what I was talking about and told us to sign for the bill. The pancakes came with chocolate chips in them (we were not told of this when we ordered) and no syrup, thus I had to call again. The breakfasts were ice cold and possibly the worst breakfast my husband and I ever had.

At this point, we decided this experience was bad enough and decided to check out around 9 am. When we got to the check out, there was no breakfast credit on the bill, and she was unsure as to why we weren't told to sign the room number on the bill. She asked how our stay was and I explained that it was pretty loud and unenjoyable. She stated "oh yea it can be a little noisy." She offered us a 10% rebate for our experience, which in my opinion given what we paid was honestly not enough. Needless to say, we will never be back and I will be sure to advise people to not waste...

About a week ago I booked a one night stay on the hotels website for this weekend. This would have been the first time my husband and I spent the night away from my daughter since she was born and we were really looking forward to it. We decided to try something different and go to Baron’s cove as it kept coming up on my Groupon (although the day I booked the groupon was no longer available). My daughter woke up Saturday morning with a high fever and I called as soon as the reservation line opened for the day, hopeful that I could reschedule for another weekend and not lose my money. They were adamant that I could not cancel nor move my reservation. Since I was going to lose $300 for the room I told my sister and her husband to go. I had made a dinner reservation for that night at the hotel but they did not have my name when they went to the restaurant. They accommodated them and They ate dinner at the restaurant and afterwards wanted a drink and went to the the bar which was packed. The bartender took their order but never made them drinks, serving other patrons in the area but never coming back to them. They decided to go to the room and as the night went on it became quite apparent how thin the walls are as they heard everything in the surrounding rooms. It sounded like most of the other people there were very drunk and couples making other “noises” could be easily heard from the rooms. When one room calmed down another started up and they finally decided to leave around 10pm as it didn’t seem to be calming down and the smell of must in the room was bothering my sister. My sister was shocked at the screaming and rowdiness from adults. When they went to the front desk to tell them they were leaving they offered them another room, my sister said they were actually really nice (I wish I talked to that person that morning!) they decided to take it so they didn’t have to drive home that late, there was much less noise in the other room they were given in a different area of the hotel. When they left this morning they stopped for breakfast in the area and were told that this hotel offers rooms to locals for a low price offering a staycation for those that live around the area. They probably make up the rate with the bar tab! I checked the reviews before I booked and they seemed good, I’m assuming a lot of local people are leaving reviews. The whole experience left a very bad taste in my mouth and I will certainly not be recommending this place to...

For approximately the last five years, my daughter and I have enjoyed the wonderful accommodations, hospitality, picturesque location and exceptional friendly services at Baron’s Cove. Be it summer, fall or Thanksgiving Day, Baron’s Cove never disappoints. The atmosphere and ambiance are ideal for a family gathering, bridal party, wedding, or simply a weekend getaway for fun in the sun which could likely turn into a longer vacay, that is if one is lucky enough to extend the stay. Believe me, Baron’s Cove is one of the hottest locations in Sag Harbor. Weekend evenings bring in patrons from all walks of life. The hotel restaurant serves some of the best entrees, service is impeccable and the bar lounge is so conducive for enjoying top shelf liquors, wines and cocktails while conversing with family and friends while listening to live music of all genres. I would be remiss if I did not acknowledge one of the “most talented and professional” bartenders throughout Suffolk County — the Renowned, KAMANI! When Kamani serves you, it’s difficult to leave the bar. ||Of course, Baron’s entire staff, starting with Jose, Ron, Kristan, the front desk staff, Baron’s creative chef, the servers, engineers, complimentary car service, housekeeping and last but by no means the least, the pool attendants who each summer, travel from European locations to fully train, fall in place and serve us hotel guests in the most friendly, warm and gracious manner. This summer, Kitty, Johnnie, Finn’s brother, along with several other outstanding pool staffers and two upcoming and hard-working younger male pool attendants maintained the|swimming pool in the most orderly, comfortable, clean and relaxing manner. My daughter and I never wanted for anything the entire day. It was simply over a week of fun in the sun at the pool and/or the beach!||Lastly, after a full day of enjoying whatever your heart desires, it is so comforting to return to a Harbor Room or Baron Loft and relax in the best of hotel settings, from the contemporary living and sleeping areas to a spacious patio or terrace overlooking the pool and a gorgeous pier and dock. ||In closing, a vacation spent at Baron’s Cove is a vacation well spent. You will leave Baron’s with plans to return. Cheers to...

Three stars, because this hotel and restaurant are just average all accounts. My wife and I came to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary as well as our baby moon. Both were mentioned after booking the hotel and dinner reservations. (was looking forward to getting some gift or perk, but received nothing and not even a simple acknowledgement or congratulations at check in) We stayed in the loft suite which faced the pool and harbor. The room was clean, but the couch layout made watching the tv or looking out the patio door awkward. Nice thing about the room, is it came with nespresso capsules, so you can have good coffee in the morning.( no extra charge) The refrigerator is empty so there’s no mini bar, and the ductless ac in the loft section drips water on the floor all night and has no way the adjust, because there is no remote. Additionally, when you ask the front desk. Where’s the best place to park so it’s closest to the room. They really should learn their own property, because they told me to park on the opposite side of the hotel when there was one steps away. Lastly, the restaurant if I could rate separately I’d give 4 stars. Food takes good, but nothing amazing and service was fine though our server seemed overly busy for just a few tables. He did his best though. Also freebies here for celebrating. Overall the property was fine. I probably wouldn’t come back due to the cost of $400 per night for a room and what you’re getting in return don’t really match up. The restaurant I probably would go back if I were in the area. Good luck.

TLDR: Basic (3.3 stars on Google) restaurant. Small pool and gym are the only attraction on site. Small and dark rooms facing the parking lot for +$740 a night. Good: secluded and safe. Helpful and friendly staff. Complimentary bicycle (not promoted by staff. Bad: 1) Rooms: there should not be an option to get a stuffy and dark room facing the parking lot. In other words, room categories should exist and mediocre rooms should be price capped to ensure the overall reputation of the facility isn’t damaged. If you’re planning on WFH, you’d have to uncomfortably do so in the restaurant as neither the rooms nor the lobby have a desk. Lastly, their shower head is the Motel 8 kind - not cool. 2) Restaurant: the 3.3 rating on Google Maps tells the story. OK: 1) Gym, however far from being a luxury hotel gym. Need to make the space larger and add a cage / pull up bar / many more weights to begin with. 2) pool service: friendly but busy chatting with one another vs. checking on the guests or refilling water. Plastic silverware (wow). Not cleaning or clearing tables frequently. Overall: was hoping to find a getaway we can keep coming back to from the city; we’ll have to keep looking.

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights in May to explore the Hamptons. The hotel is 20 minutes from East Hampton and Main Beach. It's about 30 minutes to Montauk. Barons Cove is incredibly charming! The lobby and bar/living room area are gorgeous with high gloss black woodwork and a fireplace. The upstairs restaurant has a view of the harbor and is also gorgeous. It's traditional but very chic. The service was welcoming and friendly especially Christine at the front desk. We loved our room which was big with a comfy bed and a TV. The food at the restaurant was delicious. We had several meals there and all were perfect. We also ate at the American Hotel which was awesome. Nick and Toni's was great too. The town of Sag Harbor is absolutely perfect! It's so cute and the shops are not touristy. We loved Barons Cove and can't wait to go back!
