To start off, this hotel was in a great location. Walking distance from dozens of shops and restaurants, and less than a block from the pier and public beach. Other than that, the stay was far from comfortable. First off the parking lot is packed and if you have anything bigger than a small car, good luck trying to find a spot. Every time our party parked we all had to get out before we could get in a space; and sometimes we had a hard time even finding a spot. Once we got in the room, things looked up until it was shower time. There was a gap in the floor and dirt all over the -single- towel rack. Once in the shower, there was mold all over the curtain. I needed to wear shoes because of all the grit left over from the people who stayed there before. One of the cheaper places on the island, but for $200-$250 a night, you would think it would be maintained a little better.

The staff were pleasant and accommodating for the most part. Great location to the beach. My kids want to come back to the same hotel this year for one of the kids' birthday. We shall see...What the hotel should work on is the Reception Desk phone lines which were down on our 2nd day stay there. We had to walk from our room to the Front Desk to talk face to face to Receptionist for requests. Hotel needs to get stronger shower curtain rods. Ours kept falling down. The shower curtain rods are used in hotels for wet clothes to dry from the pool/beach. There's not much of a closet space...We will be back regardless. We enjoyed our stay. It was a great vacation experience for the family overall. Thank you Sea & Breeze Hotel & Condo staff...

First day, okay. I knew the rooms were dated. But the people that work the front desk, ALL of them, were sorry and rude. The male person that worked the front desk locked the office door and put up a sign and began playing on the Internet. I had to have room cards swiped over and over because they'd lock us out. The city shut down the merky pool the very next day after we arrived. They told us to walk up the road and laughed about it to swim at another owned hotel. If I had known how unprofessional the front desk was and the pool being cloudy, I would have went somewhere else to stay. I spent $200 per night to stay there and only had 6 rooms. The front desk had overcharged my rooms and caused my card to decline charging me 9 times. Thank God my bank had my back. Had to chase housekeeping to get towels and such. Rooms were not cleaned daily or supplied daily. But housekeeping were foreign workers were nice. I told housekeeping about the front desk people. They said to contact S. Patel. I have no idea how or who he is besides a owner. No outdoor chairs to sit in, no working elevator for handicapped. No handicap parking because the front desk manager said to move vehicle. They allowed others to park in parking spaces that were very compact causing all of my family to have to park sideways and blocking someone in. I received a phone call from front desk the night before we left that I better move a vehicle or I will receive a early morning wake up call on my cell phone. Oh, the room phones do NOT work either and the a/c's were just as bad making all sorts of rattling and pounding noise. My son was asleep in his room and someone else opened the door after they were checked in to his room. Major muck up...then the card swiping begins again. I heard other people complain while there...I just looked forward to leaving and never returning to this pile of mess. The owner needs to upgrade his front desk employees ALL OF THEM EVEN THE MANAGER! If they are going to continue to stay in business. They need tables and chairs, new lounge chairs, around the pool area and a kept up pool that functions. If you are going to charge over $200 a night, upgrade the accommodations. Oh, there's a bar below this hotel called Wet Willies. I knew the noise from the street was going to be there. You'd have to be drunk out of your mind to stay there and tolerate front desk employees treating everyone beneath them. We were your guest S. Patel, we deserve better. A lot of your guest have traveled further than me. If you want to keep a nice hotel by the strip, you need to take in consideration that you do not need to employee unqualified people. And get your building inspected and upgraded, the pool too. I say this with honesty. Bulldoze the entire facility and rebuild a New Hotel with...

Where do I begin?

FIrst, as I was booking our reservation via online, I noticed that the reservation link was not secure. I felt uneasy giving my credit card information over the internet, so I called the front desk. I was taken back by the way the staff had handled my phone call. I was on hold for at least 10 minutes long, then they sounded annoyed by my call.

Next, when we arrived at the hotel, the parking was beyond horrible. I drive a midsize SUV, and I could hardly fit it in the parking lot. Suggestion: create parking for larger vehicles/trucks.

Once we walked in our room, it was a joke. The television was not working adequately, the border along the top of the walls was peeling off and hanging down. On the door, there is a decorative port hole. The port hole was covered with a piece of plywood TAPED on with masking tape. Our bathroom had a towel holder, and the towels were on the vanity countertop instead of the holder...that tells me housekeeping was too lazy to finish their job. The floors were ridiculously nasty, and the room did not have a chair. We had to sit on the beds.

When we were ready to go to the beach, we needed ice for our cooler. We went to the front desk to ask where the ice machine was, and the response was, "we will give you a complimentary small bucket of ice, but you have to pay for extra ice". Who does that?

Lastly, the checkout process was chaotic. We were ready to leave at 7:30am on Sunday, and no one was at the office. It was locked. There were several people standing outside to check out & get "complimentary" coffee.

For the price of the stay ($207 for ONE night), I expected much more. I travel for work, and have stayed in several hotels. This is by far one of the worst experiences I've ever had. My hotel in Haiti was better than this, and I was in a rebuilding location. Whoever said they were "renovating" needs to re-evaluate their renovation plan and possibly their staff. This makes me not want to go to...

I just called this place to see if me and my kids could come back and them have a better experience with Tybee Island due to our previous extremely uncomfortable stay at a discounted rate. Her answer was no. The lady said she remembered me and said that, "I offered to give you a refund but you said yall will be ok". Let me tell you and everyone else something, if I was offered to get my money back with all of what was going on, I would have taken it in a heartbeat!!!! I am not stupid! I was only told that I would not be charged the 200$ that they were charging in case of the room getting destroyed. To the lady at the front desk, THE OLDER COUPLE IN FRONT OF ME SAID THEY WOULD STAY AND JUST NOT COME OUT THAT NIGHT. Trying to cover your own butt is not ok, just be honest. A lady that was drunk with her friends and a police officer is what may have distracted you in the office when we were trying to check in. I took my kids to this place not knowing it was orange crush going on but had already paid almost 300$ for a room and there was no refund stated on the websight. Yes I am crazy for paying that but at the same time we have a lot of personal issues going on. At the front desk I was told that I would not be charged the extra 200$ due to not knowing it was orange crush. I NEVER was told that they would give me a refund. I would have left in a freakin heart beat if that was the case. All I called for was to see if I could get some type of discount so I could bring my kids back and actually enjoy our Tybee Island and not be scared to death of people being loud and stomping, yelling wake the f up at 3am. Worst stay ever!!!!! So no refunds, and no discounts to try and ammend the horrific stay. Just a front desk lady telling me that I am pretty much crazy and a bad parent because I didn't accept a refund that was SUPPOSEDLY offered. Shame on them. Shame on me if I ever stay there again or don't let others know how...
