I had a horrifying experience at this branch. I initially ordered one tall and one grande size but they gave me two grande size. When i told them they got my order wrong, an employee named Laryssa just threw a drink off at the sink and toast me a tall size drink very rudely without checking my order, not even saying a simple word. So i asked her if i was wrongly charged two grande drinks (I didn't know that i paid for two grande drinks because the staff who got my order made a mistake.) then she angrily took my wrong drink, just threw it off again, poor the new one and toast roughly the drink to me WITHOUT A WORD OR ANY APOLOGY. I almost took a tall size drink though i was charged two grande. When i tried to figure it out accurately, she repeated "I gave you two grande but you wanted a tall size." How ridiculous. She should have checked their misatake at first. I am actaully writing this review because i felt that my poor treatment was a form of "RACISM". Laryssa was consistently rude to asian who had an asian accent and was much nicer to other white customers. When i was asking her to check my order and she responded very rudely(just threw drinks off twice angrily in front of my eyes), every customers in the branch were sympathetically looking at me obviously 100%. It was one of the most embarrassing and humiliating experience, a nightmare. I really hope other asian avoid this branch while visitng grand canyon. And i sincerely hope the branch manger or someone who supervise this branch see this re-educate employee as not to make anyone else feel this horrible. I am definitely going to report this to the starbucks customer satisfaction, which is very first complaint i have ever raised in my 30 years of my life. That is how humiliated i was and how terrible day laryssa made it for me druing my valuable trip to grand canyon. Read moreIt was a pleasant surprise to find a Starbucks on such cold day. The staff was great, besides 1 whom thought it was awesome to share her miserable life experiences with customers. Full story... we walked in with our kids to get hot chocolate. My husband ordered a coffee and asked for honey... an employee politely informed us they were out. So, my husband walked into the adjacent grocery store, and purchased a bottle for the Starbucks patrons. Upon informing the Starbucks staff, an employee decided to approach my husband and accused him of being DISRESPECTFUL and ungrateful. When I asked her if this was appropriate behavior in front of my kids, she told him he was a bad parent. She became increasingly disgruntled when he thanked her for her time. She asked "you come from a city right?" My husband responded with "yes I do actually". She loudly and combatively stated "well it must be nice we dont have the luxury of delivery as big cities and people come in and waste our honey".
I am not one to normally complain or leave reviews unless it was a 100% positive experience because I dont believe in spreading negativity, but it was a big error on her part to behave this way as an employee with no reasonable cause. Read moreWe had our worst Starbuck's experience ever at this location. We had stopped in just to get one ice coffee drink and use up the rest of a gift card. The place was busy with the usual breakfast crowd and they even made an announcement that food offerings would be delayed. We waited, waited some more and watched people who ordered after us get their drinks. We asked "how long" and the staff said they not got all the tickets. We waited MORE, then asked again. They staff was unhelpful and uncaring. It was so bad ANOTHER customer came up and told the staff how could they have missed our order (again, ONE drink). Finally, after telling the staff a THIRD time and past 45 minutes waiting they made my wife's drink without a single "sorry" . Mistakes and lost orders happen.
