Absolutely THE BEST!!! We celebrated our wedding at Beachview in Oct2024 and I cannot possibly speak highly enough about the entire experience! From our first meeting with Wendy, she patiently guided us thru the wedding planning process and coordinated with all our vendors (we are newly local, so her recommendations were super helpful). The wedding ceremony and reception setup were beautiful and exactly as planned. The stay - each of this historic inn’s rooms are unique and beautiful!! Most have clawfoot tubs and separate sitting areas with little kitchenettes. Plus all areas are extremely clean and some rooms even allow dogs (which we loved)! Not to mention the scenic views from the rocking chairs on the wrap around porch 🤩 The location - just a quick block or so from the beach (there are 2 beach entrances nearby) and close all the local Tybee shops! Beachview provides bikes and we also rented a few golf carts for the weekend. The spa - salt room and sauna day for my ladies and myself pre wedding was a great idea!! The salt room was a first for most of us, and the massage chairs and saunas were the best. The food - yummmmm!! The breakfast is delicious, homemade to-order and Karen is a delight to chat with each morning. The wedding food was a local shrimp broil with sausage, potatoes and corn, served with salad, and rolls - all perfect and super flavorful! Again, wonderful wedding experience and we highly recommend!!

Like the Loggerhead sea turtles who return to Tybee Island every year to nest, we will be returning to the Beach View Inn! Karen, Wendy and staff are a team of truly dedicated professionals—and the beautifully restored, historic house sparkles as a result. We stayed in the Ocean View room where we were cheered instantly by the yellow walls and elegant low country style. It was especially wonderful to arrive to a warm welcome at breakfast by either Karen or Wendy, two women who form an inspiring mother-daughter duo. The coffee is rich and piping hot—and we cannot say enough good things about the scrumptious, made from scratch food. We are also great lovers of local craft beers and IPAs. With extremely short notice the night before, I requested the favor that a six pack of Savannah River IPAs be waiting as a surprise for my husband. Despite hosting a wedding the night before, Karen and staff came through to help me hit this one outta the park! I am eternally grateful for their helpfulness, and cannot be a bigger fan of this true Tybee gem!!

We were lucky enough to spend 10 days here for a much-needed vacation with rest, food, and beach time. Karen, Frank, Cathy, and Wendy were so welcoming to us for the duration of our stay and had wonderful stories to share as we connected and were treated like family! The B&B is quiet and full of historical charm. Weekends can be a little crazy with all the visitors trying to find parking and visit the beach, so we suggest planning your trip for weekdays which are much more calm and relaxing. Enjoy people watching and views of the Atlantic from the porch or take a bike they offer to visit the entire island. You don't even need a car to get around! Make sure to visit AJs for a waterfront view and 80E Gastropub for delicious food! We enjoyed our stay and recommend this vacation place to anyone who wants to slow down, catch up on reading books for fun, meet some wonderful people, or swim in the warm waters of the Atlantic!

Ok. My vacation did not start at the Beachview, but at the Desoto Beachfront Hotel . When we checked in we were given a room by the elevator. Not wanting to hear the elevator all day and night I asked if there were other rooms available and was given a room one room over. Why I wasn’t given that room in the first place I don’t know but ok. We go to that room and there is a distinct overwhelming smell in the room and my wife walks in and says “ I smell urine”, there is definitely a smell of urine in this room”. I believe her because she was a bloodhound in a prior life and has a nose like one. We Go down to the front desk and tell the young lady working there of the smell and she relies “human urine”? My wife replies I don’t know, Does it really matter? They give us another room one floor below but right under the urine room. Ok. We Go down to the beach since it’s beachfront only to find the stairs to the beach with yellow tape around and the steps missing with nothing but handrails. On either side is a sand cliff 2 feet high which requires one to jump down. 2 hip replacements and back surgery did not make it a fun jump. Go back to the room for a shower and find the shower handle is so loose it’s about to fall off. Ok. Come back from dinner and get ready for bed, wife is in the bathroom and I pull the sheets off and I see 2 tiny white bugs. Never seen a bedbug before so I don’t know what they were but they were definitely bugs and shouldn’t have been there IMO I didn’t tell my wife because she would have high tailed it out of there and it was midnight and I couldn’t take the stress of leaving that late not finding another place so I chanced it. Wake up in the morning around 8, everything seemed ok with the bugs and my wife goes to the bathroom. Next thing I hear “honey the toilets overflowing “. Overflowing right into the room and carpet. At that point we call it quits, pack up and go to the young girl at the front desk ( who couldn’t have been nicer and was very sweet and looked shocked at the problems were we were having) and Told her we had had it and were checking out. And as it turned out the overflow in our room leaked right down into the room below ours. We left looking for another place to stay which was difficult as it was the weekend before local school is back in session so not many vacancies . We came across the Beachview Bed Breakfast and told them our sob story and they had one room available and the lady, Wendy, could not have been any nicer or hospitable and immediately gave us the room as opposed to waiting until the afternoon check in time which was a godsend so we can unpack and relax for a bit. The cottage they gave us was PHENOMENAL. It had a sitting room with two comfy leather chairs, a beautiful bedroom with a king sized bed and a huge bathroom. Above all is was CLEAN and smelled great. The rooms were very beachy and gave off a very relaxed atmosphere. They are literally a 5 minute walk to the beach so it’s no big deal. They have bikes, beach chairs and beach towels available for your convenience. But the best thing about the place is the people that work there. Wendy couldn’t have been nicer and literally saved our vacation from being a nightmare to one of the most memorable we have had. There is also a spa associated with the place and they have a salt room, sauna and steam room which we took advantage of. Additionally they had these amazing massage chairs. I have to include the delicious and homemade breakfast that is served everyday That comes with your stay. If you are looking for a worthwhile place to stay and want a truly relaxing vacation with the most accommodating, nicest staff who exhibit true southern hospitality this is the place. Couldn’t recommend it any higher and will...

