Given all the 5-star reviews, I was surprised to have a different experience. I had the club sandwich. According to the menu, it comes with white American cheese (I prefer provolone or mozz but neither were available), but it arrived with yellow American, my least favorite cheese. I asked the waitress to switch to the white American but she returned the sandwich with Swiss, and no explanation. I was OK with that... the sandwich was good. I later learned from the manager that the menu was wrong. All that could have been avoided had the waitress simply acknowledged the error when I ordered.
When my party was ready to leave, I wasn't sure if we should continue waiting for the ticket, so I proceeded to the register. The waitress met me halfway but had trouble processing the order and was unable to produce a ticket! She said the app was new. After several attempts, she summoned the manager. He also had trouble producing a ticket (the waitress apparently entered the order incorrectly). I was getting impatient. Rather than apologize, the manager became defensive when I mentioned the cheese issue and retorted "I guess you can't please everyone"... I took that to mean he thought my concerns were unreasonable. I just wanted to pay and move on. Although we were speaking quietly, he seemed concerned we might be drawing the attention of other customers (we were standing in the middle of the small dining area), so he ended the conversation by waiving the bill.
In hindsight, I shouldn't have mentioned the issue with my sandwich when the mgr was clearly frustrated with the order processing app. If I had the cash to cover the bill, I would have left it on the table but I didn't so I had no choice but to thank him and depart. When I'm in the area again, I'll definitely return and give Drigo's...
Read moreImmediately seated (no waiting) and greeted by Maria who acknowledged our greetings and pleasantries. Our waitress Erika was the polar opposite with us, but by keen observation and actions was very pleasant with the table in front of us. We didn’t get that. HOWEVER, we are fully aware when people are annoyed by our presence (60M), (50FM). Retired from the military so we definitely understand idiosyncrasies, people and behavior. We are not new or oblivious to our surroundings.
Before anyone comes for me. Understand that we greeted Erika who not once acknowledged our attempted salutations. Even when we were leaving we told her to have a nice day and she just looked at us and walked off. This is why we felt compelled to write this review because we believe in speaking our truth and calling out what we deemed as an unpleasant experience. We quickly ate and left.
Maria on the other hand was full of life we told her so and thanked again before walking out.
Now, the food was hot, delicious and as ordered. Plus, the place was very squeaky clean...
Read moreWould not recommend. Given the wrong food. The unfriendly waitress, who didn’t even as much as apologize, gave my burger to another table. Upon bringing it to her attention, I honestly think she was going to go take it from that customer and bring it to me until I told her not to. Kids French toast=1 slice of bread. Nothing else, for $7. The menu says it comes with butter and powdered sugar, but it does not. That’s an expensive slice of bread! Places like this serve crap and do not care about quality or customer service because it’s a vacation town and they know their crappy service is not going to affect any repeat customers because there are none. This restaurant sadly has the highest reviews in Tusayan, but it is a joke. The food is overpriced and not that good. The waitress needs some lessons on...
