Hey there! I couldn't locate any online reviews of Unit 4 before booking so I felt compelled to write about the horrible room experience (one star). I've been traveling to TI since I was an infant and couldn't wait to finally share this place with my SO and stay in one of the cute beachside "Old Florida" motels. ||||This is on the first floor, opposite the parking lot side, and the door is DIRECTLY in front of the pool gate, so that's awkward but whatever. Check-in was easy since it's just a key code. Let's get straight to why no one deserves this sad room:||||PROS: ||||— clean room, clean bathroom, clean kitchen||— quiet, didn't hear people on either side or above us.||— obviously a wonderful location (read all the other reviews for more on that)||||CONS: ||||Pictures looked nice online! But we were woefully disappointed||||— the closet was actually just room storage. Filled with stuff, smelled bad, and had no hangers. (see photo)||||— the bathroom was more of a powder room with a tub. Sit on the toliet and your knees are almost to the sink. And the sink was teeny tiny. Not a big deal at all but just noting it in case you are taller than 5'8||||— the bed was a queen size, nice right? NOPE. It was the worst mattress I have ever experienced at a hotel or rental. It's a murphy bed, so imagine a pullout couch-like mattress, maybe two inches thick, and you could feel metal coils through the mattress when you slept or shifted. It was baaaad and we slept on it for four nights.||||— also with the bed, theres no headboard, just a giant gap between you and the wall. So if you weren't careful your pillows would fall on the floor (gross)||||Back to other horrors:||||— arrived to BROKEN vertical blinds leaving huge gaps and no privacy (see photo). So my excitement around staying at this cute place was immediately deflated — had to go buy strong (not scotch) tape to fix the blinds!||||— arrived to a DAMP as heck room. Not just warm, I get that. The air was thick. It smelled like mildew. Having just come from three nights at the well ventilated Sunset Vistas nearby, this was disgusting and disappointing. I get the climate, but I have never experienced these moisture levels in a hotel/motel/rental. And it didn't get better once I turned on the AC…. eyes widen||||— the AC worked, sure, but due to the moisture levels, or lack of controlling said levels, it was very uncomfortable most of the time: being nice and cold meant feeling sickeningly damp. I tried cracking the windows a smidge to get some fresh air circulating, I think it helped? shrug||||— due to said moisture issues, leaving our luggage open on the futon and banquette meant DAMP clothes! So any wrinkley clothes that should've been hung up had there been a real closet would get damp if you tried setting them out. We kept suitcases closed as often as possible to prevent the contents from becoming and staying damp. barf||||— only two outlets: one in the kitchen, one in the bathroom. Nothing easily accessible along the walls (there was one probably hidden behind the dresser but it was at a bad angle because of the murphy bed situation so I didn't bother0.||||Thankfully we weren't in our room much. But darn, I will never ever stay in...
Read moreThis property is your basic 60's block 3 floor hotel. Nothing fancy but very well maintained. We rented two regular rooms and a 3rd floor two bedroom suite. The regular rooms were very small. If you plan to use the pull-out couches, if there's even room to do so, you find them very uncomfortable to sleep on. The regular beds were pretty comfortable. The regular rooms were very small but clean. |The 3rd floor was much more spacious and the balcony was overlooking the ocean. Note that the hotel is very far from the ocean even though you are "ocean front". Between you and the ocean is a large green space, a boardwalk, a grassy dune area and then the beach.|The hotel is very quiet, has room for shuffleboard, frisbee, biking and walking. There's a pool that is very clean and not too crowded. There's a service center where people will leave leftover food items such as coffee, condiments and paper products that will help out when you first get there. My only gripe was that we got in at 9PM and all I wanted was a drink to unwind from a long travel day. The common ice machine was broke. We had a full kitchen in our 2 bedroom and NO ice in the freezer. THIS bugged me.|We paid $2600 in March '23 for 6 days stay in the 2 bedroom ocean front with balcony. I didn't think this was too bad. We considered booking for '24 but were informed the rate was going up $1000. We won't pay that for this...
Read moreThe location is great. Place is quiet. They don't tell you how incredibly uncomfortably small the bathroom is. The ice machine isn't working. You get 2 towels for the shower and 2 for the beach. If I would have known I was going to have to pay $6 a day on you of the cost to rent just to have clean towels then I would have brought some with me. The original ad I looked at promised me the world but none of it was there. We messaged about it and they said there was nothing they could do and just stopped messaging. 1 roll of toilet paper and 1 roll of paper towels for the whole week. Had to go buy laundry supplies, toilet paper and paper towels. When if it would have told to me i could have brought everything i needed. Went in the office and she was not very friendly. $3 to wash $3 to dry and I am staying for 7 days on top of $1400. AND upon check out u want me to pay $3 to start washing the towels for you? The bathroom is so small my husband who has back problems couldn't get off the toilet. Will NOT be back cause you could disclose this information and don't promise me stuff on one website but not deliver. No beach chairs, umbrella, cooler in the room like stated and no grill. **Today is day 6 and the ice machine is still not working despite me telling 1 person at least 6 times and 2...
