If you are looking for unique and stunningly beautiful engagement and/or wedding rings, then Krikawa Jewelry Designs is the place for you!! This independently owned and operated jewelry story, led by the incomparably skilled and talented, Lisa Krikawa, makes your "Dream Ring Come True." Don't settle for a jewelry chain store with their cookie cutter selections of rings that look like every other ring found at chain stores in the mall. A Krikawa ring will stand out in the crowd, and others will be astounded and admire the extraordinary, artistic craftsmanship and unique design for that special someone.
2.5 years ago, my husband and I decided to design new wedding rings for our 30th Anniversary. I searched the internet for unusual and unique engagement & wedding rings. I was stunned in awe of Krikawa's pink sapphire Juicy Light Engagement Ring that popped up during my search; I was in love with the most beautiful ring in the world and secretly hoped I could have a ring this gorgeous and elegant! I knew we didn't have that big of a budget, but Ifollowed the link to the Krikawa website, and I perused its pages over and over, for over a year, lusting after these superb works of art to wear on your finger. I was also enamored with the Butterfly Fishtail Pave, the Flower Bouquet, & Mokume Gane rings.
My husband and I shopped around many jewelry stores throughout Arkansas, had a couple of jewelers sketch us a design, but none even compared to what I had seen at Krikawa's webpage. My husband asked why I was dragging my feet, and I finally confessed my deepest wish for a Mokume Gane ring(s)from Krikawa. I showed him their website, and he really liked the Mokume Gane, too. We prowled through the web looking for jewelers in Arkansas that made Mokume Gane rings--No one does and most didn't know what it was either. The out-of-state jewelers that design Mokume rings did not compare in beauty to Krikawa's rings. Despite all the positive reviews of Krikawa, we were both worried about designing & purchasing jewelry over the internet, as there are many unscrupulous people in cyberspace, and we wanted to see Mokume in person before committing to buy anything. My husband committed to a ring budget to fit Krikawa.
We planned our first ever Anniversary trip to Tucson specifically to visit the Krikawa showroom and look over their designs. I called ahead to Krikawa, just happened to speak with Lisa, and she reserved a consultation with us, even knowing we might not buy anything. We had the pleasure to meet Lisa and her wonderful family and co-workers for our 29th Anniversary Jan 2015. I was thrilled Lisa had the time to sit down with us, and within minutes of gazing at their awesome jewelry, I was ready for her help designing our rings! Lisa's warmth, enthusiasm, love, and passion for her art, her business, and her customers is genuinely heartfelt! After trying on several different rings and different colored Mokume bands, I decided the Juicy Light was too tall and wasn't quite for me. We chose some existing designs with some unique modifications for us.
Krikawa's customer service throughout the entire process is awesome, to say the least! They have trial bands in 0.25 increments for every ring size and band width that customers can wear for a short time. They answer emails and return calls quickly. They communicate every step of the way. The renderings they emailed were astonishingly detailed and pretty, yet they were nothing compared to the breath-taking beauty of the rings themselves. I was amazed at the triple ring box packaging, and my husband said the mailing box was equally as tough and durable.
I literally cried when I saw my awesome, dazzling rings for the first time. The intricate detail is exquisite. It is truly an honor and the fulfillment of a dream to own and proudly wear a...
Read moreWe began working with Krikawa in 2019, however due to the pandemic the proposal did not occur until late April 2022. It didnât seem right to post our review until after we had both seen the ring, hence the lengthy delay. We are ECSTATIC to finally be able to give an in-depth description of our experience with Kirkawa because they were fantastic! Sandrine was the team member that shepherded us through the ring design process, using her knowledge to refine our vision. After a couple of iterations and modifications, she had their graphic designer render an image that we were able to check and adjust until it looked perfect for us. It was an extensive process to locate stones that were the appropriate size and that also fit within our budget, but Sandrine worked tirelessly for months until she found exactly what we needed. This meant so much to me as a disabled veteran because we were truly able to get our dream ring for a price that we could afford. The center stone of my ring is an oval light-yellow diamond and Sandrine had Lisa, the founder and CEO, consult with me. Lisa wanted to ensure that we were using the right materials in the right places to enhance the center stone compared to the two pear-shaped stones on the sides that are colorless (white) diamonds. When deciding the color of the center stoneâs basket Lisa was originally unsure if my suggestions were correct, but she did a video call with me and physically modeled every example herself so that my yellow diamond shined perfectly. Lisa shared her expertise and ultimately agreed with my early choice; this speaks a lot to her character because it is easy to imagine that a CEO could be ego-driven, but Lisa possesses unbridled kindness and humility. Lisa and the entire design team at Krikawa are dedicated to doing what is necessary and taking the time to make the ring of YOUR dreams a reality. The payment/invoicing process was simple and hassle-free. We received our ring in April of 2020 during the early Los Angeles lockdown period. Proposal plans fell through repeatedly, but we were in no hurry and wanted to make sure that it was a proposal that wasnât compromised due to the circumstances of the pandemic, and instead was something we will glow about each time we recount it for years to come. And it was. Seeing the ring for the very first time was incredible; it is GORGEOUS and looks almost exactly like the rendered image. We would like to extend our gratitude to Sandrine, who spent more hours on the phone with me during the pandemic than I did with my own sister. We fully endorse Krikawa and will be contacting them soon about designing the...
Read moreI can't say enough about this Company. My husband and I got engaged over 10 years ago. He was overseas in Okinawa while we were dating and found the absolute PERFECT engagement ring for me online on Krikawa's website. It was the Contemporary Infinity ring. Well, along the way, I lost the ring a few years into the marriage. I never forgave myself and never considered I ever have anything as nice again. On our 9 year anniversary my husband asked if he could buy me the same ring as an anniversary gift. Granted, it did not take him long to talk me into this idea. I have been pining for my ring for YEARS, and I knew that Krikawa still had the design (obviously bc it's so beautiful)!! We ordered a new engagement ring and matching band (didn't have the band before) to replace my pretty sad "set" that I currently had which was a mash up of 2 sterling silver little bands and my original, cheap band that had a row of diamond chips. Nothing too special, but I reserved myself to the fact that this was my punishment for losing my prized possession! Anyway, enough about me...for whatever reason I felt like the backstory was important to this review!
Let me review Krikawa....I worked predominantly with Nicole Dillon. She was SOOO incredibly patient with me and walked me through everything. You see, I wasn't involved in the first purchase at all. Nick simply ordered it online, picked the diamond and paid for it. And it was beautiful! But now that I got involved, I had to make it complicated. I called Nicole no less than 3 different times in a week to literally discuss whether I wanted 6 prongs or 4 prongs for the setting. She sent me examples and mock ups of both, diagrams, any image she could find to try and help me make my decision. She went above and beyond for this crazy person calling her about prongs on her setting...that you barely notice! She was so kind and patient and wonderful to work with. Once I FINALLY made my decision, they got the mock up back to us lighting fast. And despite everything happening with Covid, my order was not delayed. In fact it came 2 weeks sooner than I was anticipating. I also heard from Ryan Davidson-Reed who was the Production Specialist with regular updates and he kept me informed of everything from the time is was cast to when it was sent to me. I cannot recommend this company enough. The entire experience was wonderful from start to finish. As much as I love them, I hope I never need their services again though! Because that may mean I...