CAUTION!!!! PLEASE READ IF YOU ARE CONSIDERING HAVING YOUR WEDDING HERE!! Beachview is by no means a PROFESSIONAL wedding services/coordination place. In fact, I venture to say they stumbled into the wedding business because of the location of the bed & breakfast... I booked Beachview because I was told they could do EVERYTHING for me.. from securing vendors & decor to making sure my husband’s elderly grandmother was escorted onto the beach by local lifeguards.. NONE of these things or anything in-between happened!! After months of communicating with Wendy literally NOTHING had been planned or secured so naturally I began securing my own vendors and decor... long story short it wasn’t until about a week before my wedding that I was told that bringing my own decor, securing my own vendors, etc is very out of the norm for Beachview weddings. Upon my arrival Karen (owner) made it a point to pull me aside & let me know that they have a set way of doing things & they normally don’t deviate from their way but would “do me the favor” of using my decor, setting up, etc. (never admitting or acknowledging the lack of communication and follow through that caused me to secure my own vendors/decor in the first place, which I had been vocal about twice before) She fully acted as though this was “favor” versus a signed business contract. Had I known this in the beginning I would not have booked my wedding here. Had I known the temperament of Karen I surely would not have booked my wedding here. Even my guests noticed she was all over the place. The day of my wedding my dad (dressed in his wedding clothes) had to set up tables because she exploded in the middle of set up about the lay out of the tables. On two separate occasions she stormed off away from my guests because she couldn’t understand their accent while they were asking her a question. She shouted at my DJ and rudely dismissed him for “being late” although he arrived at 3:30pm for a 7pm event.. It was a true mess from start to finish. From securing my own vendors down to my father and other guests setting up some of the wedding as the staff walked around confused from lack of direction and Karen’s explosive behavior. Honestly I regret having my wedding here and could not wait for it to be over simply because the planning process with Beachview was so miserable. I paid for wedding coordination services that I did not receive. I’m grateful that the majority of my guests who traveled far were not negatively impacted and overall had a good time. I also appreciate Elaina & Frank who were pleasant and accommodating all weekend. I truly caution you if you are considering having your wedding here. Wendy (wedding coordinator) is very nice but she has zero passion for the business. It is painfully obvious that she gets put through the ringer by Karen, which ultimately makes it very hard for her to do her coordination job. I honestly felt bad for Wendy & other staff members after dealing with Karen first hand. She is truly all over the place.. one moment she will shower you with hospitality and the next moment she is manic with a horrible attitude toward guests and her own staff! Another thing I will caution is the wedding contract... the contract they make you sign for weddings states NOTHING that the bed & breakfast is responsible for and/or promises to execute; it is simply a money grab that ensures they recoup money if anything happen from the client’s end. Seeing how they operate, I am sure they purposely omit what clients should expect from them or would have had a lawsuit on their hands by now! BEWARE...

Management was entirely rude. Drove 5 hours from our home to come stay in Tybee but our beach house wasn’t prepared yet. (Knowingly we were staying two blocks over from this “resort”) the only coffee shop on this island was right beside but not attached to the Inn. Online said they had WiFi which we desperately needed due to work purposes. Came in around 10:45 and purchased some breakfast but the only seating available was for people staying in the inn which was roped off, and other customers had to do take out or sit outside. Which we happily sat outside with our computers and food but obviously the sun became very warm so we decided since they weren’t offering seating inside for regular customers we’d stay in the ac filled car. An hour and a half went on and a woman came banging on my car window, getting into my face implying I was a squatter and needed to go “sleep” somewhere else (I took a nap because of our 5 hour drive while my boyfriend attended a meeting on his laptop). Claiming that people spend 400$ for this view and ocean side, while online it says 225$ to stay tonight. This is the type of place that can be entirely fake to your face because you’re just giving them money. Breakfast was great, and had planned to go again and Mention it to the 15 other guests I have at my house, the cashier was super sweet too. But because the pure hatred I saw from the older white woman pooling out of her I will not support such a company or brand. I openly explained our situation to her in a calm voice and she had preceded to yell and come into my car doorway. I hope you as a customer don’t intend to waste your money at a place with management or ownership so...
